I would have loved slightly more expanded food tour; the items like the focaccia, cheese plate, gelato, and basically a calzone (orecheitte?) were all delightful, but on the first stop seeing all those pulpo sandwiches that weren't a part of the tour was slightly disappointing. I guess I should have just bought one to try it because they looked that damn good. The English-speaking + getting a feel of Old Bari throughout the tour was perfect. First of all out our tour guide-ss Frederica started the tour out on a fantastic note. She has incredible energy and knowledge about Bari, which a contagious happy attitude which was helpful since my group of friends and I were short on time to catch out train back to Rome, she assured us we had enough time and directed us with the correct walking distances. They have a brick and mortar meeting place where the tour starts which is awesome. The tour was a gorgeous, well thought out mix of food, culture and history with food included in the ticket price. I would do this same tour but next time not put the time constraint of catching a train so that I could enjoy and go back to the spots that interested me! I would not hesitate to book another tour with this company and will be recommending to all friends. I hope to catch them elsewhere in the world as well!

Free shuttle to and from Bari airport. Free parking, free robust breakfast (self served buffet style). Room size are decent. Perfect for two closed friends or friends with benefits or couples, small fridge in the room, adequate shower pressure, close proximity to BRI (airport) late check out till 1PM Cons: bed was extremely hard. Surprisingly, I sleep like I had no bills on it. TV screen is barely 24 inches. I had a larger tv screen on my Emirates flight Overall if those minor things don't bother you. Our Taxi Driver, Cristian Ranieri drives primarily in Bari Italy and vicinity…read more We decided late in the morning that we wanted to see the tiny conical, beehive-shaped huts called Trulli in Alberobello. He picked us up at our cruise ship terminal and drove some 65km to see them. He waited ninety minutes for us and then drove us back to Bari. With the help of our Viking representative, we negotiated a €140 fare and gave him a €30 Tip at the end of our journey. The Trulli huts at Alberobello's are considered the most extensive and best preserved UNESCO World Heritage Site (see photos). You will be amazed to see how the locals have converted these spaces into cafés, shops and stylish homes. Ohhh, and into tourist shops, too. LOL So how good was Cristian? At one point it started raining and I gave our one umbrella to my wife and companion. He then came back and found me with a huge golf umbrella, to walk me back to his VW Atlas cab. Nice! The room was clean and had a beautiful view of the sea. I took one star off because the room was a bit hot. The air never seem to completely cool.
