We were adding a home office, extend a bathroom to make a true master bathroom, walk-in closet, and sun room on the back of our house. This was a BIG job, so we did lots of quotes. Marshall came in much lower-- guess I should have trusted the adage-- "You get what you pay for!" We were quoted that the job would take 14 weeks-- too bad it has been a year and it still is not complete. Marshall will not even give a definitive completion date in text or over the phone-- he certainly knows the law! My one-year old hasn't been able to walk in the backyard yet. He wasn't even walking when we started this process! Marshall keeps promising to come and get the job complete, but we are still waiting. He tells us guys will be here, but then they NEVER show and he won't return a call. The painter he used was awful and did a crappy job-- we are still waiting for small things to be done inside! My husband had to get someone else to run the internet and phone cable in the new office because Marshall, again, kept promising to get guys out here so he could work (he works from home)! The flooring my husband bought to match our existing floating floor was nailed down so now there are a ton of issues with the flooring and nails popping out of the floor. Cracks are starting to appear in the shower and in a lot of places on the ceiling. It is just a sloppy job and because it has taken so long to complete, the house is settling and issues are arising. We are sitting a 366 days-- we only owe the last 5%, but this feels like a joke at this point. My neighbor and friends just keep laughing at this situation. It is a now a joke when he says he will have guys show-- there response is to NOT hold my breath or I will have a funeral. With Marshall there is always an excuse if you can get him to call you back. He seemed really great; he would do well as a used car salesman-- maybe he should consider a career change! DO NOT HIRE! read more
