I have 3 boys, 19, 13 and 5 and have never had anything but positive expierences there. My oldest "graduated" from pediatrics, but he loved it and the younger 2 do as well. They are especially good at listening to (and not dismissing) what parents have to say and AWESOME at helping kids who are scared. The rooms are all decorated beautifully and themed (there's a UGA themed room that even my 13 year old loves!). I recommend them whenever anyone asks about pediatricians in the area.

Thankfully I have a ppo. The majority of the appt the nurse and Dr are filling out paperwork and don't even do thorough physical exams. It's like they just exist, no questions about diet, environment. The bar is so low here and they're rude! Ga has the worst healthcare in the country and it shows! The staff is rarely on time and gets upsets when you speak up. They cover for each other. The Dr rarely saw my children and when I complained that I did not want the NP seeing him bc she took a picture of his private and then we never heard back, my family was dismissed. I emailed the Dr about this and never heard back to even aknowledge what her employee did. The office released my 18 year olds records without his consent over EMAIL to me! ( a hipaa violation) The DR never reached out and now almost a year later they keep contacting me to go there. Abby the rudest and most clueless front desk person was simply appalled that I would be upset that they keep contacting me after this incident. Does anyone here understand how communication, cause and effect works? Duh!! I'd be upset. If I was so terrible that you dismissed me without any explanation why wouldn't you black list me from the distribution list. Inefficient and dumb! If they contact me again i will report them to osha and hipaa as well as contact my insurance co and bbb -+ contact attorney.

Which is certainly a plus when you're feeling at your worst. I truly adore him and I take any chance I can get to refer him. It would be shameful for me to not share such a blessing. I don't feel rushed when he's talking to me. He's genuinely concerned. Dr Mayur quickly and correctly diagnosed me. I could go on and on. It is a busy office which is understandable. My wait time has never been more than 30 minutes. Keep your appointments, if not it could be a month or two before fitting you back in the schedule.

Dr. Mayur *endocrinologist* was great.. calm... soft spoken.. and generally interested in my health.. which after numerous Dr visits is hard to find..and was even willing to listen to my self diagnoses!! i would def. recommend him!!! on the downside.... his office staff is seriously slacking!!! whether its a lack of staff or disorganization... i don't know.. i waited almost 3-4 weeks calling everyday to try to reach someone and was told numerous times someone would call me back about a test i was sched. to take.. which they never did!well after 3 weeks i ended up going in there and found that indeed my appt. had been sched. but they FAILED to call me to tell me when the appt. was!! needless to say i was a tad bit pissy.. if you can get over the staff .... go see Dr. N!!!

My concerns are addressed and I am listened to as a parent. My daughter feels comfortable conversing with the staff. Honestly, my kiddo is healthy overall. We have more frequent visit during the spring and cold and flu season, but we are seen quickly. The cons: I don't have a single one.

Well,…read morenow I know you don't need a lactation consultant through your pediatrician, you can easily see one from the hospital you delivered at. Also, lactation visits are free through most insurances, but East Cobb CHARGES YOU a doctor visit when you see Barbara. Supposedly a doctor reviews the visit notes, but I never interacted with any doctor in conjunction with my visits to her, so this sure seems like a money grab. The good: Barbara has a wonderful disposition and is so caring that she even gave me a cell phone number I could text her at with questions, which I did twice and she answered quickly both times. Very passionate. The bad: They don't have a scale that is accurate to the gram, so you can't do weighted feeds if you're trying to exclusively breastfeed. This made it tough to address a weight issue we had. They were also pretty quick to prescribe reflux medicine, which I'm not sure was medically validated looking back. It's always frustrating trying to figure out how much spit up is normal vs too much. They were hoping this would also help with the weight gain, but I'm not super happy with the level of problem solving and looking for other solutions that we saw from them. We ended up finding another pediatrician. Another caution with Barbara: in at least some cases, she does not seem to keep up with modern recommendations. Our child had breast milk jaundice and we worked so hard for weeks to keep him in by a sunny window (unswaddled! So he couldn't sleep well unless held!!) only to find out this is not recommended anymore as the level of light they receive is not enough to help.
