From day one, they have felt safe, cared for, and truly part of a community. The teachers are warm, attentive, and clearly invested in each child's development. Our kids have learned so much--not just academically, but also socially and emotionally--and they come home excited to share new things every day. They love their teachers and classmates, which says it all. We feel seen, valued, and respected as a same sex couple with children. We are deeply grateful for the support from teachers like Ms. Oana, Ms. Anna, Ms. Selena, Ms. Destiny, Ms. Tammy, Ms. Sym, Ms. Nicole, and Ms. Ashlee. Additionally, the administration, especially Ms. Eva, goes above and beyond to ensure everything runs smoothly and that families feel welcomed and supported. Their dedication truly shines through in the culture of the center. As parents, we have complete peace of mind knowing our children are in a nurturing, supportive place where they are thriving. We highly recommend Young Stars to any family looking for a daycare that combines safety, learning, and joy.

The Superintendent of Faith Family Academy purchased a home worth over a million dollars in…read moreDecember 2020, yet under her leadership the school has earned an "F" rating for three consecutive years. Parents who want to verify these failing scores will struggle to find them, as the Superintendent refuses to post them publicly as required. Her contract guarantees a base salary well above $300,000 per year, and with benefits and incentives she takes home over $500,000 annually. The contract protects her from ever receiving a pay cut--she is only eligible for raises, even as student outcomes continue to decline. How does someone get rewarded more for consistently failing students? The school board is no better. Roughly half of the board members responsible for financial oversight are her own family, and about three-quarters (still a part of her family) of the board work/preach at the same church, creating obvious conflicts of interest. Instead of prioritizing students and parents, Faith Family Academy has become a system that profits off the backs of Black and Brown children while delivering little in return. Adding to the hypocrisy, the Superintendent's own children do not attend Faith Family Academy. They are enrolled in private school. If Faith Family Academy is supposed to be a "top-class" institution, why wouldn't her own family attend? The reality is clear: while other people's children are left behind, her children are given the best opportunities money can buy--opportunities funded by taxpayers who were promised something better.

IF I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS I WOULD. This school is horrible. There is no curriculum, and the…read moreteachers do not teach anything. My son is two years old and he has speech delay, and his own therapists have witnessed no form of order whatsoever. My son attended for about a year and there have been many incidents where he either gets bitten by a kid or he bites, kids are kids and sometimes accidents happen. His teacher, Patricia would stand on one side of the classroom and yell at all the kids. One day when I picked him up from the day care, I noticed his bangs were significantly shorter. My son has almost shoulder length hair and has long bangs that covers his eyes. I was able to see his eyes clearly and noticed on his shirt that there were hair clippings inside his shirt. I talked to the director and all of his teachers and no one knew what happened or who cut his hair. The director defended her staff and told me if I wasn't comfortable, to just move my son to another day care. It was very disrespectful to me for someone to cut my son's hair without my consent when I was trying to grow out his hair. This is unacceptable and if the director, Yohanna, herself cannot give an explanation on who and why they cut my son's hair, I do not trust my son in that center. Everyone at the center denied the incident and told me they did not have an answer to what happened and the director Yohanna stated even if a teacher did commit the incident, the teacher was not going to confess to the incident. I cannot trust ANY teacher in that school whatsoever. My son's hair may grow back, but the abuse that was committed will never leave my son and will affect his development. My son was already delayed in speech and now he is further delayed due to the lack of teaching and no control. I would ask how my son's day was and no one ever knew anything because by the time I arrived to pick up my son at 4:30 his teacher would gone and the substitute would know nothing. I had ask numerous of times for a behavioral report and I never received one. Again, there is absolutely no order at this school. There are tv's in the classrooms and I can assure myself that was probably all the kids do. The substitutes seem that they do not receive training at all, one afternoon I came to pick up my son, a substitute was in his classroom and the teacher had music blasting of "The Wheels on the Bus" and there was about 12 kids in all of the 2 year old classroom and all of the kids were on top of each other and my son was at the bottom and was trying to tell me he had hurt his knee, the substitute did not acknowledge me nor did she ask who I was picking up, anyone could've gone inside the classroom and taken another child and no one would have noticed. PLEASE AVOID THIS SCHOOL!!!!!!!
