There are palm trees, a little sandy beach area, and nice open spaces. What makes it even cooler is that the peaceful park sits right beside downtown Miami's tall buildings. You get a mix of nature and city views at the same time. Plus, there are plenty of good restaurants and bars nearby, so it's a nice place to hang out and enjoy the area. It is conveniently located right next door to the Perez and Frost museum. We headed here after visiting the museum, thinking this was a good spot for the kids to run around in before heading back. Getting picked up here with L yft was difficult- I don't recommend that!

From the moment I stepped on board, the woman who decorated the boat made me feel so special -- every detail was thoughtful, beautiful, and perfectly set up. One of the crew members was incredibly attentive, making sure all the snacks, drinks, and little touches were just right. Our captain was amazing, too. Smooth ride, great energy, and he made the whole experience feel safe, fun, and effortless. You could tell he loves what he does. Thank you, Mr. Sea, for making my birthday weekend one I'll never forget. Exceptional service from start to finish.

The inside where the kitchen was had a very bad smell! The boat was so out dated! The mat was torn! We had to lay our towels down to sit on bc the boat was so unsanitary! The leather was torn badly! We had to do our own leg work upon boarding (as in picking the captain) and etc. We was told to arrive a hour early just for us to be sitting in our cars! Do I recommend this boat or company! No! But if others want to rent choose Jorga for your captain, he was a vibe! Oh we was on the 40 ft Sea Ray! Abort mission do not rent this particular boat!

The Avalon boat was exactly like the pictures on the website and there was room enough for all 10 of us on board. Bring an iPod and a charger so you can DJ your own music and there was a cooler on board to store drinks etc. One of our friends kinda had some trouble swimming back to the boat due to the strong current and umm his current state and Captain Gabriel jumped in the water with a life jacket and saved him. :-) At the end of our rental, he even dropped us off at the Icon dock vs having to go all the way back to South Beach, very convenient! Would definitely sail with them again! We spent about 40 minutes crawling at around 2 mph and only got about 5 minutes of actual speed. The rest of the ride was painfully slow. Because the boat barely moved, there was no wind at all, and we were stuck sitting in the scorching heat. When we complained, the manager didn't even try to help. Instead, she started yelling at us. She first claimed that higher speeds were "illegal" in the area. Then she also told us that the captain was still learning to operate the boat, as if that somehow justified the experience. I honestly don't understand what that has to do with the time and money I paid for. Customers shouldn't be paying full price to be part of someone's training. This felt like false advertising and a complete waste of time and money. If you're expecting a real speedboat ride, avoid this company and book somewhere else.

I've been…read moreSUPing for over 10 years, I completed ACA level 1 and 2 SUP instructor training previously, and I taught basic SUP myself for 4 years. I needed to renew my ACA instructor certification and wanted to get WPA instructor certification, so I did an ACA Level 1 and 2 SUP workshop and WPA level 1 SUP instructor training/certification with TFY. Meghan is the best SUP instructor/instructor trainer I've had. She's obviously very knowledgeable, but more importantly, she's also awesome at conveying that knowledge. We covered a huge amount of information in the ACA L1/2 workshop, but she made it manageable and easily understandable. The welcome letter she sends prior to class is very helpful and lets you know what to bring, the schedule, and what to expect. Her videos are also extremely helpful to watch beforehand. I thought the ACA workshop would be largely review for me, but I was surprised by how much I learned. She's also very upbeat, encouraging, and patient, and her low-pressure approach creates the perfect environment for learning. She taught high school math for 9 years, and I think her background in education plus her SUP knowledge and skills make her an outstanding instructor and instructor trainer. I'm looking forward to returning for ACA L1/2 instructor certification training.
