The service was very good. Chips and salsa guy checked on us several times to make sure we have everything, and the waitress was very nice and attentive to our needs, and kept our drinks full. 6/14/2024 Friday night - packed as usual. The word's gotten out that this is a Great Mexican Restaurant. UGH ! Wait staff : Always hustling - no standing around looking at their phones. Nadia is our favorite, but all do a good job. Drinks : Top Shelf Margarita - Excellent - Value Priced. Food: wife orders the Whole Fish. I mean the whole fish. She loves it!! I stick with the more traditional fare. Management: ( the focus of this review) Tonight we noticed 2 folks we didn't recognize. ( only because they normally work the day shift ) As it turns out, they were the owners. I witnessed Karan ( owner) taking a Dust Pan and Broom away from one of the wait staff to clean up a mess someone had made, she did this so the waiter could focus on their customers. WOW !! Management picking up a broom testifies to the commitment they have to running this business. Both owners were hustling and setting the example for their employees!! We were a group of 4 and our friends had already gone outside and I was keeping the wife company while she finished the last bit of her margarita. Karen, had already removed a few of our plates. There were people waiting in line and I was OK with them trying to clear the rest of table, but they didn't. They waited until we both stood up and walked away before they jumped into action to clean the table. I Greatly appreciate management setting the team example. I have a previous review of this establishment and I have to update here. The food is really good and there are plenty of options for everyone. There is indoor and outdoor seating in case you wanna sit outside and enjoy your meals. The servers are pretty savvy about what are the better options as far as food goes. 4/24/24 One of the best places to eat in Jerrell . We now eat here 2-3 times a month. Margaritas are very good, and the food is consistently delicious. IMO great food at a reasonable price. Chips, Salsa & Beans - complementary !! Definitely ask for the Green Salsa. It's super tasty and not crazy hot. Most meals we order come with a Grilled Jalapeño - nice touch. Want to take your experience up a notch ? Ask for our favorite server...Nadia ! She's amazing and works to get you the best options available. Our server, Eduardo, was great took great care of us. I'm assuming one of the management saw us struggling with flies outside and he gave us this very neat swatter so we could still enjoy our meal outside. The patio is very nice with lots of greenery and a fountain. My trainer brought the whole crew here to eat. Wow it was not a disappointment in any way. Really good place to eat and amazing service. Had chips and salsa that was really good, ask for the green spicy salsa. You won't regret it. The hospitality here was great out waitress kept all our drinks full and gave us to go drinks thank you. My meal was as good as I would make myself at home. The bistec ranchero was the best. With the homemade charro beans! This is so delicious like I said I couldn't make it any better myself! The manager Maggie should not have her job. She has illegally issued coupons that say "$10 off towards any food purchase" We spent $50 on food and drinks, but didn't "buy 2 entrees" instead bought the fajitas for 2. However, NOWHERE DOES IT SAY YOU NEED ANOTHER ENTREE. Nowhere on the coupon does it say that. 100% illegal business practice Do not come here with this coupon, they do not honor it. It is a scam the manager knows about Worst thing is I enjoyed the food but the absentee manager wants me to never come here again over $10. The chicken fajitas were bland and sad. They looked the part but didn't play the part. Their prices are off. The queso is just globby velveeta. Friends and family liked a chile rellino dish. The staff was meh. It's in Jarrell so that's decent. I hope they improve their recipes. Walk to Auroras if you are in the strip mall. You won't regret that. read more

The food Can be delicious when they get your order correct. I love the drive-thru option. Food better stay good, otherwise he poor customer service they have a habit of providing would shut them down fast. I've experienced several unpleasant exchanges with employees, even being called a liar and told I hadn't called my order in whenever I showed up to pick it up and they couldn't find it. It's Jarrell, we only have a couple places to eat to begin with and their phone number is programmed in my phone. Will review food next! So I tasted the 'Barbacoa Street Taco' and nearly vomited! The meated had a taste that I can only describe as putrid! The swirl margaritas were not very frozen, nor tasty. The chips, beans, and salsa are tasty; we loved them. The Gordita was OK, the onion/jalapeño mixture served with it is delicious. Chicken enchiladas were good. Our server was wonderful. read more

Food was excellent and service was fast. Highly recommend the El Tampiqueno. The staff was dealing with a mild crisis at the time. Some a-hole patron berated the hostess about her broken English and told her to "go back to her f-ing country". I wish I was making that up. She started crying. Our waitress was great and explained the situation as we patiently sat on the patio enjoying the gorgeous weather and delicious chips and salsa. Driving back from Waco, and decided to make a stop here. Parking is sufficient and has more space than you would think when you walk inside. Tables and booths are roomy, and the menus are probably the nicest I have ever seen. Prices were fair, salsa and chips were amazing. The chile con queso had a delicious cheese flavor, but began to harden rather quickly. The quesadillas were good, though a little on the greasy side. My husband got a plate with a mix of all the meats, and he approved. The chicken plate I ordered was very dry! The charro beans lacked flavor, but will beat a refried bean anyway. Service was slow, as we never got refills on our salsa, and it took a while to get additional chips and water. Overall, we would recommend it if you are in the area wanting Mexican food; however, we'll probably find somewhere else to go next time we are passing through. read more

We bought a house in the community and after leaving from seeing the updates in our home we stopped to check the place. My sangria margarita was amazing! As a vegetarian in a small town in Texas, it's always hard to find decent food. They have an excellent nopal taco. Their chips and salsa are pretty decent. The service is great as I tend to come in a large group. I wouldn't recommend avocado taco, as it is literally avocado smeared with a warmed-up tortilla. read more
