The locals and the older generation know this spot. It's a no frills spot for some of the best clam knife cut noodle soup. Fresh clams paired with the delicious broth and the kimchi is a match made in heaven. Other dishes here are also very good.

Although this spot is primarily visited by older people, it's one of my favorite spots of their pork kimchi jungol! We always get it when we come here. Every time I come here, I do try new items; however, I wasn't really a fan of it besides the jungol. Service is nice and fast, and their restaurant is kept clean. I recommend trying them out at least once if you're in k-town!

Classic Korean comfort food!! This place gives off such comfy home cooking vibes, like when you go to grandma's house and just know that the food is going to be good. It's simple, no frills, nothing fancy...just really really good. Clam Kalguksu ($17.99)-- The soup is so well seasoned yet clean and light. The anchovy and clam base is strong and well flavored, not too bland or not too salty, just perfect. I love how the soup is clear and not starchy like some places where the noodles/potato starch thickens the soup. The clams they're generous with and cleaned well (no sand or grit in any of them). Noodles are cooked well! It just made for such a comforting bowl. Seasoned Thistle (Gondre) Rice ($17.99)-- It's vegetarian but really sooooooo good. A dish has to be really good for me to order it over a meat option. The seasoned thistle is a type of vegetable... wouldn't say it has a distinct taste but it just mixes well with the rice. The sauce is salty, savory, umami and just made it so easy to finish the whole bowl of rice. It comes with a cabbage soup that's made with I think beef bone and seasoned with white pepper. Banchan personally was whatever but the main dishes were just so perfect I can't even be mad. Aunties are very nice and fast with service. Just raise your hand and they'll come to you, otherwise they leave you alone to enjoy your meal.

It was so hot outside when we went, but the hot clam kalguksu was surprisingly refreshing and comforting! The broth was rich and flavorful, and the noodles were perfectly cooked. We also ordered the summer special cold acorn jelly soup (muk-sabal), and it was absolutely delicious. The portion was very generous, and everything tasted fresh and satisfying. Such a great spot for both hot and cold dishes -- highly recommend!

I came here on with a group of 5 via car on a Sunday evening late February 2026. Parking was easy and all free. They have their own lot in the plaza they're in but if that fills up, there's also a free parking structure at the ktown galleria just west of it, right across (they close the garage doors at a certain point but left one entrance open for us to get in and leave from). The banchan was really good. Kimchi was spicy and sufficiently funky. We got the Spicy Seafood Noodle Soup, Clams Noodle Soup, Kimchi Tofu Casserole, and Kimchi pancake. Food was very good. The highlight were the Kimchi pancake and the Spicy Seafood Noodle Soup. A ton of flavor - definitely hit the spot on a cold LA evening. We had a Korean with us so the service was great. Have not been here without having a Korean friend with us, but they seemed nice enough. They refrigerated a birthday cake for us and did not charge us an extra fee. Would recommend if you're in the area and craving something soupy in cold weather.

I finally made it to Miari Noodle House after hearing that a lot of Korean celebrities eat here whenever they're in LA -- and let me just say, the hype is REAL. From the moment the banchan hit the table, I knew this was going to be good. The barley rice with vegetables instantly took me back to childhood. It's simple, nostalgic, and so comforting -- the kind of side dish that makes you feel at home before the main dishes even arrive. The 물밀면 (mul milmyeon) completely makes sense as one of their most popular items. The broth is icy, refreshing, slightly tangy, and incredibly clean-tasting. The noodles have the perfect chew, and it's the kind of dish that's especially satisfying if you want something light but still flavorful. We also tried the 칼제비, which is a combination of hand-pulled dough and noodles in a comforting broth. This dish felt like a warm hug -- hearty, filling, and deeply satisfying without being too heavy. The texture contrast between the noodles and the pulled dough makes it extra special. And the 곤드레 비빔밥 paired with spicy 아구찜? Absolutely insane. The gondre (wild vegetable) adds an earthy depth to the bibimbap, and the spicy braised monkfish brought bold heat and serious flavor. Everything tasted authentic and thoughtfully prepared.

There were so many Korean dishes here that I hadn't tried before, like the braised monkfish bean sprouts. The sauce on the noodles was so good, almost reminded me of a marinara. We also got the mung bean pancake, which was really crispy on the outside. The menu is pretty big, and I loved that they have photos of the dishes on the walls. It made it super easy to decide what to order, especially if you're not familiar with everything. It did get pretty packed around 6-ish, so expect a crowd during dinner time. Parking was free with their underground parking, which was a big plus.

You know it's gonna be good when you walk in and it's full of Korean seniors. We got the clam kalguksu and cold noodles. The clams tasted fresh and I liked that there were no closed shells. The kalguksu could probably feed two people since it felt like a lot for one meal. I was a little bummed that they couldn't make it spicy, but it was still good. The cold noodles were refreshing, but nothing to write home about for me. The service was friendly and quick. Parking is tight. You'd have better luck parking in the neighborhood than in the parking lot.

The food here was incredible and reminds me of Korea. The ladies running this place are welcoming and helpful. we had the clam noodle soup, mandu, and kimchi anchovy kalguksu (Korean hand cut noodles). Their portion sizes are huge too - definitely a great homey spot with great service and food.

Came here after hearing a lot about it, and honestly... one visit is not enough The menu has way too many things I want to try, so I already know I am coming back. First off, the staff. Very no-nonsense, super efficient, and everything came out fast. Kind of that classic Korean spot energy, which I liked The kimchi clam kalguksu was Spicy, comforting, and the portion was huge. Definitely hits if you want something warm and bold. The suyuk platter was also really good. Different cuts of pork, all tender and flavorful. But the real star was the broth on the side... seriously next level. Perfect with soju ‍ Just one sip and it keeps going. And the dumplings... I am a dumpling person, so I do not say this lightly. They were packed, clean-tasting, and super satisfying. No shortcuts. Honestly, this place just feels like somewhere you keep coming back to. Already planning to go back soon and do a full food run

My mom's favorite and my sister's early morning go to...Opens at 8am!!! Solid and well known for fresh fried fish!! Clam Kal kook soo!! Broth and fresh clams are ridiculously good!! Known for the kimchi!!! Exceptionally low great pricing and staff so friendly, welcoming and accommodating!! Small corner restaurant inside an even smaller strip mall with very limited parking but highly recommended!!

Living in East L.A., whenever I drive to K-town , I have to hunt down some real Korean food I can't find anywhere else. This time I was so happy I tried Miari Noodle House. First win--it has plenty of parking , which is already rare in K-town. As soon as I sat down, the biggest surprise was the banchan. Besides the usual kimchi, they served their own beef side dish and even barley rice . Honestly, that spread alone already felt so filling. Even though it's called a noodle house, the menu has way more than just noodles. The dumplings were stuffed and homemade , not the frozen kind. The pancake was crispy and flavorful , and they even helped cut it for us. Then came the dishes I was most excited about: the clam noodle soup and the ox knee soup . Both were clean yet so flavorful--perfect for someone like me who enjoys lighter Asian tastes. And since my husband wanted spice , we tried the stir-fried octopus --fresh, chewy, and packed with flavor. Definitely a K-town spot worth coming back to! IG : socalhkfoodies

It's a hidden restaurants where a lot of Korean grandmas and grandpas go. Even my grandparents like this place. They have good home-style Korean food that you won't see at other restaurants.

What seemed like a deceptively simple bowl was one of the most delicious and flavorful meals I've had - I'll be thinking about my bowl for a long time. I got the plain kalgaksu, mainly because it included pork potstickers. The anchovy broth isn't fishy (which I was concerned about), it's deep and full in a way that's hard to describe. It penetrates the noodles and potatoes well. The broth is similar if not the same between most bowl types. The cold noodles were also delicious, which a couple of my friends ordered. Quite large portions, as just about everyone had to take some home. They also have bibimbap if you're craving a rice based meal instead. I can't wait to come back - maybe not on a Saturday night next time so I don't have to look so long for parking!

I have no idea how much valet parking is here. We were a small party of two. Upon arrival, we were notified they were out of RICE. Um..what?? That's a good problem (for them to have) but not for consumers. I feel this really limited our options to just soup. I honestly didn't want soup but there wasn't much else we could order. If you're searching for some of the city's best pork, then those in the know will bring up Ham Ji Park. For 2 decades, generous platters of pork ribs and pork neck stew decked every table. Now, our Korean friends lament the loss of their favorite pork joint in the city. The Koreatown proper location is located in the Royal Plaza mini-mall, just a few blocks off bustling Wilshire. Discounted parking is available in a lot across the street from the Chevron gas station. From the street, the entrance is flanked by potted plants and an enclosed street-ery. Inside, stainless steel chairs are pressed up against wooden tables, each outfitted with a metal grill. Oppressive fluorescent lighting shines down on the stone grey walls, which are left undecorated apart from a few flatscreens. Multi-lingual chatter blends with the sizzle of platters. I visited with some friends for a weeknight dinner, and about half of the tables were occupied. We shared a spread of grilled platters and sizzling soups. The meal began with a carafe of barley tea and a mostly standard spread of banchan. Across our food, the best dish was the signature Charbroiled Pork Spare Rib. The ribs were flavorful without feeling gamey, and the meat was complemented by sweet caramelized onions. The pork ribs handily outdid the good-not-great Charbroiled Beef Short Rib. Lastly, the Milt and Cod Rose with Vegetables stew was fishy and briny, appropriately flavored for the Korean palate. The service was appropriately attentive, although I would've appreciated more intentional refills of our banchan ramikens. The rib plates cost upward of $35 each, while the soup was just under $30. The portions were hearty; a single entree platter could reasonably feed 2 moderately hungry bellies. It's a shame to hear that Ham Ji Park has closed; I'm kicking myself for not trying their pork neck stew earlier.

We enjoyed the Large Beef Combo. There were 5 of us, but my grandaughter is a vegetarian. The meat, all the sides, the service, the atmosphere, everything was perfect. As for my grandaughter, she found plenty to eat that allowed her to enjoy the experience as well. I would recommend Ahgassi Gopchang to everyone. At least try it once. You will keep coming back.

The service, however, was outstanding and definitely one of the highlights of our visit. If it's your first time visiting, finding the entrance can be a little confusing. We parked on the street and spent a few minutes trying to figure out where to go. For anyone visiting, it's much easier to enter through the parking lot, where the restaurant entrance is located. The banchan (side dishes) were quite good, and I really enjoyed the atmosphere inside. The decor was fun and unique, making the dining experience feel more special. Overall, the food was good, the service was excellent, and the ambiance was enjoyable. I'd come back, especially for the service and the overall experience.
