Visited on a Thursday around 5pm and we were able to get in and out. Food was delivered fast & fresh. Order was to our liking as well. One thing about Mezcalito is they have the best salsa. I love the onions to sauce ratio. Chefs kiss This was 2nd location I've visited. I've frequent the Clayton location quite often and they both have consistent branding. Recommend? Yessss

    Chicken taco and cheesy quesadilla

The shredded chicken taco and cheesy quesadilla was okay. I wasn't super impressed by the food. The service was pretty good, though! Our server was fairly attentive, and I was seated quickly after I told them I'd spent the whole day standing. The beans were better than most other places I've been. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance was okay, fairly upscale.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The noise level was the only thing I have to complain about in that regard.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Solid Mexican food! The service was great! The asada tacos and horchata were my favorite! They do give you chips and salsa to start.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Really nice Latin atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]You know, it's a good place to eat when it's packed even the people sitting outdoors on the patio when it's chilly and windy outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The servers were very friendly and knowledgeable. Although I wondered why they put a party of two at a table for six. The appetizer of chorizo queso was delicious and one of the best I've had. I ordered the enchiladas De Camaron when I saw on the menu it came with Diablo sauce. I'm glad I did. It was delicious with just the right amount of heat. I didn't realize my head was sweating until I walked outside and felt the air conditioning affect in my hair. My friend really liked the burrito they had. I've been to this place once before, and like most Mexican restaurants, I tried the ACP because that's how I usually write a place. And their ACP was just average. But they must've gotten better because everything was really good this time. I'll have to come back, especially since it's right beside a good craft, beer spot, bottle theory.

Have been to this mezcalito a few times and it's been consistently so yummy! Have had the same server a few times, Miss Tania, she's been very attentive and bubbly! Been asking for her section now every time that we go! She took good care of our fam!

I came to Mezcalito in Apex to celebrate Father's Day, and it was a great experience. The whole staff was welcoming. I ordered the pastor quesadilla, it wasn't my favorite. I'll definitely stick to their ACP. I just wasn't the biggest fan of the pineapple they included in and on top of the pastor quesadilla, it was too sweet for my liking. Other than that, I enjoyed Mezcalito. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Their ambiance is the best they even have a live mariachi band playing in the restaurant, which I found so cool and epic![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I will definitely come back to Mezcalito.

Just did a review on the Durham location and clearly I was so impressed I had to check out the Apex location. If you've seen that review you'll remember I said the Durham location was definitely the place to go for a party. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The Apex location wasn't as hype but in a good way.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We didn't eat inside so I can't speak to the noise level but it seemed reasonable when we checked in with the hostess before heading back to the patio.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The music was still great but it was more lowkey, very family friendly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We enjoyed the evening breeze while it sprinkled. There is nothing I hate more than sitting on a covered patio and still getting wet! This was NOT the case here.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The patio was large enough for many groups to be seated comfortably and covered from the rain/wind.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My husband and I ordered the exact same dishes as we did in Durham, both were equally as delicious though I will say mine was slightly different in flavor - not good or bad just different. I'll also add I got a margarita that was sweeter than I typically get so it's possible that changed my palate. Regardless the food here is AMAZING and it's officially my husband go to for Tex-Mex, he was missing the Tex-Mex from Dallas so this was a great find. Our server was fantastic. He got our drinks and food order in right away and our food came out popping hot! He stayed near by and kept a watchful eye to ensure we had what we needed. It was another perfect date night! Cheers!

Going down hill! This was a favorite in the area where we loved to bring family and friends. As it's gotten more popular its service and food quality has gone down. Cheese Dip you'd find at any other spot in the area is $10.00. Thinking it's time to take a break and assess the service and quality!

    Burnt chimichanga
    Chris L.

$12.99 for some burnt chimichangas. This not only passed by a chef, but also a front of house manager and possibly a hostess. Everytime we order food here something is either missing or overcooked. Crispy rice. Garbage. I would not feed this burnt mess to my dog. Whole bay leaf stuffed in the chimichangas, also crispy. These things are not hard to spot as a chef. Very disappointed.

Not your typical Mexican. Upscale vibe and dishes, cocktails and more. Large inside and outside seating areas. Also takes reservations.

Update to below review:…read more I've been here 5 times now and have a better feel for things. They have games here too...things like Uno, trivia, battleship, trivia, jenga, etc. It's kid friendly during daytime hours and the occasional food truck is really great! Dog water bowls inside and out, 3 big screens w sound wired to all inside, pool table, sofas, hightops bar seating....20+ beers on tap and a liquor menu focused on bourbons and some whiskeys and scotch--but they have a little of everything. Service was polite and speedy. Ambiance / atmosphere / vibe was clean w a little industrial vibe w the cool ceiling. Foid trucks rotate in regularly--this place is great and dog-friendly. I can't wait to see it grow as this is the 1st written review and I'm just visiting my sis who lives in the neighborhoid (I live in Richmond VA). 5 stars.

So...what's the actual name of this place? Bottles & Cans Beer and Wine Shop or Taps and Social?…read moreJudging by the signage and the receipt, it seems to answer to both. Either way, it delivers exactly what you'd hope for--a great selection of drinks in a relaxed, social setting. After finishing dinner at Shijiri, we had a little over an hour to kill before heading home, so we wandered over here. We decided to grab seats inside rather than on the front patio. The interior is surprisingly spacious, with plenty of seating whether you prefer pulling up to the bar or sinking into one of the comfortable sofas. Our tasting lineup included the refreshing Sangria Slushy, Anderson Valley's Wild Turkey Bourbon Barrel Stout, and Komana's Hefe the Hefeweizen. While enjoying our drinks, we spent some time hanging out with Aria, the Bouvier des Flandres, who was incredibly friendly and happily accepted all the attention. She definitely added to the welcoming atmosphere. Before leaving, we couldn't resist browsing the shelves and ended up taking home a build-your-own six-pack featuring beers from 3 Floyds, Edit, Middle James, Two Tides, Grimm, and Anytime Beer Co. The selection is excellent for anyone who enjoys discovering craft beers beyond the usual grocery store offerings. Whether you're looking to enjoy a drink on-site, build a mixed six-pack to take home, or simply relax with friends (or make a new four-legged one), this place checks all the boxes. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in the area.

They had a pretty decent selection of beers available, and I was impressed that you could get pretty much any type of beer as a singleton (versus having to buy a 4 pack or whatever). I did feel like the refrigerated section could have been a bit larger, but they did have a few good choices in there. They had a big selection of beers available on tap, and while I didn't partake this time, I was kind of tempted by the quadrupel :) The bartender was nice and helpful throughout my visit. Overall, if you're in the area, this seems like a nice place to stop and grab a beer. I've seen slightly better selection of beers elsewhere, but I do think you could find something you like here :)
