Here's why: The search: We spent 4-5 months looking for the right place during a time of very low inventory. During that time, Curt was consistent about choosing ideal homes for use, or responding to something that we liked on "the list." It's not unusual to have an agent tire or get hasty about this long-winded process, but Curt was honest: He'd tell us if a home didn't have "good bones," or if there was something off, even if we hadn't noticed it. He attended to all our requests in a wonderful manner, even if after a long day, we wanted to go back and look at property #1 again! The Offer: Well, there were multiple of those. But Curt was cautious, conscientious, and strong when he had to be throughout the bidding and countering process. We never felt compelled or uncomfortable, (he tended to short sales, counteroffers, etc) and I believe that it paid off. Escrow: This was my favorite part. Curt represented us dutifully during inspections (he was there!), and kept us in the loop during every single strategic move or transaction that took place. Did I mention he also introduced us to a mortgage broker who got us through escrow in three weeks, low rate in tact? Post Move-In: To this day (it's been 1.5 months), Curt Toyer follows up on us, asking how we're doing in our new home - he even offered and took the time to walk me through the necessary steps to turn my first property into a rental (contracts, lease agreements, screening, etc.)! In his office, no less! It's the little things that Curt did that assure that he's got a customer for life.

His experience was incredibly helpful because he'd often know a property or building from having worked with a nearby client before. If he saw any red flags, he'd let me know, just as he did when he thought a property was going to go quickly. I had a ton of questions and he was incredibly patient with each and every one. When we found "the one," he wisely counseled me through the process and timing of writing the offer and then making a counter to the seller. At every turn he'd give me his thoughts, but always supported what I wanted to do. When things did start to get a little nuts right at closing, he stepped in with the escrow company to make sure everything got done. Some of the initial lenders would make the initial contact and then drop us off their radar and from the others we would simply not hear back from them. After some online searches I found Anita and her team. I submitted an inquiry and Anita quickly reached back out to me, ensured that her team would take care of us and let me know that I could call her or her team with any questions or concerns we might have. I immediately realized that her team would be the lender that would get us ready for our home search. We began the underwriting process and their dashboard made it extremely easy to upload and sign documents. Very user friendly!
