This good was so delicious it felt like a home cooked meal. Customer service was immaculate. Our waiter was very attentive and even recommended some specialty dishes. Family oriented!

Authentic Puerto Rican food. The food and service is so ah-mazing that I doubled back before leaving the island. I ordered the garlic shrimp with rice and beans and a side of tostones. My friends ordered skirt steak, pork, chicken and shrimp, yucca and maduros. We cleaned our plac

Gem, in airport area. I am a Caribbean food apologist as I love the flavors and the vibes. This restaurant was recommended to me by a friend. It's a mimi/papi establishment and proud of it. Here's my three things: 1) Don Q and rum ‍ all night have fun. RELAX 2) Mufungo + Pulpo + Garlic is magic! Do It!! 3) if you don't like my suggestions then scan the menu, ask Q's, and find your flavor. This staff aims to please in my opinion.

Went to Mi Casita for breakfast as it's within walking distance of our Airbnb. We were greeted by the owner and told to sit anywhere. Our waiter came and took our drink order and brought them out promptly. I ordered the Breakfast Special with bacon. M daughter asked for her eggs over medium with bacon. She didn't get her bacon, but they didn't charge her for it and her eggs came out over easy. We also ordered a mushroom omelet and a western omelet. Another couple came in and ordered after us and received their food before us. We are use to island time and we're on vacation so didn't make a big deal about it but it was noticeable. The food was okay and prices were reasonable. Overall, we'll probably go to other local spots for the rest of our visit.

I've been coming here for the past 15 years, and it's always been fabulous. The monfongo is awesome, I always get the churrasco mofongo! Service has been quick and orderly, albeit if the restaurant is crowded(like it always is at peak times), the wait might be a bit much if you're not on island time. The sangria is great, and has the perfect sweetness without being overwhelming. Restaurant has not changed in 15 years, and the setting is what is to be expected. I'd recommend this place many a times over, so not certain why some people give it a lower rating than 4-5 stars.

Came in for a very late dinner after a very long and unplanned stressful travel day. We ordered a variety of things. It took a very very long time to get food. Our server was hard to track down. I got the shrimp in garlic sauce. For a garlic sauce it lacked garlic. The yuca fries were not cut uniformly so some were over cooked some where ok and others undercooked. Also lacked seasoning. Over all I was unimpressed with the place our uber driver recommended. Wouldn't return

As the name says this is like eating at someone's house, which I love! A good home cooked meals is like a hug! We walked in and were seated and served quickly, our server was sweet and told us about the nightly special, it was a dish with pernil, arroz con gandules, pasteles and salad, sounds great! We got that and also a mofongo with beef. Everything came out and was tasty, nothing spectacular but all good!

Craving a plant based mofongo. Found this little place that didn't disappoint. It was very casual and easy going service. We arrived and it was empty but shortly after it got packed. I also highly recommend getting the sweet plantains they went great with the rice and beans. If you need authentic mofongo please stop by here.

The food is truly authentic and traditional. The Navideño plate gives you a taste of Puerto Rico! Their Yuca Frita is beyond this world, with the pink sauce is even better. It is small, but cozy. The service was excellent and did not have to wait long. The food came out rather quick. Don't leave without trying their Guava Cheesecake!

We arrived a little early so we walked around a little beforehand then sat on the bench in front until they were ready. The space is narrow. A row of tables on the right, steep stairs in the back to an intimate space for 6 people, a tiny kitchen in the back where all the magic happens. We ordered 11 dishes for 4 of us to share. The tostanos, the ceviche, I enjoyed it all. The waitstaff were friendly and accommodating. Most fascinating was the wall hanging along the right side. It was waving the entire time. Of course we asked about it, and we were told that there is no fan blowing behind it. The waving tapestry was caused by a suction from the kitchen.

This was my first meal in Puerto Rico and basically my introduction to Puerto Rican cuisine. They offer a twist on classic dishes, which kind of threw us off but I still enjoyed most of the dishes! I really liked the asopao, empanadas, tostones, and the guanime (dessert). The other dishes were good as well, but a bit on the salty side, which I'm just not used to. The only thing I didn't like was the alcapurria, which I think you can get better ones elsewhere, but it was definitely worth trying. We got complimentary ice cream beans which was nice because I love trying exotic fruits! And the rocio de miel is a great cocktail if you're like me and you like sweeter, lighter drinks. Our server was very attentive and patient, explaining the menu to us since we hadn't tried most things before. It was a very nice experience and great introduction to Puerto Rican cuisine!

If you're staying in Condado, I'd probably just grab an Uber rather than make the walk. The service was exceptional from start to finish, and reservations are definitely recommended. This was honestly one of the calmest, most relaxing restaurant experiences I've had in a very long time. Because of that, I probably wouldn't bring kids unless they're exceptionally well behaved. It's just not that kind of restaurant, and I'd hate to be the one disrupting the atmosphere everyone else came to enjoy. The clarified espresso martini was as visually intriguing (it's completely clear) as it was delicious and smooth. The fried chicken and pork belly were both outstanding, and I'd happily order either one again. Overall, if you're looking to splurge on one memorable meal in San Juan, Vianda would be high on my list.

I've been coming here for years and this is what I've learned, take it from a local. For a quick bite, alcapurrias are a MUST -- especially beef or crab.
