The crown jewel of Miami Beach is the beach itself. Wide white sand beaches meet the clear waters of the Atlantic Ocean beckoning sun worshippers, waders, and swimmers. There are many beach front parks offering amenities like lifeguards, restrooms, and volleyball courts, fitness equipment showers, and playgrounds. Pay parking is available in area lots and along the street via kiosks and apps. One of my favorite things about the beach is the Miami Beach Boardwalk, a paved pathway that runs for seven miles, the length of Miami Beach. It begins at 87th terrace and Collins Ave at the border of Surfside and takes you south through North Beach, Mid Beach, and ending at the Ocean Drive Promenade in South Beach in South Pointe Park. Along the boardwalk are parks, hotels, condos, and restaurants. On one side you have a stunning view of the Atlantic Ocean and on the other, a front row seat to the hustle and bustle of Miami Beach. For the convenience of those traveling the boardwalk there are benches and water stations. You also often see people setting up tents and selling things like jewelry.

The State of Florida has so many better beaches. To me Miami Beach is sooo overrated. Mostly jam packed with out of state visitors all year round. Parking is very challenging, there's not much in the water as far marine life is considered. Just a party Beach, with families there on the off season. I believe most Floridians will echo my statement...

Awesome sunset at Miami Beach! That art deco backdrop brings all the funky charm. It's a whole vibe! One of those easy, beautiful moments :)

Miami Beach is an island city, connected by bridges to mainland Miami. It is known for its seven mile white sand beaches, boardwalk, palm trees, luxury hotels, art deco historic district and pastel coloured buildings, vibrant nightlife, bars and restaurants, waterfront parks, clubs, retail stores and shopping, beach activites and attractions, vibrant and diverse culture, and events happening regularly. The beach is beautiful as tourists and locals enjoy it all year round. There are lifeguard posts at the beach, refreshments for sale, and cops patrolling the area to ensure guests' safety. Be careful when you swim as there are areas of the ocean that have riptides, and occasional painful jellyfish sting. Do not leave unattended important personal belongings in the sand, as it might be wiped away by waves, or be stolen or forget where you put it. Keep an eye on your things. Overall, the beach is generally safe for tourists and locals alike. Check it out!

Beautiful beach! I was worried being in Miami the beach would be too busy and you wouldn't be able to enjoy it. I found it relaxing and very clean. We arrived on a Friday evening and took a stroll on the beach. There is a great boardwalk that goes along the beach to walk or bike. The next morning we went out to the beach before 10am. By our entrance they had umbrellas and chairs already set up that you could rent for the day. The beach was clean and the sand was soft. Water was warm but did get deep quickly for young children. There are lifeguard stands spread out along the beach.

I visited the mid-beach area. It was gorgeous. Very clean with soft, fine grain sand. Mid-beach in particular was super quiet and low key. It was very easy to find a spot to lay out and there weren't really any loud groups or people playing music. Hotels had umbrellas and chairs reserved for their guests all along the beach but there was still plenty of space for others. If you are looking for a livelier scene, south beach is probably a better bet.

Miami Beach is beautiful with gorgeous clear water and coastal breezes. There is also a boardwalk where you walk, jog, or ride a bike. Ocean Drive is the quintessential Miami strip next to the beach that you can walk along that offer restaurants, cafes, beach goers, art deco, and nightlife. You can rent chairs or umbrellas while you're at the beach but if you want to save money just bring a towel like my mother and I did. The beach was beautiful and it's a definite must see if you're in the Miami area.

This beach is GORGEOUS! The sand is a beautiful light color which is nice on the feet as it wasn't too hot. The water is crystal clear and amazing. Like a dream! There were many public areas where you can bring your own chairs and umbrellas. There were also areas where you could rent chairs and umbrellas. Leading into the beach area there is a boardwalk that expands the entire length of the beach. It has lots of foliage, trees for shade, public restrooms, walking paths to the beach, benchs, a workout area, etc. I appreciated the rubber mats that you can take on the sand to the beach area - it prevents sand in your shows and makes it very easy to walk on. This beach area is a dream with all the options it has with it. YOU MUST GO THERE ASAP! Noteworthy - we were there in September and there were lots of jellyfish everywhere! In the sand and in the water. This was the first time I've ever seen a live jellyfish and I was a bit apprehensive of getting stung.

Miami Beach is Absolutely Beautiful! We got there early last week Wednesday Morning so that I could start my birthday the right way -lol. The temperature was around the high 80's so it was great weather. Miami Beach is in walking distance as our hotel was a few blocks away from Ocean Drive. Miami has gorgeous Palm Trees as far as the eye can see and the ones at Miami Beach are so pretty. Bike riding is also enjoyable to do along the stretch. Miami Beach also has volleyball nets set up all across the entryway. Once we walked down 7th Street and cut across, we were able to get access to the beach entrance where our hotel representative (from The Good Times Hotel) was located in order to get the beach chairs. There were also games like Jenga, Bean Bag Games and Connect 4 set up to play. Because the hotel has some sort of package, there was no fee for the beach chair rentals - we definitely enjoyed this perk. When we got to the beach, we picked out two chairs closest to the water as possible to get a beautiful view. Miami Beach was peaceful, calm and serene that morning and the sand is soft. Fantastic to see lovely Blue Skies, people parasailing, surfing and taking in the sunny sights, etc. Although the beach has a massive amount of seaweed everywhere and it makes it difficult to actually get into the water at first, Miami Beach is lovely overall and it made for a nice experience. There is a cart on the beach where one can purchase snacks, etc. Umbrella rentals from the Boucher Brothers of South Beach are $20. Restrooms are closer towards Ocean Drive along w/ the outdoor shower areas to rinse off. You also get a good view of individuals using the outdoor exercise equipment nearest to the bathroom area. Miami Beach is closed from 10pm-5am.

Me! Enjoying the beautiful Miami Beach sunset.

My fave beach in the U.S of A. Being from LaLa land, the sand hurts, there is glass everywhere and the water is freezing cold. In Miami the sand felt so fine under my pretty feet and the water was warm omg! Of course there are much better beach outside of the states. But I'm referring to the states, hence this review. Of course there are restaurants, bars and clubs surrounding the beach, so it's super crowded and you really can't relax too much, unless you go during the down time of course. But whatever it is you're looking for in a beach, Miami is it and you're sure to enjoy yourself!

I was so excited about going to the beach. Unfortunately, an unusual winter storm hit the Miami area. The beach was closed. Very sad. I learned a lesson. Please check the weather forecast before your travel. This area is hurricane-prone. Even in winter, some of the unpredictable weather might hit!

Somehow this beach wasn't swamped on a Saturday late morning/midday. While driving in I did some brief research and found that parking in the 17th street parking garage was the best bet - with a 5 block walk to the sand. There is a large amount of hotels etc lining the beach which all have their own chairs and umbrellas and the ability to order food with guys who run the food out to you. The sand was white, the water green, a little bit of reef floaters in the water - and it was disappointing with the water being pretty warm. But - coming back to $6 for parking total and having a day on the beach was fine with me. Surprisingly painless and easy to negotiate.

Came here for memorial day weekend and it wasn't as packed as I thought it was going to be. I did take a little bit for us to find street parking, but we were lucky enough to find a good space after many turns, the water was very murky though maybe because of all the boats in the area
