Let's start with the prepared foods counter, which consists of a number of warming trays for hot items, a counter with a stack of steamers for dim sums, and the typical chinese BBQ display window, with the hanging, reddish-hewed ducks and pork sides. My husband and I have found some of their take out foods to be on the bland side, but the BBQ and the bakery items are total winners. My daughter loves to get a take-out combo tray of BBQ pork (char sui) and roasted pork belly for her workday lunches. We also love to take the BBQ pork buns camping or on road trips. They make a very tasty, clean, hand-held snack. I've also tried their dim sum, and it was very good, for dim sum prepared and then held warm for a while. Their Youtiao (fried dough sticks), shao mai and har gao are always great. They've recently introduced stuffed tofu to the dim sum counter, and I will have to give that a try. The meats, from both the Halal and Non-Halal counters are excellent. The have very competitively priced meat that it always fresh. Pacific also has some great weekly specials, many from their seafood counter. Once, I bought snapper for a fraction of what it would cost in a mainstream grocery store. I've had their lobsters and crabs too: all excellent. Now, moving to the produce aisles, you will find a vast assortment of exotic fruits (what else should I call them? are Dragonfruits and Mangosteen exotic??? Or am I indulging in Orientalism). This section of the store smells beautiful, fragrant with ripe fruit. The produce aisles also boast a copious selection of Chinese greens, such as Yu Cai and Snow Pea Tips, which the regular grocery stores do not carry. Finally, the dry goods aisles offer many good deals on all sorts of things, and is a great source for all the chinese and japanese sauces that you could ever wish for. It's such a pleasure to have this wonderful supermarket so close to home!

You'll find most of what you might be looking for, but I feel like they don't carry a lot of the popular brands that we're looking for. I think they support really a wide variety of Asian necessities, so it's more geared for variety. If I want something in particular, I pretty much never find it here, or I find a weird brand I haven't tried. It's a really clean store and well organized. Staff are super friendly. The hot food table has a few options, plus there's a sushi stand, but I think the food is just so-so. We've not quite enjoyed the quality there, but I think it's fair to say that most of these types of eateries are not the best. They make everything in a large batch, and while some flavours hint at authenticity, the quality is quite meh. Again, great place to go for your basic necessities and pricing is fair.

Immediately entering I already felt that the supermarket was very clean. They had a large variety of produce products, all at a very fair price. They cater to not only to the Asian demographic but also other ethnicities as well which is a bonus if you're trying to find a one stop shop! Love that they also have a cooked food counter that is self serve. Didn't get to try it but all the food dishes looked tasty and there were a lot of people scooping their own food for purchase. Bulk Barn puts every bulk situation in the United States to shame! Bulk Barn, its super clean stores and huge selection of products, is yet another reason to envy Canada. From sugars, spices and snacks like peanut butter cup popcorn and spicy plantain chips to chickpea flour, ground chia seeds and pea protein powder this place has everything! And unlike most every bulk selection I've spied, there's no cracked greenwheat freekeh mixed in with the organic kamut flakes, or black beluga lentils crunching, annoyingly, underfoot. For example , I saw Lindor packs for $4. There's are normally at least $5-$6. Saw fancy almond milk for like $2. The only drawback is a lot of stuff is close to or already expired so you gotta be careful . I say it's not our cup of tea simply because we tend to stock up / get too excited and buy a lot so expired/ close to expiring snacks is a no go . I was lucky to find these two steals and the expiration on each were at least close to half a year ! Camino bar was as only $1 :O and hairbo was only $1.55. I was mesmerized by the bakery section. I wanted every single cake, but I looked at the custard tarts and got them instead. The croissants looked so fresh and yummy. If I could live in this section, I would. I would also end up being too large to get out of the store. I bought these frozen brussel sprouts that come with butter sauce. I haven't tried them, but it sounded good to me. As with Longo's, the produce is exceptionally fresh and beautifully arranged. It's like going into an arboretum, but without paying for any admission fee. I got my pack of bacon. This place has sodium-reduced bacon, which made me so happy. It was also on sale for $4.99. The hot foods section smelled so good. I stood there for a minute looking at everything and wanted to eat, even though I just did. I had a cheerful, pretty pregnant cashier check me out. She was so polite and nice. I swiped my rewards card. I am close to getting a discount, but it does take a while to get there. This grocery store has an elevator to the top floor, where there are more places to sit down and eat. There is a Starbucks on the main floor, and an area to sit down and relax, too. I walk into this store (very dirty, sometimes clean, but no mostly dirty in at least the winter I tell you!) and I hunt for this monkey jungle fruit. I locate it, and people are starting to pay attention, I AM ONE of them! And now I am paying attention to the bananas in front of me, looking to buy! Guess what? No peels! Love these guys.
