Very average museum. Not very engaging, with random historical items scattered about and endless walls of text. The Mexican History wing is all Spanish. The Northern Mexico wing (newer) has English translations.
There was no focus on historical or heroic figures. Both wings contains the same basic text. A lot of passive voice. Essentially a lot of "this happened" without any *WHY* it happened or the cultural driving forces behind the history. Quite dry. No special exhibits. Each showcase was independent and didn't tie into adjacent showcases.
40 pesos / adult. American Express accepted. Parking complimentary for first 2 hours, then 20 peso / hr after that.
Not ideal for young children, would not prioritize or recommend to visitors. If you want a proper Mexican history museum go to Mexico City read more
