My friend suggested we try this place and I'm so glad we did! As the sign suggests "Southern Comfort Food" and they have it aplenty. Anything southern you could want. My friend had the chicken fried steak with real baked beans, not the fake ones some restaurants try to pass off and mashed potatoes with gravy; side note: their gravy is jalapeño gravy and I have mixed feelings about that, but my friend said it was good.... I'll take her word on that. I had a "Sides Plate" their version of a veggie platter, with Mac-n-cheese, sweet potato fries and hang on to your seats folks..... creamed corn! Yep you read that right.... creamed corn! The M&C was creamy delicious as were the SP fries and the creamed corn was top notch it was a bit on the peppery side as they seem to use white pepper so beware to the young and elderly who may be sensitive to pepper. They also have a free ice cream cone station which I was entirely too full to hit up. I highly recommend a trip out to check them out whenever you're looking for some good comfort food. Happy Eating!

    Country Fried Steak

I don't know what's the definition of southern food here but places like IHOP and Denny's can do some of these dishes better...the only the good thing is that my country fried steak were made fresh because it was hot. The crust however doesn't even stick on the steak itself and it was definitely excess of batter where some pieces doesn't even have any meat in it. Also the steak itself was dry so to speak. Furthermore ordering a cheeseburger with omitting some of the ingredients and ended up just getting a plain dry cheeseburger even if it wasn't instructed otherwise. If you are actually looking for southern comfort food this is not it.

The food was really fresh, chicken fried chicken freshly fried, gravy and the coleslaw had great flavor! Priced reasonably as well. I did have to ask the staff to check on my food as others who ordered after me had already received theirs. Other than that I loved the experience. Wasn't able to try the free soft serve as the machine wasn't finished churning the ice cream

If you're looking for a consistently good chicken fried chicken and chicken fried steak, Mia's table is the place. The pieces are massive, I just wish the jalapeño gravy had a little more..jalapeño presence but overall a solid gravy. I wasn't expecting to be such a big fan of the green beans, but they have a really nice Smokey flavor that just does it for me. The baked beans are good too.

    Yum!

As we walked in we were greeted and seated on a timely manner. So that was already a go! It's country and it's clean. Hubby and I came in on a Saturday afternoon to have lunch. We both ordered friend chicken with some sides like coleslaw and sweet potato fries. We both enjoyed and will come back again!

Mia's is a family favorite from the excellent food to the fun and friendly environment and staff. Some of our faves are: chicken fried chicken, salmon Asian salad(!!!), the ribeye, sweet potato fries, the naughty nachos, and the free ice cream cone is awesome! We haven't ever tried anything we don't like- at any location!! Enjoy!

An outing with my grand niece and my wife and daughter. We started off with chips and queso and this stuff was addictive! I was worried about the chip to queso ratio, being left with too much queso and no chips. But it turned out perfect. My daughter had ordered a patty melt, my wife got a loaded baked potato and I ordered a Hot Bob with jalapeños and pepper jack cheese. Oh and a kid's cheeseburger for my grand niece (with pickles on the side for the wife.) First up the Little Mavericks cheeseburger. I didn't eat it and neither did my grand niece. No judgement I'm sure it was fine. My wife liked her baked potato and the pickles. I tried it and it's a baked potato. The large bits of bacon were very good. My Hot Bob with Pepper Jack cheese was delectable. The burger was juicy and sloppy but the bun held firm until the end. That's a perfect burger according my scale. The jalapeño and pepper jack added the perfect amount of heat. My daughter said the patty melt was good but Whataburger's is better. I tried a nibble and kind of agree, but I'll hold my opinion until I get a proper bite! The server was nice and accommodating and very attentive. She offered a "To Go" container for the uneaten Little Maverick cheeseburger before I even asked. Creekwood Grill is in my neighborhood. Thankfully our table was ready when we arrived. We were seated immediately and ordered appetizers of boneless buffalo strips. They were giant and piping hot. Could have been a meal. My son ordered extra fries and husband ordeeed sweet potato fries. Everyone enjoyed their food. The only negatives: no garlic bread. They have many pasta dishes, would be easy to add. I used the bread on the table to eat with my pasta. A nice French bread would have worked. The parking, not really their fault but lot of people park in their lot to go to the outlet stores. We drove around 10 mins looking for a spot. Will definitely return, lots of things on the menu and their portion sizes are amazing. We didn't get dessert but I love their cakes and cheesecake.

I love the seating and interior, but the best thing about The Cheesecake Factory is the variety offered in their extensive menu and the quality of the food. This one fits the bill. It was a shopping day with the wife and daughter with lunch at The Cheesecake Factory. We started off with the Egg Roll Sampler Appetizer and it was a great start. The variety of tastes was the star of the show mixing and matching, trying to find the best sauce ratio. My favorite was the chicken taquito. My wife loved the cheeseburger and I can't fault her for it because they were great. Obviously my wife has great taste. My daughter said the Avocado egg roll was the best. I tried it and hated it, AVOCADOS ARE GROSS! For our entrees my daughter got the Seared Tuna Tataki Salad, my wife ordered the soup (cream of chicken) and salad with Caesar dressing. I decided to try something new and got the Steak Diane (woo hoo retro.) My daughter's Seared Ahi Tuna Salad was fantastic. The tuna was cooked well, though it could've been a bit more fatty. The salad was fresh and crisp and the dressing was bright and tangy with undernotes of sesame oil. My wife's soup and salad was great. The soup was homey and reminiscent of a rich pot pie. The Caesar dressing on the salad was spectacular. It was creamy and tangy just like Caesar should be. Now for my Steak Diane, I'm so glad I decided to try something new. You know, take me back to the fancy restaurants of the mid century because this dish was divine. The steak was in bite sized pieces but cooked perfectly. I loved the richness of the Diane sauce and the crisp mushrooms. For desert we had the Pineapple Upside Down cheese cake. It was delicious, a wonderful sweet desert that was the perfect light and airy end to a heavy lunch. I recommend The Cheesecake Factory in Cypress if you're in the area. Or if you're looking for someplace that feels special and fancy but you want to know it's going to not disappoint. And do yourself a favor and order something new, it's worth it. Almost forgot the drinks- My daughter got a Bloody Mary. I didn't try it because BLOODY MARYs are gross. I got the Spanish Old Fashioned. I think I like this better than a regular Old Fashioned. It was rich and smoky, the cold brew added a velvety chocolate taste. The orange peel notes were perfect and it had a good mouth feel. Simply amazing

When it showed up I was amazed by the large pile of food. As I began to eat though, I started to get disappointed. I cut into my fried egg expecting it to run all over my plate, but it seems like it was cooked somewhere between over medium and over hard. I was looking for tasting the hot honey, which appears to be under the dish as opposed to on top of it. I was looking forward to a soft fluffy biscuit, but it too was over hard. The Chicken was well cooked, a bit thin, and I'm not sure that the breading tasted anything more like Captain crunch than it did any other breading. However every time I cut into it the breading kind of just fell off into the gravy. The gravy and potatoes were redeeming, with good flavor gravy and well cooked potatoes. Overall, it wasn't bad, I ate it all, I just expected better for my $17.

Girlfriend and I decided on not doing a fancy meal for Valentine's day and we planned to stay in since the weather was gonna turn drastic later. But upon seeing Pluckers advertise $1 wings and $2 drafts for Valentine's day, we hopped in the car and drove to this location. We usually go to the Memorial or Shepherd locations since they are closer to us but they are always packed and figured they would be on this day as well. Upon arrival, we snagged a parking spot right in front of the restaurant which had us thinking we'd get a table easily. Sadly upon arriving, we we're told there would be a 45-50 minute wait (I guess people love wings on V-Day). While discouraged, we decided on the bar hoping there would be seats and luckily we found a spot in front of a couple tvs, plopped down, ordered some beers, then placed our wing order. Like any Pluckers, you come for three things: drinking, wings, and sports. And we got all of those here. The $2 drafts were for bud light only so the girlfriend tried that while I went with my usual miller lite in the large mugs. They also have specialty cocktails here that I may try sometime (Tuesdays is cocktail special night) but I always seem to trend towards beer when I'm here since it goes well with wings. Wings here are fried, drenched in their signature sauce(s), and with ranch/bleu cheese. Go-to flavors are cajun, goldrush, and chipotle bbq. And for $1 per wing at 10 minimum order, I was in heaven with my 20 piece. As for sports, it was mainly olympics playing but due to the weather, the tvs did not have connectivity so I watched mainly the tvs that had the whole "Why people love Pluckers so much" clips on repeat. It was heartwarming hearing peoples stories (customers and employees) about what Pluckers means to them and why they love coming/working here. It seems like a fun atmosphere to work as the bartenders have good banter going. Should I be in Cypress again, I'd be glad to roll in here for my wings/drinks/sports hankering.

From the moment we entered, we were treated like special guests. The ambiance is rich, but not overdone or stuffy. Simply classic and relaxing. Our booth felt private and unhindered by conversations of nearby diners or wait staff bustling past. Our cocktails were perfect. The calimari we ordered as an appetizer was probably the most tender and delicious either of us have ever had. And when our burgers arrived, I was so happy. It was exactly what I had set my mind on when selecting my birthday dinner experience. The blend of brisket and chuck was absolutely delicious, set atop a perfectly buttered toasted bun, with some crispy onion straws on top. And the fries... oh my! It was the perfect finish to an already amazing meal. Thank you to the entire staff at The Chefs Table yesterday, for helping to create a memorable and delicious birthday feast for my husband and me.
