I am leaving a review for Dr.Sood and Metro Pain Centers.And the other members of the team! I have been a patient of his for 3 years or so.For a chronic back pain issues. I can't say enough about everyone in the Clifton Office. First, I would like to say that the ladies at the front desk are so important to mention.They are so consistent with their professionalism and ease when it comes to scheduling and answering any insurance questions.Every single one of them will greet you with a hello and have a nice day! (For Real) Second,It is so efficient when it comes to scheduling and time management.I have never waited in the waiting area for more than 10 minutes.The waiting area is very inviting,not jammed up or dirty or smelly. Very clean,with a eye for every holiday or season. Now Dr.Sood and his team are there to provide you with the best care possible,they do not treat you like a drug addict if you are on a pain Mgmt program,which is very important,I have had doctors treat me like this and it sucks. Dr.Sood has done 3 Injections on me for the pain,The process is Top Notch,the facilities where he does them are amazing.It is a easy process. No hospitals involved! Trust me,you will not find a better facility than Dr.Sood and the Metro Pain Centers facilities. I would give them 10 stars if I could !! These days alot offices miss the big picture,which is care and ease for the patient,working to help the patient to have a better everyday life. They do that the best they can. You Have a name here not a number or what type of insurance do you have and all that other bullshit! I have been seeing Dr Sood over the years with mixed results. But recently he got annoyed that I went to a real SURGEON for a second opinion (isn't that MY right!). He then asked to see all of my recent reports (Xray, MRI, procedures) which I produced ASAP along with my chiropractor who has access to the other doctor's portal. Dr Sood promised to follow up with a call a few days later. That day passed, so I left another and a THIRD message for the staff to text him that I was waiting for his call; they gave me yet a second and third tele- appointment to go over the reports, resulting in nothing but radio silence. Today I emailed their "referral dept" to complain but no one seems to know what they are doing vis a vis communications between patients and the Dr. I assume two things; 1- he is pissed that I went over his head 2- and/or doesn't know HOW TO DO the alternate procedure the other doctor recommended. goodbye to a sad ending of giving him years of my business. I have since found a new Dr who is on top of things. Sort of crazy that one has to jump through so many hoops (3 doctors) to get proper care. read more

Dr Shah has been my pain management doctor the last few years . I have had chronic pain over 17 years but was never seeing a pain doctor until now. My pain was taking its toll on my family and myself . RUN, do not walk away from Dr. Patel. She spends her appointments crying. About her divorce and taking calls from her children. She will attempt to convince you that she is interested in your condition. DO NOT BELIEVE HER, especially if you are Hispanic, or married to a Hispanic. If any tests do not come out accordioning to her pre=conceived notion, she will no longer treat you with medication that you need. She will openly accuse you of selling drugs on the street. I suffer from a very, very painful disease called RSD. Because my urine test did not show a urine test with strong enough drugs, she will not prescribe my medication. I explained to her as a responsible driver, I DO NOT take drugs that effect my ability to drive. I would never endanger another innocent person!! She had left me in excruciating and constant pain. Her reason, YOU R NOT TAKINF ENOUGH OF THE PAIN MEDICINE! FIND A EMPATHITIC RESPONSIBEL and decent pain management clinic other that this one. Went and saw Dr. Patel on 3/2/22 in the Clifton NJ office as I called the day before and was able to get right in. That was impressive. They did a US on my legs and immediately determined I was a good candidate for the ablation procedure on both of my legs. Told me they needed to get it approved with insurance and should take about a week or 2. I kept calling many times and left 3 voicemails as no one was answering the phone. I paid a $70 copay and they did bill my insurance, but even to this day (3 months later) I haven't heard anything back from them. I believe they are a scam. Be warned!! read more

I was referred to Dr. Sood through another MD and boy am I glad I met him! Dr. Sood and Dr. Shah are very concise and knowledgable and have helped me and my wife live pain free without the need for oral medication. Honestly, I'm disappointed. Every time I left his office I left feeling like I wasted my time and nothing could be done for me and I was just a lost cause. First thing first I specifically asked for my files to be kept just for his eyes and he went and showed his wife without my consent. Second he brings me in and then asks me questions from my surgeon. I'm not there for anything else but pain management and after the whole time I got no help. No pain medicine, nothing to alleviate my pain or help me in anyway. I left empty handed and absolutely disappointed. I won't be coming again nor recommending to anyone. read more

Worst experience I've ever had with a Doctor!!! My husband and I have been searching for new pain managment Dr's and went to Dr Sood for a consultation. My visit with the doctor consisted of listening to him talk about himself for roughly 40 minutes. At the conclusion of our consultation he asked me if he had permission to contact my previvious Dr.? He said that he was confused about the previous Dr"s treatment plan and had some questions, and wanted to speak with him before making a commitment. Although I was a bit confused about what that would have to do with Dr Soods treatment plan going forward, I gave him full permission to call. I was told that he would call the Dr and be back in touch with me by the weeks end. Well the end of the week came and guess what...no call! I left messages with the office and never heard back. The following week came and I left roughly 3 more messages with still nothing. I asked the receptionist if she could leave a message to have the Dr call me so I could speak to him directly and guess what...STILL NOTHING!! In my consultation the doctor told me he prided himself on being a "straight shooter" (his words) and that he is an extremely candid doctor. He was also aware of my current medical situation and its time sensitivity, and he assured me that he would do everything possible to expedite the process so that we weren't "dragging anything out". Lies!! A whole week went by and I was never even given the courtesy of a follow up phone call. Dr Sood is NOT a man of his word as promised. He issues false promises and a lot of hot air. I was never even given any diagnosis in my consultation. The doctor was more concerned about speaking to another doctor, rather then reviewing the stacks of MRIs, Office notes and other paperwork I brought for him to review. The hour I spent in his office was unremarkable and it resulted in no diagnosis, treatment plan or even follow up phone call. Luckily I was able to find another doctor Close by. They saw me quickly, reviewed my information and were able to take me on as a patient. It is amazing the difference between a professional doctor and A not so professional doctor. I warn you PLEASE- if you or any of your love ones are in need of pain management care, steer very clear of Metro pain center. save yourself the time, energy and a headache and stay away from this office! They are not interested in you as a patient just your co-pay. read more

Thank you, Dr. Sanchin Shah for giving me back quality of life. Dr. Shah is an excellent physician who cares greatly about his patients needs. He has treated me for back issues as well as varicose vein issues. I had previous treatments for my back pain, but it was only with Dr. Shah's expertise and treatment, that I found total relief.
