So I was working in the area and wanted some street tacos. Looked in Yelp and found Restarant Perez and saw that it had really good reviews. Walked in with my group and sat down at the back of the restaurant. I saw that the location only had 1 waitress, and she was running around to get everyone taken care of. She finally came by and asked what we wanted to drink. I asked for Agua Fresca Limon, but she said they didn't have any at the moment.. bummer. I checked the menu and didn't see street tacos on the menu. I asked her, and she said that they do have them, but just not in the menu. I ordered 3 tacos, 2 trompo, and 1 barbacoa. My coworker got a torta Cubana, and the other one got green sauce enchiladas. The order came out pretty quickly. I was pleased with the 3 tacos they were delicious, and the other guys liked their food. Also, the only comment that my coworker had was that he didn't really like the sausage that was in the torta. My tacos were great flavor was on point for the barbacoa, and the trompo was nice and toasty. Such a great spot to grab a quick bite. Breakfast ends at 12 and so ended up getting cocktail de camarón and it was delicious not too ketchupy like other places. the agua the melon was really good too. some people may see it as pricey but you get what you pay for and it's quality flavorful food here. read more

Little spot off Altamesa with cheap Mexican cuisine. Don't expect to walk into an elegant establishment, it is what it is! It's a small cozy spot with one friendly young lady running the front with a cook in the back. The service was prompt and I appreciate it. My go to is street tacos because I like to compare those to others in the area. I opted for the usual: one pollo, 2 asada, and one pork. Let's discuss... The tacos were big full tacos, I couldn't finish four which is a big deal for $6 bucks. I thought the meat was pretty dry though, yes even the pork. The sauce is something else to discuss... It was thick unlike normal verde and rojo sauce, and it smelled weird. I didn't even use it because it didn't sit well with my spirit to do so. Overall, the meal and service was decent for the price and I'll venture back to try something different to give them a fair chance, otherwise I'll stick to my favorite little taco truck. read more

This place is less than half a mile from home, so I had to try it out! My partner and I took his father there for lunch and it was awesome. The salsa is warm, which I love. We got the enchiladas rojas, lunch special of the day flautas, and a big as your head bowl of caldo. Everything came out looking great and tasted wonderful. Will be back! read more

Delicious! The best Mexican food I've had in a while! Great lunch spot! I love a good taco, and these were perfect. Corn tortillas, carnitas, onions, cilantro and red and green sauce that rate close to a 10! My hubs got the Torta which was huge and filled with meat and all the goods, including fresh avocado. The Chips and the warm salsa that came out before we ordered heated ups tastebuds just right. You know it's good Mexican food when you don't feel the spice as something painful, yet you walk away with clear sinuses. ;) read more

I ate here back in August and I forgot that I did until I was looking through pictures on my phone. It's nice to have another mexican restaurant a hop, skip, and a jump from my house. Used to be a chinese restaurant. Altamesa isn't exactly the nicest street, so I've been side eyeing this place for a while. They have breakfast, tacos, tortas, huaraches, fajitas, chile rellenos, and a little bit more. Menudo on the weekend. The hours on Yelp are not their actual hours. I can't remember what they were now since it was back in August I ate here. I do know they open at 7 am, two days they close at 3-4, and stay open until 9. Not helpful, I know. The inside is clean and simple. I had a huarache with beef. It was humongous. Had beans, cheese, avocado, cabbage, sour cream, and beef on it. When I get a craving for a huarache, I'd definitely come here. read more

We have eaten here several times since we moved to South Fort Worth. Food has always been consistently awesome. Portions are good size and priced well. Service here is always super friendly. Wow! I was shocked. What amazing Mexican food. I had the Tacos al Pastor (3) plus rice and beans plate. Very big tacos and some of the best rice and beans I've had in a while. The chips and salsa are reminiscent of what I've had at the Frontier Restaurant near the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. The red salsa was warm and super tasty. I definitely had to have a second bowl of salsa that I immediately poured over my rice. The service was fast and friendly. The green taco sauce (for my tacos) was nice and spicy. Very rude . I would come here often and wouldn't have any issues. I always order the same thing and today the rude guy taking my order. They literally just tried to charge me $7.50 for free chips and salsa and when I asked to speak to a manager he said they don't want to talk to me and that they're busy but wasn't at all. Very bad customer service with him behind the register he didn't even know how to ring anything up. This is a good little spot. They have a lot of authentic choices, as well as breakfast. I like the Mojarra Frita with chipotle. It's a whole fried fish with a smokey spicy tomato sauce. Their Chile rellenos are good, as well as the gorditas. Their breakfast items are tasty, and the prices are good as well. Casual ambience with bachata music and soccer on the screen. I had to subtract a star because their horchata isn't great, their salsas seemed watered down and all heat with no flavor, and their meat choices aren't the best (i don't eat pork so I am stuck with steak and chicken and the quality isn't the best) they should at least add lengua or something else for more variety. Food is okay but not great. The gorditas had more beans than the meat I ordered, so they skimp on the meat. I was there on a Sunday close to noon and it got packed soon after. They only had one lady who was the waitress, server, and cashier so service was slow and it quickly got crowded and a line formed at the register. False advertisement! They have a sign hanging outside with specials. I asked the waitress about the 99 cent tacos and she said that sign is old and they do not have any specials. We had tacos, enchiladas and huaraches from this place a couple days ago. I know my food especially Mexican food. Im a hard person to please because Mama Rosa's cooking is still the best in my eyes, but this place rocked my pants off. Huaraches were loaded with beans avocado crema and carne. Freaking thing was awesome! Enjoyed it a ton. Salsa is also legit not that watered down not hot for the American palate salsa, but salsa con sabor with a kick. Staff was awesome they brought us our food out to the car while we waiting. We had the dogs with us so we took it to go. Thanks I'm glad to have a legit real Mexican restaurant in the neighborhood.
