Now usually when recruitment agencies call you up they just want to get you on the books and a lot of the time you wont hear from them again. But Adecco were great, I literally went in did a quick computer test and they sent me on my way to my new temp job which i started the next day. The only think I found annoying was that you had to fax your time sheet instead of emailing it but maybe that has changed now. Highly recommended if you are looking for a job.

I kid. although I did get in touch with a man called Dan, and from day one he showed me the clarity and commitment which characterised all of our other meetings. He invited me in thoroughly go through the position with me and left no stone un-turned. He was very attentive to my requirements and gave me the impression of genuine interest; I have had other experiences of consultants who talked more than they listened - a 20 minute un-interrupted speech, in fact - but this wasn't the case at Nu Creative. Unfortunately, I didn't get the job, but Dan's level of interest and care remained the same; we went over feedback and identified ways of better approaching future interviews. He asked me to keep in contact and let him know how I was progressing - and here I am at Yelp :) Having Dan felt more like having a mentor, rather than a recruitment consultant, and I am truly thankful that I met him. If the other consultants at Nu Creative are anything like him - this is probably the best agency I've ever come across. Notes: Nu Creative Talent mainly deal with media positions, so positions like the sales one I went for might be a rarity. Their office is beautiful, open plan, filled with Macs and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Also, the website is fresh-to-death.

Awful- Liars who who will do anything just to fish for information about previous employers. I was…read morelied to to get an interview, they said they had a job for me, but they did not. I asked not once, not twice, but four times if they had a job spec for me, they lied and said yes. They then tried to seriously low ball me and harass me over my high salary, and asked why so high. They tried to get me to go for a job at HALF my salary. Maybe that is why they are called Robert Half! Then they kept trying to pump me for information, such as the names of the Heads of HR at all of the places I have worked. These people are the cretins of recruitment and give the industry a bad name. Skip skip skip

I was literally given a pyramid structure to fill out names. They only call and meet with you for information and have no actual jobs to offer. I found out they called my previous boss to proposition him for open jobs. They say they need your boss's name for a reference but they just want to call them for open vacancies. Beware of this place like the plague.
