We live Mexican inn and the food ,chips,tortillas are so yum!!We received very good service from Jordan!

This was my 2nd time to eat at a Mexican Inn. Stopped at the Keller location for a mid-week lunch. Hostess was nice and seated me promptly, but that's where the positives seemed to stop. After being seated, I waited a few minutes and finally got some chips and salsa. I can't decide whether I like the frito shaped corn chips or not. The salsa is good, but could use more spice. Chips are extremely greasy. They're not bad, but they're so dense you have to be careful not to chip a tooth eating them. What annoyed me is after getting my chips & salsa, I waited probably 7-10 minutes to even be acknowledged by my waitress. She came by right as I was about to get up and complain to the hostess. I ordered the fajita chicken #9 lunch quesadilla. Quesadilla was well cooked and came with a good portion size and good amount of sour cream and guacamole. I liked that the sour cream was chilled versus being runny like other places. Overall, the food was fine, but the service will likely prevent me from coming back. There are just so many tex-mex options in the area that there's no excuse for bad experiences. read more

Can't understand how this could be a chain! Service was horrible. Waitress was not even interested in taking my drink order. Failed to get both kids meals correct. Then, took their plates away to correct their mistake while my wife and I ate. Why not leave the kids something to munch on while you fix your screw up? Wife's meal came with clumpy cheese. Brisket in the tacos was tough and chewy. Chips with the salsa were basically Fritos with more grease. Stay away! So many better options than this! read more

I ordered a small queso and salsa to go. Naturally I assumed chips would accompany it, but apparently you must order chips as an extra item. Just so others are aware, ask for chips if you need them. The food is always good; customer service could have been more informed over all. read more

Bottom line: There are so many excellent Mexican food places in the area. This is not one of them. The good: the hostess gave us a warm welcome. The patio area is a nice place for lunch on a sunny afternoon. It also appears to be a clean establishment. The bad: the chips are a greasy version of the Fritos you buy out of the grocery store. Sadly the salsa to dip the Fritos in is like a thick version of v-8 juice with some peppers thrown in, yet still tastes like tomato sauce. The beans, are a nice consistency but very bland. The ugly: the meat in both of our tacos had a funny aftertaste. My sweetheart couldn't eat his food. I got through 1/2 of my chicken taco and decided to call it quits. We won't be back. read more

I've never came to this restaurant and received better than average service. It's always below a decent standard. Actually , my last visit made my decision to never come back. Service was good, but the food was only just ok, but it was all served cold. Even the tortillas were cool. The hot sauce must have come out of the fridge. Overpriced for the amount of food on the plate. Mexican food should be served hot...like be careful the plate is hot...not at here. Save your money and time and go somewhere else. read more

Horrible service!!! We've been here for 30 minutes and no water! We were seated by Brandon, the bus boy. 7-Mins the bus boy came back with chips and salsa-- no water. 10-mins later he came back and said did you guys want water too!?!? I asked for the waiter he said, there not one available. I asked for the manager and Brandon sent over a waitress. Clueless, she asked how she could help. I asked for the manager. I was introduced to Yessi, the manager and she explained her short staffed situation. I appreciated her candor but was on a 2-hour lunch break and just wanted to dine in a timely fashion and pay for lunch. When it didn't happen - my party and I left and went directly down Keller Parkway to ROYS!!! Roy's has excellent customer service at door! Thanks Mexican Inn for introducing me to ROYS. read more

This particular Mexican Inn has a new manager who is awesome! She has implemented changes in staff performance and made small changes to the recipes that make all the difference! We had stopped going there for months because the food just wasn't as good as it had been. But recently we decided to give it another try and so glad we did. . . . This visit was a trip through Hell. First, they asked us to wait 20-30 minutes - with nowhere inside to sit. They promised to phone to our car when ready. My wife and I entertained ourselves, but after forty minutes I checked in. They'd crossed us off!!! Promising to make it up to us, we decided to try it. We sat there with hot as hell salsa and no water until someone finally came by! They've changed what once was a prime attraction to the restaurant - their chips. Why change something that works??? Finally, we ordered and received our food. Skimpy doesn't adequately describe how tiny the portions were! $13 for two small tacos and a ton of lettuce!! My fajita combo held precisely two small slices each of beef and chicken plus tons of veggies. My wife's meal was inedible! Her queso had the consistency of old Elmer's glue - and tasted as blandly. Mediocre tex-mex. Their claims to fame are their fresh homemade corn tortillas and their fresh made corn chips. Surprisingly, the fresh corn tortillas were NOT good, but they also make homemade FLOUR tortillas, which were very good! The fresh corn chips served with salsa are pretty good, but only if you like Frito's. The salsa tasted like it came from a jar... Not great. The worst disappointment was the FLAN. I've never seen a COLORLESS flan!! It had absolutely NO carmelization on top or of the sugary syrup that accompanies the egg custard! Weird. I spoke to the manager... He didn't seem alarmed, so I guess this is their Normal. Too many REALLY good tex-mex places to be coming back here again. Oh well... read more

Bland Mexican food for white people. Spaghetti sauce with a couple of peppers is your salsa. Fresh but no zing. Velveeta with peppers and tomatoes (and some kind of powder mix) is the "queso". The tortilla soup was OK mixed with bleh and way too much celery (really any celery would be too much). Street Tacos were decent. Good brisket, good steak, bland chicken. Great tortillas. Fresh corn tortillas! And fresh corn tortilla chips! Those were awesome! And the Cadillac Margarita was also quite good. Service? Nothing to write home about, but not awful. What sucked was as we were finishing food a kitchen worker (with a man bun, which I will not hold against him) started blasting Gwen Stefani (this blank is bananas) so loud we could hear it over the other music playing in the rest of the restaurant. Even when a coworker noticed it was way too loud, he barely turned it down. I am guessing there were no managers around as we heard two competing music's the rest of the dinner. Too many good restaurants around (even close by) that have great Mexican food and service to ever go back. Too bad, because we liked the decor, the signs, the floors, the pictures. We had lunch here yesterday and it was great! Our server Carter was great, it's nice to see young people this hard working and attentive to customers! Welp just left. Sat at a booth for 12 minutes completely ignored by the wait staff. Thankfully the chips and salsa guy came and dropped off chips as soon as we sat down, but no one ever came for our drink order. There were 3 other tables sat plus a couple at the bar watching the game, so not being over looked for it being too busy. I showed up to pick up my family fajita meal and they had the wrong order, so I got to wait longer for the right order, it was a large order so I didn't check everything which I guess is my fault although you would hope the restaurant would get the order right (again). First time eating at this location. The beef soft tacos are now my favorite. Don't know if I could eat two of them with the beans and rice, but I would try. The staff was very nice and checked on us four times. GM even checked with us and asked if all was ok. read more

Service was good is the only reason I'm giving one star. The food was bland and tasteless. The salsa was bland mashed up tomatoes, no jalapeños, no cilantro, no onions, no garlic, pretty much nothing. The guacamole had no flavor, no onions, no tomatoes, no cilantro, no salt, no pepper, no jalapeños, it was nothing but mashed up avocados. I ordered the taco plate, the ground beef was extremely bland ZERO flavor. So I just ate the top half of the tacos with tomatoes, lettuce, and cheese. (Taco Casa makes better tacos.) The chips were horrible. The tasted like greasy, stale Fritos. I've been to Mexican Inn on Camp Bowie and the food was great. I believe they have become to commercialized, lost the mom and pop experience of a home cooked meal. I will never return! So disappointed! read more

Mexican food is our family favorite. We would eat it every meal if we could. Last year we would go to the restaurant on 377 in Keller in the middle of the day the service was horrible, the floors were always greasy it was just a terrible experience. We went a few weeks ago and then again last night. It was so crowded at 7:30 that we had to wait for a table. They have a new manager and she has made such a different. It was like we had walked into a new restaurant and none of the previous servers were there!! She has new staff and they have bought into the idea of making this place wonderful again. The food was good and despite being so busy we didn't have to wait on drinks or our food. We spoke to the manager to let her know the change in this place. We'll return over and over!!! Love this restaurant. It's history it's amazing. The food is out of this world. Our server Amanda was just the best. The place is packed and yet we got all the attention as if it was just the two of us. We did not have to wait long. The service is impressive. Everyone moves around like they are on skates. Went here for Dinner and ordered their Brisket Enchilada Dinner along with a Margarita. The Margarita and Brisket Enchilada Dinner were delicious. However, the cheese you can tell was processed. Now, I'm really picky when it comes to my cheese, and I can tell what quality cheese is. Unfortunately, the cheese, in my opinion, didn't pass. The Brisket, though, saved the meal. It was wonderful. Worst Mexican food I've ever had. I didn't even know you could mess up Mexican food until now. The chips are some kind of nasty heavy Fritos, the salsa tastes like a mashed up tomato, the drinks are weak, and the brisket enchiladas were fatty with cheese that had the consistency of peanut butter. The queso was the only decent thing here, but my wife hated that. Super gross. Stay away. read more

Jesus Christ have mercy on you if you show up on a Friday night. We waited and waited. Held up at the bar waiting for a call out which they said they would do. Even let them know we would be at the bar. Asked them to make a note next to our name. Blew it off as if they would have the voices of angels and I would hear them. Not once did I hear our name nor anyone else's. crowded front door entrance AFTER we arrived. Looked over. Empty. WTF. Asked about our table. They said they called our name. BS. We have come to this location at least once a week, but after our experience tonight NEVER again for me. When we showed up at 7:15 only one other group was in front of us, the blond pregnant hostess was not even at the hostess station. When she does come back up front after 10 minutes she never even acknowledged that we or the two other parties that were there just the two people that where there when we got there. Your other girl with short black hair then comes up and asks if any of us have been helped, when we all tell her the order that we arrived in; she says she doesn't want to get into that. She then proceeds to start setting people who are just now arriving. We had been standing there for over 15 minutes with multiple empty un-bussed tables available. First I understand this is a new location, however, that does not justify the rude behavior of the hostess. Overwhelmed or not, you don't treat people like they should blessed to be acknowledge by you. We are the customer you earn the respect of our business through good customer service. I have been eating at Mexican Inn in Fort Worth for 20 years. I was excited that you opened a location so close to my house. But when I drive over to the new location for "to go" chips, queso, salsa, and tortillas, and am told in a highly rude tone that you do not do to go orders, it is heart breaking. I will not dine at Mexican Inn in Fort Worth ever again. I know that may mean nothing coming from one person but I hope you pay attention. read more
