We wandered in here several years ago and thought the food and service was good but it was so packed and loud that the whole experience was off-putting. Flip flop...walked in on a Sunday evening without a reservation. Place is empty. Three servers claimed to be our server in the first 10 minutes. Eventually our "real" server (#4) showed up with our drink order 15 minutes after server #1 took it. Tapas is my jam. I love the concept and the chef's effort and the experience. This experience began with a long list of "unavailable" items. No lamb ribs. No crudo. No octopus. So many NOs... Olives - spot on. Really good! Tempura fried scallops - more tempura than scallop but tasty nonetheless. Patatas Bravas - are they supposed to be crispy? Like kettle cooked crispy? Bravas sauce is great. Croquettes - crispy exterior with a potted meat interior. Do not recommend. Empanada - pretty good. Didn't need whatever sauce it's sitting on. Service was spotty and seemed rushed without there being a crowd. I'd come back, but probably not on purpose.

Thank you Yelpers! Reviews led us to this little hidden gem! Unbeknownst to us we were about to embark on a taste bud celebration of deliciousness. Best part of all was that it was happy hour so we had great food for a great price! We sat at the bar and were guided by our very engaged bartender Taylor. Her recommendations were on point! We'd have overlooked several items if it wasn't for her....I mean who the hell orders Confet carrots for an appetizer without a little coercion. An absolute star of the show were the Brussel Sprouts...you don't understand how next level these sprouts were. SMOKED GRAPES and CANDIED PECANS! And add apples and mint to the equation...that just equals best Brussel sprouts ever! Then the Confit Carrots (Thank You Taylor!)...Lemon Rosemary Ricotta as the base. Close your eyes and let those flavors sink in...now add chive oil and a dusting of cayenne. I'll never take carrots for granted again. I love seafood and hate when all the extras disguise the flavors of the sea. That was NOT the case with the Tuna Tartar. Perfect proportions of pickled mango, cucumber, red onion, basil, spicy pepitas, and chili oil. Perfectly added to the taste of the fresh tuna. They had me at truffle aioli...the beef sliders with caramelized onions and Brie cheese on fresh brioche buns were so good, ..they left me hungry for a full size portion. ...and yes, Taylor showed off her talents making a perfect Paloma with a Tahin rim. Didn't even make it to the entrées , but bookmarked for another round. I'll be back to continue my culinary research!

It was worth every penne! Highlights: * Drinks * Tapas * Pasta Review: The arancini had a perfectly crispy outer coating, a cheesy center, and elevated spice from the sauce. The spaghetti carbonara was smoky, flavorful, and creamy from the soft poached egg. The highlight of the day was the pan-seared scallops, which were cooked to perfection and paired perfectly with the lemon parmigiano risotto, which was bursting with flavor. I can't wait to go back to try the rest of their tapas. Rating: 9/10 Arancini- crispy risotto, mozzarella, arrabbiata sauce Pan Seared Scallops- lemon parmigiano risotto, chive oil Spaghetti Carbonara- soft poached egg, crispy bacon, parmigiano

I had an incredible experience here on Sunday night! The young man who served us was exceptional--he gave us plenty of time to look over the menu, offered thoughtful suggestions, and clearly took pride in the authentic Italian dishes. I say this because I asked for ranch for my pizza and they didn't have any as they keep it as authentic as they can. I loved this. The location is perfect, right in the heart of the Domain, with a vibrant ambiance that adds to the overall experience. I thoroughly enjoyed the pizza, meatballs, and the seasonal cheesecake, which was absolutely irresistible--I couldn't stop eating it! The wine selection was also great, complementing the menu. The lighting and atmosphere were just perfect for a relaxing evening. I would absolutely come back.

I really enjoyed the Italian tapas concept of this place. Being able to try several different things without getting too full was really fun. My favorites were the scallops and the arancini. The scallops were cooked perfectly, and so was the risotto that came with it. The contrast between the crunch and inner creaminess of the arancini was amazing. The filling (I think also risotto?) had a great balance of saltiness and lemon flavor/acidity. On the other hand, the brussels sprouts were a lowlight. They were extremely sour and sweet. My mouth was puckering, and I was making weird faces in the middle of our lunch date. I'd probably skip these and get some other veggie instead. Next time I also want to try the meatballs since the table next to us seemed to really enjoy them. The best part of the whole meal was the complementary creme brulee! It was very kind of them to celebrate our anniversary, and it was quite delicious. I'll be back!

Taelor is sweet, thorough, and attentive! We ordered almost 1 of everything off the tapas menu, 2 entrees, and the delicious espresso chocolate gelato on a brioche. While the place was peaceful on a Saturday afternoon, the 3 of us ordered more than the combined total of the 10 others in the place. All wonderful, and I enjoyed the most: abondiga flight, lamb ribs, red snapper crudo, and mussels. However, that espresso chocolate gelato brioche was phenomenal for me ;D

Stopped by on Saturday afternoon because we had to take advantage of the new AMEX credit we received via Resy. Our server was amazing. Very lively and great energy. The espresso martini was honestly the BEST I've had in Austin. With their freshly brewed coffee for each drink, you can really taste the difference. The lamb ribs were delicious but very fatty. The empanada was good but definitely not the best I've had. I enjoyed the broccolini with the truffle ricotta and the mussels were very flavorful with the sauce! I would definitely go back and try some other small plates.

Wow! What I assume to be the manager, came by our table of 6 and explained they recently developed a new menu this year. We were so fulfilled in all the tapas we ordered! The portions are small but perfect for sharing and exactly what we expected to keep us hungry enough to try the next dish. The food came out promptly and our waitress was kind and knowledgeable. One thing I did not like was our table was in the corner and the two people who are sitting closest to the walls will have a hard time getting out to use the restroom. Thankfully that wasn't an issue for us, but something to note if the drinks are flowing faster for your party. Speaking of drinks, the cocktails were amazing! I tried the Caribbean dream and the white peach, I recommend both. For food, you have to order the duck confit. If I had more room to eat I would've gotten a second serving of that. My other favorites were the albondigas flight, scallops, and the empanada. All in all, would recommend stopping for some good and quick eats and tasty drinks!

This place was perfect for a Saturday afternoon. It's not crowded at 2 o'clock, which is a great time to come in and enjoy a nice small back and Spanish stop us. The staff was friendly. The food was amazing and the ambience was sweet.

This is a favorite restaurant. Celebrated my daughter's birthday. Jose was a great server. Very friendly and helpful. We ordered arancini (fried risotto balls with some spice)/Brussel sprouts with apples, grapes and golden raisins/bacon wrapped dates/chicken croquettes with béchamel/butternut squash agnolotti with browned butter, sage, citrus, and candied pecans/caprese salad with burrata, pesto, basil and tomatoes/strip steak with black truffle oil/creme brûlée. Everything was delicious. No leftovers!

Let me start my review by saying the greeters and servers were extremely nice. When we walked in, there were two other groups seated but they were not busy at all. After we got to our table, the server went over the menu items and drinks. We placed our orders for drinks and appetizers. A few minutes later, we put in the order for entrees. The appetizers came out fairly quickly but the same cannot be said about our main meals. For the table, we ordered the chicken croquettes, brussel sprouts, and garlic bread. All of these items were decent but pricey for how much food they give you. Thank goodness we had appetizers because it took about an hour for our entrees to come out. I had the chicken Alfredo and Caesar salad. The Caesar was really tasty and had the right amount of seasoning. The Alfredo was just okay. It didn't blow my socks off and to be honest, I could have made this dish (better) at home, which is disappointing since this is supposed to be an Italian restaurant. Overall, the experience was just okay but I don't think I'll return unless I can get items cheaper for happy hour.

MIA is located in the domain and they were really accommodating to us. I brought my dog and we were able to sit outside and we got a table towards the back. We still got great service and they didn't forget about us. The food and drinks were really delicious. They specialize in tapas and they have a wide variety of items on their menu. We started with their arancini and scallops. Then we shared the braised lamb rigatoni with Brussels sprouts. We met the owner and he came around multiple times asking how our experience was and if we needed anything. He gave us the whole run down on the dish and the amount of labor and craft it takes just to create this one dish. All of the food we had was great and had some much flavor. I really recommend all of the dishes we had. This is a great date night spot and everything is easily shareable.

We were visiting family in Austin and had the opportunity to get out for a date night on New Year's Eve! We ordered way too much food but I have no regrets lol. The brussels sprouts and the confit carrots were full of flavor, the grilled shrimp was slightly underwhelming but omg the prosciutto bruschetta, the meatballs and the grilled bread were standouts for us. Everything was served nice and quickly and we had a really nice time! We'll definitely consider this place next time we're in Austin!

After giving our keys away we walked into what is a beautiful outside area at Juliet's. It's a nice mix of feeling like you're in downtown Austin but also not. We went inside to request two seats outside and this is unfortunately where everything fell apart. After being seated all the way at the very corner of the restaurant near the entrance, we didn't receive water for 15 minutes. In fact, we had to ask for water, as well as silverware, from a person who was cleaning a table- not a waiter. We didn't order until about 30 minutes after being seated. We noticed that others around us who were dressed nicer for the occasion were receiving service but we were not (jeans and a nice top as opposed to a dressy outfit). This is less of an accusation and more of an observation. It took another waiter noticing that we had not been served to come over and take our order, and that was 5 minutes after we had to flag down a busser to ask for water. The flip side of that whole first part is that the food was pretty good. We got complimentary table bread (after we asked for it since it never came before our main meal) that was soft and went well with the olive oil it came with. For our entrees we got the shrimp scampi and chicken parm. The shrimp scampi was fantastic and light with creamy and bold flavors in-between. The chicken parm was maybe the largest chicken cutlet we've seen given out at a restaurant. Not only was the cutlet massive but it was delicious as well with a nice, light breading and cheese on top. The spaghetti alongside it was a nice touch but this was a true chicken parm entree as it should be. We were offered a complimentary dessert as an apology for the miscues before we ate but turned it down (still good of them to offer). Leaving was easy as the valet was very attentive and quick to get our car. We wish we could say our time at Juliet's was perfect because the setting and food are very nice and a fun change of pace from the surrounding blocks. However, it's difficult to overlook the mistakes made from the jump. We noticed that another table next to us was also experiencing bad service and looked unhappy enough to leave in the middle of their meal/ We're always open to having good food again so hopefully the next time we're here things are different. Just an unfortunate bittersweet taste to what otherwise would have been a fantastic meal.
