The float tank is futuristic looking, all white and clean with blue glowy lights, and a voice that sounds like the Starship Enterprise. The water is warm and full of epsom salts, and particularly high in mineral magnesium. The machine is automated with music, lights, and self-cleaning. The experience was dreamy. I found myself adjusting my spine a lot in the beginning and consciously releasing unconsciously tense muscles. By the end, I wanted the full sensory deprivation experience by turning off the lights and music. Floating around in black silence is incredibly therapeutic and relaxing! I'd highly recommend this for anyone who is feeling overstimulated, such as new parents or if you just met a crazy deadline and want to unwind and re-centre yourself. I felt like I had a really good massage without the pressure. The owner, Eric, gave us an awesome intro and tour. He answered all of our questions. The facilities are great. After the session they clean and wipe everything down. They provide pretty much everything. I recommend bringing shower flip flops and body moisturizer. No one at Midnight Sun is pushy and they won't force their services on you (like other salons who push unneeded products or packages), but at the same time they are knowledgeable and professional of their services and tanning in general. Not a fan of the business ethics of the new owners. Under…read morethe old management, I bought a laser hair removal package of 10 treatments. When I arrived for treatment #6 in November of 2023, after the management changed, I was told that the laser machine was broken, and they didn't know when it would be ready (gee, thanks for *not* phoning me to let me know!). After not hearing from them for a couple of months, I went back at the end of January to inquire. I was told that the machine was SOLD in the fall to another business, that Midnight Body couldn't afford to offer laser hair removal anymore, and that the other business was honoring anyone who bought a package under the previous management. I was given an email address for the business that bought the machine. When I asked why the woman I talked to in November told me that the machine was broken, I got a shrug and a blank stare. So, basically, I was lied to when I showed up for my appointment in November. When I tried to use the email address for the business that bought the machine, it bounced back. So, I phoned Midnight Body and talked to (I think) Michelle, who seemed very frustrated that the email address for the other business wasn't working. She took my name and phone number and PROMISED she would work it out and get back to me (she was VERY adamant that she wouldn't forget me). That was in January....I'm still waiting for that call and it's May. So basically, these people don't have a great business ethic at all, they're liars all around. I wouldn't go to them for any other service they offer. Perhaps they should realize that when they buy out a business, they automatically assume a customer base, and they should be prepared to honour their customers. I'm out 1/2 the money I paid for these treatments.
