I was skeptical, but Shaheedra, my therapist, made all of the inhibitions diminish instantly. She was AMAZING! I wish I could say the same for management (specifically Aisha Holman). Although she is the business owner, she has exhibited some skeptical billing practices...to the point of being unethical and illegal. If you are a client, please keep a watchful eye on your billing. My therapist can attest, I paid my copay after each session to keep my balance at $0. My bank account was charged an unauthorized payment of almost $700. After inquiring with my insurance company, Aisha processed insurance claims and charged me full price after accepting my copays for several dates of service. She eventually responded on the portal stating I signed a form expressing I had insurance but wanted to be charged as a self-pay client. She also said I signed a consent form for the practice to charge my card without further authorization. How ridiculous does that sound? I signed no such form. Aisha refused to process the claim through my insurance and refund the payment. I have repeatedly requested a call, a copy of the signed form, and a refund. She does not respond. There were other fraudulent instances, but I can't go into details as this may be pending litigation. I have since reported this practice to the proper regulating board. If you are considering this business, I suggest you rethink it. I know other clients have been affected as I have spoken to at least one other. Please report any questionable activity. She has to stop taking advantage of clients seeking therapy!

The groups are wonderful, and you will learn so much that helps you in the outside world and in everyday life. If there is one thing I want people to know, it's that the staff, program aides, and case managers truly care. They make you feel safe and are very easy to talk to. One of the aides, Lasey, goes above and beyond. She doesn't leave until she knows you're okay and consistently checks on you. She has a calming presence and helps clients who are really struggling find peace and comfort. Can't say enough about Ms. Kara is the person who runs the show. She may sit at the front desk, but she will also become one of your biggest advocates. When she tells you she cares about you or says, "I got you," she truly means it. She wants you to succeed and move forward into a better life. I remember showing up one day, and she told me how pretty I looked and that she was proud of me. She was proud of me and then wrapped me in one of her giant Kara hugs. Even though I mentioned two people specifically, all of the staff are caring and supportive. They won't let you feel sorry for yourself, but they will help you recognize the direction you need to go and encourage you every step of the way. This place and its staff truly helped save me from my depression. Ms. Kara says this isn't your first home, but your second home, and that really reflects how they make you feel. They also offer TMS, and for me it has been a complete game changer. If you are considering getting help for yourself or a loved one, make the call and take that step. I can't fully express what this place has meant to me. Even my family felt encouraged and reassured when they had to leave me there, knowing I was in caring hands.

She gave me counsel, hope, and honestly a reality check when I needed it. I can't even express the impact she had on my treatment and overall life. Without Kara's presence I probably would have just allowed myself to be a lost patient. It was hard to felt seen or that my needs were being met-- but NO matter what Kara was there for me. She changed my view of treatment and the support I needed. She supported me through it all... and with her support I got linked up with Lena, a case manager who truly changed my life. Lena saw me, helped me see myself, and taught me how to love my brain. I'm not sure where I would be without her....and I would have left without Kara before meeting Lena. Kara is literally an angel, she helped me open up my eyes to the help and support I needed. I can't say thank you enough to Kara and Lena!! Also Shirley and Lacey were nothing but amazing. Every Solstice staff member truly cared about the patients. Working in this field has to be incredibly difficult, but the whole staff cared about everyone. Also-- Rachel from the California location is an ANGEL. I can't say enough about Kara, Rachel, Lena, Shirley, and Lacey!! Kara and Lena though, saved me. These were the stage members I worked with the most-- others were nothing but great but didn't work with others often enough to discuss.
