Good decent price very pleased and filled me up with just 3

So I was working in the area and wanted some street tacos. Looked in Yelp and found Restarant Perez and saw that it had really good reviews. Walked in with my group and sat down at the back of the restaurant. I saw that the location only had 1 waitress, and she was running around to get everyone taken care of. She finally came by and asked what we wanted to drink. I asked for Agua Fresca Limon, but she said they didn't have any at the moment.. bummer. I checked the menu and didn't see street tacos on the menu. I asked her, and she said that they do have them, but just not in the menu. I ordered 3 tacos, 2 trompo, and 1 barbacoa. My coworker got a torta Cubana, and the other one got green sauce enchiladas. The order came out pretty quickly. I was pleased with the 3 tacos they were delicious, and the other guys liked their food. Also, the only comment that my coworker had was that he didn't really like the sausage that was in the torta. My tacos were great flavor was on point for the barbacoa, and the trompo was nice and toasty. Location 8 outa 10 pretty clean Menu 3 outa 10 need to be updated Server 6 outa 10 she was working hard Trimo tacos 6 outa 10 tasty Barbacoa tacos 7 outa 10 good good! Salsa 8 outa 10 I'd eat it on eggs! All in all, it was good paid 12 dollars for 6 tacos, which is not bad. I would come back

Good food! Had the chicken quesadillas and pastor tacos. Their hot sauce, Chile and chips were good too.

Good quick and friendly service, great food. Good prices too. Get their mocajete, probably the best I've ever had. Not the cleanest place, but its authentic.

Such a great spot to grab a quick bite. Breakfast ends at 12 and so ended up getting cocktail de camarón and it was delicious not too ketchupy like other places. the agua the melon was really good too. some people may see it as pricey but you get what you pay for and it's quality flavorful food here.

RECOMMEND: No. Not worth the money or the time. TIMEFRAME: Lunch SALSA: Spicy and flavorful, but way too watery. PROs: Friendly staff. CONs: The "Cuban" torta... what a disaster! I have never eaten a sandwich (especially Cuban) that contained sliced hot dogs(?). My fault for not reading the menu. The prices are above the norm for a Mexican restaurant. Spell check on the menus. "Jam" = Ham; "Manney" = Mayonnaise Design - Tacky. Furniture needs updating. Design and the overall restaurant appearance (inside and out), does not seem to be a concern for owner (low priority).

Delicious! The best Mexican food I've had in a while! Great lunch spot! I love a good taco, and these were perfect. Corn tortillas, carnitas, onions, cilantro and red and green sauce that rate close to a 10! My hubs got the Torta which was huge and filled with meat and all the goods, including fresh avocado. The Chips and the warm salsa that came out before we ordered heated ups tastebuds just right. You know it's good Mexican food when you don't feel the spice as something painful, yet you walk away with clear sinuses. ;)

I ate here back in August and I forgot that I did until I was looking through pictures on my phone. It's nice to have another mexican restaurant a hop, skip, and a jump from my house. Used to be a chinese restaurant. Altamesa isn't exactly the nicest street, so I've been side eyeing this place for a while. They have breakfast, tacos, tortas, huaraches, fajitas, chile rellenos, and a little bit more. Menudo on the weekend. The hours on Yelp are not their actual hours. I can't remember what they were now since it was back in August I ate here. I do know they open at 7 am, two days they close at 3-4, and stay open until 9. Not helpful, I know. The inside is clean and simple. I had a huarache with beef. It was humongous. Had beans, cheese, avocado, cabbage, sour cream, and beef on it. When I get a craving for a huarache, I'd definitely come here.

    Exterior shot. Quite humble.

Wow! I was shocked. What amazing Mexican food. I had the Tacos al Pastor (3) plus rice and beans plate. Very big tacos and some of the best rice and beans I've had in a while. The chips and salsa are reminiscent of what I've had at the Frontier Restaurant near the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. The red salsa was warm and super tasty. I definitely had to have a second bowl of salsa that I immediately poured over my rice. The service was fast and friendly. The green taco sauce (for my tacos) was nice and spicy. Just the way I like it. I have lived a mile away for several years and I never thought of stopping by. Now, it will be part of my regular schedule.

It seemed like an elevated resturant you'd like to celebrate a special meal with loved ones. They do offer a happy hour so we were able to save a dollar or so but for the most part the menu is pricey. My rating is based off sides. I'm not bothered by spending more money or purchasing a side separately however, when it's not cooked well or missing ingredients it makes the meal a little disconnected. This may be due to expecting more from a "nicer" place but the truth is it will always come down to quality and this it was lacking this evening. What we ordered Amarillo Ceviche $22.00 ahi tuna, ají amarillo, leche de tigre, mango, cucumber, red onion - this appetizer was phenomenal we were all fighting for the last bite everything was do fresh and naturally a light app No complaints on our protein it was cooked to our preference 10oz Wagyu Picanha $58.00 14oz Prime Ribeye $68.00 Sides are sold separately Pork Belly Mac & Cheese $17.00. - Pork Belly and chorizo were subtle but loved the cheese and pasta Roasted Heirloom Carrots $17.00 - Were so roasted there was hardly any carrots

At the bar, the bartender gave excellent service and convinced us to try a couple of tacos along with the yuca fries and plantains we originally planned to order--and I'm glad he did. The Tacos Al Carbón were outstanding: grilled fajita beef with sautéed poblano and onion on flour tortillas topped with pico de gallo and guacamole. The steak was tender and full of flavor. The beans and rice were just right, and the plantains with coconut sauce were a perfect addition. The bartender also recommended a Stone Delicious IPA, which made the short wait enjoyable. It's hard for me to step outside of the box sometimes, especially when you've got whack food-allergies. Let me enlighten you on these Churrasco Street Tacos. The tortillas are fresh and not bland, the meat (I've tried both chicken and beef skirt) is seasoned generously and just right, the shredded lettuce is bright and crunchy, and they definitely don't skimp on the cheese! Plus there's a fantastic "keymayo" sauce mixed in; a tangy citrus delight that isn't overpowering but definitely takes these tacos to another level. If you're one of those folks who hates mayonnaise, that's fine, but try not to dismiss everything it's ever in. It's an awesome base for creative accoutrements like Whats Cook-N Chef's keymayo, and I think you'll love it! That sauce is good for more than just tacos, it makes the perfect dip for the homemade fried plantain chips you'll want to order at this food truck. These little wafers of joy are sweet, salty, crispy, and delightfully warm. Ahhh. Dunk them in that cool keymayo and you've got an unbeatable pairing of flavors! I've had the opportunity to meet the head chef of Whats Cook-N Chef, Javier, and he's excited about his business and dedicated to serving authentic Latin cuisine that'll impress your palate.
