This place might be the ONLY mexican restaraunt in Lübeck, but still the service and food is better…read morethan average in Germany. On Fridays and Saturdays the place is usually crowded. Many people just come for the cocktails and nachos. Bolero is part of a Mexican restaurant chain in Germany, so the quality is high. The dishes are not too spicy and the music is not too loud. A good place to eat in Lübeck if you are in the "Old Town"

Our…read morewaitress was nice and advised us to sit anywhere in the front of the restaurant that wasn't already reserved. This was at 1700 on a Saturday night. We chose a table next to the bar, but the front door kept sticking and a chilling German wind in February does not make for a great dining experience. (All the tables away from the door were Reserved.) The food is actually pretty good. It's kind of a Mexican/Italian fusion. We went during happy hour and my two mixed drinks were delicious! But the bartender didn't speak a word to is the entire time we were there. The waitress was friendly but seemed to have too many tables to attend to since we had to wait for refills. Prices are ok, maybe a touch high (about what you'd pay for a steakhouse in America but without the steak) but overall it would be a great choice if they would fix that sticking door or if you can sit away from it.
