We have been with Merryhill in Lone Tree for a year now. Our toddler moved here after a bad experience at a different daycare and our 6 month old just started here one month ago. We have had the best experience at Merryhill. We have highly recommended it to all of our friends with daycare-aged babies. Our family is so grateful for all the lovely teachers and staff we've had the pleasure of working with. We love the infant teachers, Ms. Monica, Ms. Maddy, and Ms. Alejandra. We are also so grateful for Ms. Suset, Ms. Kami, and Ms. Ramya in the toddler classrooms. We absolutely love Merryhill Preschool! Both of my children attend, and the experience has been wonderful for our family. The teachers are warm, attentive, and truly invested in helping each child grow. MerryHill Preschool is absolutely amazing! From the moment you walk in, you can feel how caring, welcoming, and family-centered this school is. Danielle takes the time to really get to know each family and truly understands every student as an individual. The infant room teachers--Ms. Stephanie, Mrs. Maddie, and Ms. Angel--are incredible. They love and nurture the little ones while helping them meet and celebrate each milestone along the way. It gave me so much peace knowing my baby was in such gentle, supportive hands. Merryhill Preschool of Lone Tree has been such a blessing for our family. From the moment we met Danielle, the director, we knew this was the right place--she's truly a ray of sunshine and sets the warm, welcoming tone for the whole school. Our son has been here for a year, starting in the infant room before he could walk, where Ms. Maddie was an absolute angel and cared for him like her own. When he moved up to the toddler room, Ms. Ramya and Ms. Sarita were so gentle and loving, helping him grow in confidence. Now, in the 2-year-old room, Ms. Monica and Ms. Swapna are amazing--teaching him so much every day. Just tonight at bedtime, he told me to "take deep breaths" (a sweet lesson he clearly learned at school), and recently, he surprised us by counting to ten! He even tells us, "3:00, wake up, lights on," which makes us smile every time. I'm so grateful for Merryhill and the many caring people who work there. It truly feels like a second home for our son! We have 4 kids who have all attended Merryhill over the past 7 years - we have moved further away from the school over the years and have tried a few other area daycares closer to our home. We keep coming back to Merryhill and after a couple of not-so-great experiences have decided it's been a mistake to look elsewhere for a more dedicated and caring staff. We are currently driving about 20 miles in one direction to send our twins here because we know they are loved, supported and cared for by trustworthy individuals. Danielle has been such an amazing principal, going out of her way to help accommodate a quick transition back to Merryhill after our last experience ended badly at another daycare. We trust Danielle and her staff (Logan, Ashley, Dean, Swapna, Suset, Ramya, Monica and Rae, to name just a few!) implicitly and it is an added bonus that they are all wonderful, friendly humans we look forward to seeing every day! read more

Danielle, the principal, is so helpful, friendly, and welcoming and immediately made us feel like we made a good decision. Merryhill has been a great school for our little guy. He started at age 3 & is 4 now. We had a few challenges with consistency of rooms (which was hardest during potty training) but the staff listened & got things worked out so he was comfortable & in a solid routine. I have 4 sons ages 22-2 years old that have all attended Merryhill School of Lone Tree. I have been a Merryhill mom for 19 years and I'm amazed at how consistent and wonderful their program and care is. It is really special to me that I can have a trusted place to take care of my kiddo. We have been with Merryhill for the past 5.5 years- Danielle the principal is so caring and treats every child like one of her own. My kids both feel like Merryhill is a home away from home given the environment Danielle and the teachers provide. Danielle, Ms. Logan and Ms. Ashley (admin team) all welcome the kids with the warmest hellos, starting their days off right. My older child is now in 1st grade and I feel that Merryhill prepared her very well for kindergarten!! My 3.5 year old son has had amazing care by Ms. Maddie, Ms. Monica, Ms. Ray and now Ms. Pat. Each time he moves up to the next classroom I get so sad, but then he has just as amazing of an experience with his new teacher. We took our then 11 month old daughter to Merryhill and absolutely loved it. Got photos all day, she was learning, they'd dress her up, feed her, teach her things, and loved her. We moved and thus decided to take her to another place that was closer to our new house...and it seemed like all learning stopped for those 3 months she was away! We recently re-enrolled her and she was SO excited to get back to her teachers, she's got more words now than ever, and I'm confident we have her in the right place! My daughter was at Merryhill from 12 weeks old to 5 years old. Like most day cares, there was quite a bit of staff turnover in her 5 years there but there were also many wonderful constants including the assistant director Adriana, a couple of the infant teachers (Ms. Danielle and Ms. Vee) and some of the preschool teachers (Ms. Jody and Mr. Michael). No matter the turnover, there was so much consistency in routine that it never affected my daughter. Additionally, we were always greeted warmly each morning and evening. I feel like my daughter is well prepared for Kindergarten, and know that she felt nothing but love and support during her time here. We are very happy with Merryhill Preschool. From the leadership to the classroom teachers everyone is fully invested in the children. All of the teachers have been truly wonderful. Our daughter absolutely loves going to school in the morning. She gets to engage in such a great variety of activities that both keep her entertained and provide her with skills. We have noticed her social development, artistic ability, motor skills, and communication have been developing rapidly ever since joining the school. Some other features we love is the app based classroom communication to parents. The curriculum. The nutritional meals that are provided. The friendliness of he entire staff. Lastly the extra activities and involvement the school provides to parents. Kris, the director for this center, is amazing. I have an infant daughter in one of their rooms. I feel like family whenever I walk in there. The facility is clean, people are always smiling, and it just has a great atmosphere. I have recommended this place to many friends with infants and continue to do so. Our daughter has been at Merryhill in Lone Tree for a little over 1 year. She started when she was 2 and she has grown and learned so much in only 1 year. We have been happy with Merryhill and trust the staff. The teachers are all very loving, nurturing and knowledgeable. Ms. Heather, Ms. Becky, Ms. Danielle, Mr. Michael and so many more have set her up to enjoy school and learning. All the staff know all the children, no matter the classroom, by their names and it is a friendly and welcoming environment. Like any preschool (unfortunately), there has been a fair amount of turnover and changes but this hasn't impacted her learning and overall experience. We also like the community and that the parents in her classroom try to foster this sense of community - we have gotten to know each other and invite each other to birthdays and events. read more

You have to think about what you want in childcare. If you don't, schools will be happy to tell you what you should think. The fad today is to boast about curriculum, because it's quantitative. Every parent out there wants to make sure their kids are prepared and marketers thrive off that. My husband and I care strongly for education but we also have high standards for other criteria in a school as well, and Lone Tree's Merryhill has met all of them. We check for warmth. Are the walls painted? Is it cozy? Do the kids have art work hanging up? Do we hear laughing? Playing? We carefully watch the interaction between the director and the staff, as well as the staff with each other. We also watch kids reactions when we walk into a room. Do the kids gravitate towards us? Hardly notice we're there? We've always felt kids who drop everything and gravitate towards visitors could be an indication of boredom or not enough mental stimulation. The kids at Merryhill are busy playing and laughing. Always engaged. My kids never walk by the front door without being greeted. The director, Kris, is an excellent leader and director. I don't want to speak for the staff, but, they seem very close knit and very good at communicating with each other. They appear happy. I find that fact comforting because I know if one of the teachers needs an extra hand or some teamwork, they'll likely get it.. and that's what's really best for the kids. No one teacher can do it all, every single day. There seems to be a lot of strong cohesion at Merryhill, and really, no business achieves that unless the leader running it has the talent to create the condition. I see the director, Kris, go out of her way to reach out to the kids. She knows all of them by name. In fact, I think just about everyone that works there knows each kid by name. If one of my girls is upset and misses her mom and dad, Kris or one of the teachers will reach out. I've seen all staff reach out to the kids. They encompass empathy and I really appreciate that more than anything. There's an indoor playground and outdoor playground - something so many other centers don't have. When it gets cold out, I've observed daycare centers where the kids are cooped up in a room and get hyper and miserable. At Merryhill, they can play in the indoor playground when the weather is bad. Another advantage of this school is their hours. When Merryhill says they're open until 6:30pm, they really mean it. Late in the day, when other schools are cleaning up and closing down classrooms at 3:30 and 4:00 pm, Merryhill is thriving. Kids fill the classrooms. Kris may have a few of them up front working on projects or coloring, others at the playground. Music will be playing. It's nice not to have to worry about my kids sitting around in a classroom, bored, because everyone's too busy trying to clear out early and make it out the door. I wrote this review because I know there's a lot of parents out there looking for the right daycare. I think in general, when people are happy or content with a situation, they can forget to mention that good fortune. We only hear from the ones that have a complaint. Merryhill and all the people who work there make it an incredible place for a kid to spend a day. Both of my girls love it. They come home happy. My oldest is now in Kindergarten and she's way ahead of her game, too smart for her own good at times. I think learning and education come naturally when kids are happy. Merryhill seems to cover the gamut and this is coming from a parent who spent numerous hours researching and visiting childcare centers all over Denver and Douglas counties. Both of my boys attended Children's Choice - my older boy is now 8 and we enrolled him at age 2 and my youngest now 5 began as an infant and will graduate from the preschool tomorrow. I am very grateful to have had such a wonderful place to send my children to for a large part of their lives. My kids always wanted to go to "school" and sometimes at the end of the day did not want to go home. It was a blessing to know they felt loved and comfortable there as toddlers. There is a very loyal team of teachers on staff - some who have taught there for many years. The management is fabulous. I would highly recommend any nervous new moms and dads out there to give Children's Choice a try. They truly have been an extended part of our family the past 6 years. read more

Not impressed. I took my children out of there. Way too expensive for a bunch of underpaid 20 year olds to sit around and talk with each other or on their cell phones. I saw them take out one box of blocks and the entire class has to play with only that- obviously no education on how children learn and grow. I feel sorry for the kids that are stuck there. read more

Not worth for sending kids there, I got my kid out last month. Some teachers are too young to take care of kids. Not even sure it they are certified and as mentioned by another reviewer the so called teachers are mostly on phones when kids are out in play area. Better get hold of higher ups of Merry Hill Schools to look into this matter. read more
