Mesh Cafe is the perfect place to grab some coffee, work, catch up on some reading, chill in a spacious, fancy cafe, get some Wi-Fi, and find some respite when it's winter. Was looking for a coffee-shop while in Oslo to warm up in and glad we found Mesh. Their coffee was tasty. Plenty of good seating and tables. They had some heaters running. Internet was free and fast. Service was great - the guy manning the bar was from the UK. Fairly conversationally-quiet space as lots of people working on projects together. Would come back if ever in the area. read more

A business-casual cafe to chill out or meet clients. Most visitors are people who have a coworking space upstairs, or people having an informal meeting. You'll see people showing off their portfolio to someone else or giving their personal insights on social media and whatnot. The cafe serves very good wraps and cakes to support a good hangout - even though it is vegetarian-only, they are damn good vegetarian wraps. Smoothies are also good. Mesh is cool almost too cool and I'm pretty sure I'm not smart enough or successful enough to hang out there ha! But this place is to awesome not to come back too! I agree with the other reviews in Engelsk. This place could definitely be filled with Lululemon-clad housewives with expensive baby carriages and intentionally under-dressed computer programmer types in either Silicon Valley or Silicon Beach (i.e. Venice, CA). Fortunately, we are on vacation in Oslo, so neither of these stereotypes were present when visiting Mesh Cafè this morning. The seating options are abundant and could accommodate large groups or a lone coffee shop denizen working on their next screen play, start up idea, or kickstarter campaign. The acai bowl was as good as many I've tried in SoCal. Their tea options are limited (Earl Grey is the closest you can get to plain black tea). I'm not into coffee. The server was very nice and tolerant of our non-Norsk, clumsy American questions. read more

Was at the MeshMakers Party yesterday and it was pretty great :) There were some really cool talks about cool products/apps (Sugru and HowDo), as well as a general talk about MeshMakers. There were also some free cookies, beer and lollipops (and I have to say I didn't have one of those for quite some years, which made it feel even nicer). Lots of nice people too (including some fellow Yelpers) and lots of people interested in entrepreneurship (in which I'm also really interested at the moment), as this is a community for entrepreneurs. Can't give it 5 starts for two reasons: The community is still young and from what I got, the space is still not finished (we got a guided tour to the place, which was pretty nice too), so I'm sure they'll be able to do better soon. People left the place a bit too soon, which was a bit disappointing I must say, as I was really enjoying the party/ visit. So please don't let my 4 starts review pull you away from Mesh, cause it's a fantastic community and I definitely intend to go back there for their next events :) read more

I really liked this place on my first visit. I've found my haven for some great food, good service and a nice ambiance (with lots of seating!) I would actually give this place a 4.5 stars rather than a 5 and the only reason why is because of the flies that were harassing me and my food. I feel like I would have to come here much more often to update my review but as of right now, I recommend this place for awesome food, good vibes and solid internet! read more

Came here for lunch one day, had a salad of the day (something with alfalfa in it). I was still very hungry afterwards... the portions are way too small. I agree with the others that it's a cool place, just don't come here to eat a meal. Coffee was okay too, not amazing. read more

Wandering around trying to find something not too expensive for lunch (not easy in Norway, of course), and happened upon this place. We got "the meat" (BBQ pork) and special, "devil's falafel" (falafel salad), and were so pleased with how tasty it was. HIGHLY recommend (avg $14 per meal). read more
