Shekinah was professional, thorough, accommodating and kind in assisting with reservation and requested set up. I believe our host was Heather, she was efficient and took control to ensure all orders were processed correctly. The enclosed patio was perfect. Great service, great food. We arrived early and we're promptly seated. There was a lot of activity readying the kitchen supplies for the evening service but it wasn't too distracting. Our server was TJ and he did a great job. I had the cauliflower Romano and boyfriend had the salmon and Ceasar salad. Both delicious. We ordered the rich and dense chocolate cake for dessert and we're comped the terramissau for BF's birthday. Again, delicious. Can't wait to return and try other items. read more

After the response, I accept that it was probably just a bad night we chose to come in and they were overwhelmed. I am sorry if I was overly negative. It just didn't feel nice to be ignored and as for asking to speak with anyone, we were in too much of a rush after waiting to be able to do that and I wouldn't have been able to flag someone down anyways because everyone was busy. The chicken sandwich I had for lunch wasn't had enough to complain about. The chicken was just kind of dry and overcooked, but I guess the brioche bun wasn't bad. I ordered from this restaurant for the first time through DoorDash. So disappointing!! First, there were no fries included in my chicken fingers and fries meal. Then, the size of their $20 burger was abysmal and doesn't include any sides or cheese! Last, I ordered the $30 tagliatelle pasta with short rib and found myself chewing on plastic. Upon spitting it out, I found that it was a piece of tape. Thankfully I was able to get a partial refund for my order. I will never order from this restaurant again. I have never been here and had wanted to try it. Today it was supposed to open at 11:30am. Went at 12:20pm and went opened door, and walked in. Door was unlocked, but place was empty. No signs why. Employee yelled, "No, No service" from the back. No sign on door, no explanation why it was closed on a Saturday when all signs and Yelp hours say it would be open. If are going to be closed should have sign on door and door locked. Not have employee yelling at people after they enter. read more

Hands down, one of the best restaurants if not the best restaurant in Stockton. The reason why is they have the best of service. Let's define that period they remember you when you come back. They make recommendations for you they treat you like you are 1st class every time period - bar none. When you walk into mezzo's it's like walking in owning the place that's how they treat you like you own it. You're not gonna get any service like that from any other restaurant that I've seen anywhere within 50 miles. Oh did I mention that the food is awesome on point and hot! My family and I came here for a birthday and had a great experience! It was a Friday and super busy - but we were able to get a spot at the bar. We got the calamari (fritto misto) for an appetizer - it was crunchy and came with 2 kinds of sauce. My favorite entrée was the parppadelle chicken! So far I have been to Mezzo twice in less than a month, and to say my experience was great would be an understatement! The food was lovely, the staff was great! The first time I had JT and he was great and attentive. He gave great recommendations! The last time I went was on a Wednesday to celebrate a birthday. The food was amazing as usual and the service was fantastic. I ordered a cider that wasn't really my jam, but I didn't want to complain since i ordered it. Nick came and checked on us and asked if i enjoyed it, I told him it wasn't really my thing and he offered to substitute it for a different beverage! He even offered us a complimentary glass of dessert wine. My partner was telling him how he wants to try wine but doesn't know where to start, Nick invited us back so he can show us more wines! Unfortunately, when I checked my bank account on a Saturday I was overcharged.. I called them and left a vm. Nick called back within a few hours and apologized immediately. He was extremely kind and honest about the situation and even offered me a gift card on top of my bank crediting me back. Usually things like this are a hassle and I was hesitant to even call but Nick was so very honest and transparent and made me feel comfortable. There is nothing bad I can say about this little Gem of a restaurant. From the ENTIRE staff being courteous and friendly, and the amazing food that never disappoints, this is my families go to spot for sure. We have had quiet dinners just the wife and I, and we have rented out the patio multiple times hosting as many as 40 of our closest friends and family, and have never been disappointed. Located in a cute little space and definitely not a restaurant you'll stumble across while driving as it's a bit hidden. We met a friend in Stockton for lunch and decided on this place because of the photos I saw posted on Yelp. They weren't very busy during Thursday lunch hour, which is a great when you want fast and amazing service. We had a party of 4, where we arrived at different times but they were very chill about it. Our server was Jonnie. Super nice and attentive guy. He was constantly checking up on us and filled our drinks as needed. Loved the friendly service. We started off with the Calamari & Hummus. Both were delicious. As a lover of fried Calamari, I naturally hogged one and ignored the other. Squeeze some lemon on the Calamari and you have perfection. I also had a refreshing Lemonade. My main course was the Grilled Chicken Panini with a side Cesar Salad. The Panini was amazing, but definitely heavy on my arteries with the bacon and pesto. The Cesar salad was different. Tasty, but super heavy....a bit like eating chucks of mayo on my lettuce. Everything was great! Loved my first visit to Mezzo. Funny thing......What really stood out was the hand soap LOL. Coconut Lime scented hand soap in the men's restroom. Left my hands feeling soft and clean, with a great smell. Simple, bright décor as well. Parking is definitely not an issue here. So much parking available to accommodate all the businesses located in the complex. CHECK OUT MEZZO! If I'm in Stockton again anytime soon, I'll be trying out other items on the menu. read more

I've had the opportunity to dine at this fine restaurant and also hold a couple of events there. Each time I have been pleasantly satisfied with the food and the service . Just a few weeks ago we celebrated our son's wedding there and Sofia and her staff were superb! Very attentive to detail and professional. From the moment I walked in I was greeted by everyone - sincere and genuine and helpful. I went to the host stand and was greeted by 3 lovely hostesses. They accommodated me throughout my nite specifically Shay, Ruby and Heather. When I ordered my wonderfully lite salad I couldn't believe I actually got rainbow radishes ! The dressing was perfect. Shay made sure I was comfortable and checked in just enough - not under or over. The farm to table and the fact I only had to walk 7 mins from my Marriott is a win win. I do not remember the last time I had Italian food this good. We stumbled in here randomly after an afternoon of wine tasting with a craving for Italian. It is a bit more upscale than I anticipated so I felt a little underdressed in my T-shirt and jeans. But nobody seemed to mind. This place has a classy modernist feel and would be a great spot for a date night or special occasion. Our server was helpful when I asked for menu recommendations and revealed that she had actually gone to cooking school in Tuscany! As all good Italian restaurants do, they served us free bread! I am a sucker for free food. They gave us a few squares of focaccia surrounding an olive tapenade and olive oil mixture. It was awesome. And they happily brought us two refills. I ordered a tagliatelle pasta with mushrooms and kale (I do not remember the exact name). It was sooo good. They make their pasta fresh and, in my opinion, that really elevates a good pasta dish to the next level. I also tried a bite from some other plates on our table and they were all fantastic. The menu changes seasonally which means the ingredients are always fresh and there will always be new delicious options to try! The price is a little higher than for somewhere you might want to go everyday but if you are looking for a nice night out with some superb pasta, Mezzo has got you covered. Went to Mezzo yesterday with my boyfriend, just wanting to try a new place in our town. We looked on Yelp of course and it seems like it was all good. When we got there, we got seating quickly (only because we made a reservation) and the people are nice. The place is kind of "hard" to find since it is in a corner part of the lot but Brookside is nice as we, from Stockton know, that it is. So, regarding to the food. The price did not match the quality of food. We got focaccia bead, but only 4 small slices which is nothing practically. But we ordered the pesto with angel hair and chicken which was pretty decent but ONLY decent because for the price of it, didn't make sense. My boyfriend ordered the bolognese pasta dish and according to him, he could've made it better himself. I definitely had better pesto sauce which much more food with the price they were charging. PLUS, we ordered two mixed drinks and that costed more than my plate. Overall, service was good but the food was 3/5 just because I'm really nice and liked my dish at least. If you wanna go, you can but we have better places to have Italian food. I will probably won't go there again but glad I can say that statement. read more

Mezzo is definitely a hidden gem in Stockton! The food is delicious, they carry nothing but the finest of wines, the ambiance is extraordinary and the staff is top notch. Specifically, I have been impressed with our server, Shekinah, who has been at the restaurant during each of our visits. She is kind, informative, fun and, above all else, she makes sure that each and every customer feels welcomed and comfortable. The walls are decorated with impressive artwork, there is seating at the bar, and there are tables both indoors and outdoors. The patio sky is lined with lights --perfect for romance and special occasions. We learned from Shekinah that the kitchen staff make their own pasta from scratch, they carve their own ice for specialty drinks, they bake their own break, and whip their own whipped cream. I'm sure they do so much more, but you'll have to visit them to ask for yourself. You will NOT be disappointed. read more
