A very important addition to the team is a good CPA for our accounting needs including tax filings and tax planning. Some people like working with small firms or even single CPA firms. We prefer to work with a larger firm with depth of experience and knowledge that stays on top of the latest changes in tax laws and strategies. Also they work with many real estate investors so they have expertise in the areas that we need most. While the smaller firms may be lower cost, we have had some fairly complex issues to be dealt with and we're confident that our CPAs at DKSS, Laura Arens and Susan Virgin, were able to efficiently solve any problems for us. And I know that they regularly save us much more than what we pay for their services.
