It was winter so I didn't expect green grass but the course was in rough shape. Our shoes were covered with goat heads...tiny little sharp stickers. Luckily we golfed the second held of the course first because we wanted to use the restroom and the one in the clubhouse was out of order and there was one near hole number 5. When we got to hole number one we had to go across the road to get to it. I think it was whole number 3 had us actually hitting across the road. They did provide pull carts but there was some steep terrain to get to some of the tee boxes. Price was right and we could golf all day if we wanted. There weren't a lot of options in the area for golf in this particular day. If you feel like an adventure, give it a try! I'm giving it two stars because it was priced right and the guy in the clubhouse was friendly.

This made this hunt special for him on several levels. Plus they offered a tour of the Taxidermy shop that will be doing some work for us. The taxidermist does some super work. Its this kind of personal interaction between the staff and guests that makes the Texas Divide ranch a very special place. I read it in previous reviews, skeptical of the cliche, but Texas Divide truly treats you like family. Judy and Lisa prepared amazing meals, guides Jeff, Toby, Zack, and Caleb took the 4 of us out and devoted all their time and energy into giving us the greatest hunting experience, far exceeding all of our expectations.
