This was my first experience with physical therapy.I was seen after my car accident for my shoulder. I ended up having labrum tear repair surgery. I worked with Alex and Frank. They are very professional but also very personable and made me feel comfortable! I am fully recovered. These guys are great! I also wanted to give Lauren a shout out! I've been a patient of Metro Rocky Point for various surgeries over the years. This past July I had major back surgery and there was no question where I was going for treatment. The staff may have changed, but the care, understanding, empathy and compassion hasnt. I was extremely overjoyed to find out that Rich Cambria was going to be my therapist. Sean McDonald is one of the PTAs here and is always smiling. I walk in and get personal attention. Even if he has 3 other patients, he makes sure I am comfortable and have what I need. Frank took into consideration what her sport was and you could just tell he had a plan right from the start...after my daughter re-injured the same ankle, Frank took a step back, re-evaluated her, and once again had a plan in place and knew WE had a goal of getting to the last tournament of the season, but was honest and cautioned us that it may not happen. Mr. Nick Barrios has provided the best care, along with being the sweetest most kindest person. Words cannot describe how happy I am to discover metro physical therapy in rocky point! New to the area so I did not know where to go. Reviews lead me to them. I started my physical therapy in March right before Covid lock downs started. Since day one did I never feel unsafe due to the pandemic. Sean at the front desk made sure everyone kept a safe distance and not once did I ever see a staff member remove their mask. Mike has been my therapist from the start and I highly recommend him. He takes his time to figure out the best care plan for you. He has the best personality which is a plus!! Very welcoming and knowledgeable. Sean at the front desk is also the best!! First of all my appointment was at 8:20 they didn't take me till 850. Every physical therapy place I've have been to has taken me immediately, and there is always One physical therapist working on one person. They had a bunch of people there but it seem like they're only two physical therapist working on six people and everyone else was standing around. I had three people working on me. The main person worked on me for a little bit and two other people came over to help me. It was very unorganized. My physical therapist says to me whatever you wanna do we can do. No that's not the way it works, your my physical therapist you have a prescription follow the prescription. read more

Referred by an excellent pain management specialist, Dr. Vaillancourt, we drove out to Rocky Point. "Aqua physical therapy" he said. It would be good for us. And he was right. A robust team of professionals continue to meet us with smiles. My folks are elderly so regular weighted exercises can be challenging. After being stretched out they enter a cozy pool. A team of physical therapists work incredibly well together to seamlessly share responsibility. (If my parents could have another kid, they'd kidnap Garry.) The exercises are customized to ability, challenging and fun. There's a lively atmosphere here. Big thumbs up! read more

My husband and myself normally go to the Port Jeff office but they had no appointments today so I went with him to the Rocky Point office. He's very annoyed at the therapist that took care of him. After treating him for five minutes he walked away to take care of another person. Who leaves a patient laying on the table to take care of another patient? I also noted the place was too busy, and it appeared as though therapists were dealing with more than one patient at a time. I came into physical therapy due to a dislocated knee, I never understood physical therapy before as I never had a good experience at an office, but metro was really great. I started out seeing rich 3 times a week, then I started to see nick as nick had more availability, Nick was overall awesome and helped me through so many set backs along with personally life and advice. He pushed me to do the exercises I hated, he helped me with my form and helped me get back into the gym. Nick grew on me like a big brother and I felt happy to climb out of the rut I was in as he pushed me and gave me motivation and plenty of advice. He was really professional as well and compromised with me a bunch. overall I feel that Metro has really good therapists and everyone's professional, I also feel as it's good for young adults like myself. The atmosphere in Metro is great and uplifting. The "aides" are really helpful as well, considering the scheduling would overlap and they would show you exercises. I really like Anna, Victoria, Esther,Matt, pat, and ofc Lorenzo. Most of the aides are younger and in college, so I felt really comfortable working with them. Although I would love to do aquatic therapy if I ever find myself injured again. The way the Rocky Point office is run is great and really pretty decorated for the holiday season, Rich runs the office and I think him and his camo print Saturdays are doing a pretty good job. Rich is a good therapist as well, as is Frank. I remember pulling into the parking lot once in the middle of October and Frank was running around playing football outside with a little boy who hurt his ankle. That really shows how accommodating they really are to their clients and tend to different needs. Will be back, hopefully not too soon though! read more

I started because i broke my ankle but i had two hip replacements and Iended up getting tendentious in my right hip which is the same side I broke my ankle.
