They have a parking garage and the sign said to enter from 2nd street. Not sure if it's always that way, but parking was free and the gates were already open. Once I parked, there were clear signs all around on where to vote. From the parking floor, to the floors inside the building, they were all taped well on the floor telling you where to go to vote. When I got to the voting area, there were several attendants that validated your voter identification and directed you with blank ballot to the appropriate voting machine. Checking in to vote was very professional, quick and efficient. I can't recommend this enough for those that don't want to wait until Election Day to vote. There are only a few more days to vote early, so if you prefer this option, I would recommend going soon. Next week they are even open on Sunday. March 11: 7:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. March 12: 7:30 a.m. - 8:30 p.m. March 13-15: 7:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. March 16: 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. March 17: 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. I appreciate everyone that made it so easy to vote. This is my second time voting here early. I believe the first time, because it was on a weekday, I did have to get a parking stub. However, I believe they did validate my parking stub. For most people, it probably will be farther than your voting day location. However, the convenience more than makes up for it. There's no excuse not to vote with all the options in Ohio! Get out and vote!

There is parking at the museum and then you can step over here for some history. On the front side, the marker reads, "William Howard Taft. Born here on September 15, 1857, William Howard Taft is the only American to have served as President and Chief Justice of the United States. His unique career of public service began after he graduated from Yale University and Cincinnati Law School. He became an Ohio Superior Court Judge at age 29. In 1892, he was appointed a judge of the United States Circuit Court of Appeals. In 1900, President William McKinley sent him to the Philippines as chief civil administrator. President Theodore Roosevelt named him Secretary of War in 1904, and he was elected president of the United States four years later. In 1921, President Harding named Taft Chief Justice, a position that he relished, serving until just before his death in 1930." And on the reverse, "Robert Alphonso Taft. Robert A. Taft, son of William Howard Taft, was born in Cincinnati on September 8, 1889, and graduated from Yale University and Harvard Law School. After serving in a number of administrative posts, he served in the Ohio Legislature from 1921 - 1932. Elected as a United States Senator in 1938, he served until shortly before his death in 1953. He rose to the rank of Senate Majority Leader and, in three separate presidential election cycles in 1940, 1948 and 1952, was a chief competitor for the Republican Party nomination. Taft emerged as a leading figure in the party's conservative wing. He was the co-sponsor of the Taft-Hartley Act of 1947, which sought equity between labor and business in collective bargaining. For his leadership, Senator Taft was given an honorary title of "Mr. Republican." It was erected in 2003 by The Ohio Bicentennial Commission and The Ohio Historical Society. . It is marker 43-31. On the front, "Salmon Portland Chase, a renowned lawyer and statesman, was born in Cornish, New Hampshire, on January 13, 1808. He came to Ohio in 1820 and attended Cincinnati College (1822-23). Chase returned to New Hampshire and graduated from Dartmouth College in 1826. He studied law under U.S. Attorney General William Wirt in Washington D.C. and was admitted to the bar in December 1829. He then moved back to Cincinnati and in September 1830 established his law office and residence on the first floor of a brick building that stood at the northeast corner of 3rd and Main Streets. Chase gained national recognition as an anti-slavery attorney and politician and by aiding in the organization of the Liberty, Free-Soil, and Republican parties. He served as a Cincinnati city councilman (1840-41), U.S. senator from Ohio (1849-55), and was the first Republican governor of Ohio (1856-60)." Responsible for financing the Civil War, he created the national banking system used until 1913, introducing the nation's first federal paper currency and the first federal income tax. Chase established the Bureau of Engraving and Printing and the Bureau of Internal Revenue (later renamed the Internal Revenue Service). He also opened the U.S. bond market to the general public. Chase resigned from office in June 1864. He then served as chief justice of the U.S. Supreme Court (1864-73) and presided over the impeachment trial of President Andrew Johnson in 1868. He died in New York City on May 7, 1873. He was originally buried in Washington D.C., but was later re-interred in Spring Grove Cemetery, Cincinnati, with his family, including daughter Kate Chase Sprague (1840-99), famous Washington socialite." My first trip was pleasant. There were two very friendly ladies working who chatted with me while she worked on putting postage on each package. I left feeling like I'd see them again and develop a friendly neighborhood relationship with them. Then this morning I went back to again mail packages as well as some letters for work. There was no one at the counter when I entered and the buzzer sent someone up front to help me. The gentleman took one look at my two bags and rolled his eyes. He asked me if they were all individual (what else would they be) and THEN removed the "station closed" sign that was on the counter. He begrudgingly went through my two separate orders and had me stamping my own letters to expedite the process (which I didn't mind). When some other customers came in behind and were waiting he remarked that they must be VERY patient. All I could think was god forbid I mail things at the post office. What was I thinking? I should have sent them with carrier doves. I left feeling like I was treated unreasonably and rudely.

The maintenance staff is very friendly and good at what they do. Plenty of lighting for the parking lot; grounds well maintained, and tree work is about to be done. Today, I voted early. This year, I had requested an absentee ballot (you know, cause the pandemic…read moreand all that). I think the decision to request an absentee ballot was made in a bit of a panic, and I later decided that I would have preferred to vote in person. I decided to bring my mail-in ballot with me and ask them if I could vote in-person instead. When I arrived, I saw the "early voting" sign upon entry. I also saw a line inside upon entering and started to get in line, it turns out that line was for drivers licenses. After finding the early voting area, I talked to a staff member and asked them about voting in-person instead of using my mail-in ballot. Be warned, I was told that because I had already requested my mail-in ballot, I could not vote in-person and should just fill out the ballot and drop it in the box on-site. While it wasn't my preference (I'm not sure why, just a mental thing I suppose), that was fine with me. I filled out the rest of my ballot, and dropped it into the box. The woman at the desk was kind enough to help me seal the envelope. There was no line for early voting and it seemed pretty seamless. I did see someone wearing a politically-affiliated face mask advocating for a candidate in the polling area. I'm not sure if the same rules apply to this place not on Election day, but I'm pretty sure you can't do that (and think something should have been said). Regardless, with the process this easy, there's no excuse to not have your voice heard. Think of yourself, your loved ones, and go make your voice heard. VOTE!!!!!!
