Many songs are Freedom Church originals (I Finally Get It, had me in tears). The smiling and welcoming spirits of the Freedom Church family says a lot. Think about it. We attend church on Sunday after a work-filled week, sometimes great and sometimes quite trying. So, to see a family of smiles even when many are coming to be spiritually rejuvenated speaks volumes about the strong presence of God in this place. I am not a member of…read moreWhite's Chapel Methodist Church, but I did have the opportunity to attend their Christmas Eve service while visiting my family in Southlake, which was absolutely beautiful and very well organized. We arrived around 5:15 for the 5:30 service, which you think would be plenty of time to grab a seat in the main sanctuary. We were mistaken ... but were helpfully directed toward the overflow seating area across the hall. Every greeter and usher we encountered had a smile on their faces, along with the necessary information to get us to our seats quickly and kindly. The overflow seating is located in what seems to be a multi-purpose room, which has a large projector to live stream the service. These live streams sometimes sacrifice quality, but that was not the case at White's Chapel. The audio and visuals were crisp and clear, to the point where it was like we were actually there in the main sanctuary. The music was incredible, and the message was clear and easy-to-understand for long-time churchgoers and first-timers alike. If you're in search of a new church home in the Southlake area, White's Chapel is definitely worth checking out.
