She takes the time to really listen and focuses on the root of the issues. She focuses heavily on balance, giving myself grace, and sustainability when suggesting changes I can make that may help, instead of suggesting 180 degree life overhauls. I have suffered from disordered eating for my entire life and since being in her care I have developed such a better relationship with food and my health and my body. I was hesitant to go to this location because it's a bit of a drive out to the east end. It's where my urologist scheduled me because his office is in this hospital building. When first driving up to this place, it's intimidating. After seeing the way the hospital is laid out, you'll understand why they deserve 5 stars. Most hospitals are a maze of services. It's extremely easy to get lost. Could you possibly enter the maze and never return? Possibly. Not with this Baptist Health location. The layout is simple. There are 4 or 5 floors. Each floor has one hallway that terminates at each end. Each end has restrooms and/or elevators. One floor has a small cafeteria that comes in handy. Each floor is the exact same with different services. Do you need an x-ray? Go to this floor, walk down the hall until you find the x-ray sign. Do you need some other type of service? Go to this floor, walk down the hall until you find that service sign. Are you seeing a specialty doctor? Go to this floor, walk down the hall until you find their office. This hospital won me over with its simplicity. Now if only healthcare costs could be made this simple. It's one thing for you to get 350 different bills for 200 different services. It's entirely another thing to throw you in the whirl of a hospital with 20 entrances and 500 corners. At Baptist East part of the confusing healthcare world is eliminated.

I hated to move because Dr. Hammad's office was just close and convenient however when I have to take a whole day off from work to be seen that kind of throws convenient out the window. So I picked a doctor over in Powderly at the clinic. Mandy Newman is her name. I will see her every time I go in so I don't have to see a different dr or nurse practitioner. My appointment was at 9:00, she was at my office door at 8:59, I was out of there by 9:20, had labs and urine test done and was out by 9:38. I mean come on that is freaking awesome. She also informed me that I was not required to take a drug screen every couple months like I had been doing and paying for at Hammad's...they are only required once a year plus she wrote my prescriptions for 6 months at a time so I only have to see her twice a year unless I am sick.....I can't say good enough things about this woman. No unnecessary charges, quick in and out appointment, everything needed is on site and she listened and understood what I was trying to tell her so I never have to go back over my entire life history every time I go in because I see someone different!!!

My husband just recently passed away and the whole office including the doctor sent a sympathy card. I've never been to such a caring Drs office before. I have also not had any issues with insurance or payments.

Dr. Sweet refused to help me get a CPAP machine because I had gained weight and hadn't been taking my meds. Here is a list of some of the possible effects of sleep apnea, taken from WebMD: High blood pressure Stroke Heart failure, irregular heart beats, and heart attacks Diabetes Depression Worsening of ADHD I already suffer from four of the conditions on that list, but because I am in a tough spot mentally and not "with the program," not to mention FAT, he won't help me? This judgmental and pissy response to my asking for his help has destroyed my respect for this doctor.
