As I was looking for a doctor who is trained in Integrative medicine for my family, I had some basic questions as to whether the doctor was taking patients only with serious illnesses or otherwise healthy and also insurance. She basically did not know any answers and instead chose to read something repeatedly that really did not answer these simple basic questions. She then got annoyed when I pointed this out to her and asked if someone could get back to me with answers by saying that she had already answered my questions. She then had a poor attitude with me and showed clearly her annoyance with me. It was quite frustrating at this point so I decided to end this comical call. So I wasted my valuable time and got the worst impression of a doctor's office ever with this person. But perhaps they have so much business that they can have her behave this way? I mean really - at $350 consultation fee plus $175 thereafter that she said most insurance won't cover, I guess they are doing extremely well! They say you can judge a book by its cover and often, office staff can make or break your practice as good doctors know.

As anyone who's read my other reviews will know, I always have to preface medical reviews by saying that I've been a nurse for over 20 years and tend to be pretty critical of healthcare in general, so a 3-star rating for this office would be a 4-star rating for anything non-medical. Just to provide some perspective...... Getting an appointment with Dr. Fry can sometimes be a challenge, and his office staff are not the friendliest people on the planet. They've never been overtly rude, but just kind of abrupt. However, as I've sat waiting in the waiting room I've overheard multiple phone calls that appear to be from long-time patients (apparently HIPAA rules don't apply here) who seem to have a good rapport with the staff, so maybe we just haven't broken the ice yet. The waiting room itself is pretty small, and I had to laugh at the signs taped to the walls telling you to please sit up straight in the chairs....to improve your posture but also to make the chairs last longer. I can honestly say I've never seen that before in a doctor's office! Be prepared to wait a while, as I've yet to see him run on schedule. Our longest wait was about 45 minutes, but typically it's only about 15 minutes past our appointment time. The actual amount of time spent with Dr. Fry has never been more than 10 minutes, and that's a LONG visit, so I can only assume that his other patients are more complex and require more of his time. As for Dr. Fry himself.....he's a bit too casual for my tastes, but it works for my son. His general appearance is reminiscent of a college stoner who's just rolled out of bed. He's very direct and kind of "jokey" with his instructions, but he gets his point across and does listen to what you're telling him. Like I said, this is a little too casual for me, but for a 19 yr old boy it's just what he needs to make him feel comfortable and open up to talk to him. So if my son is happy and getting good care, I'm happy.....end of story.

I waited for about 10-15 minutes in the waiting room before being seen. There were about 10 people ahead of me so amazing timing on getting in. Once I got called tarra took me to my room immediately and got me started she asked all the right questions and had amazing bed side manner. She made sure I was taken care of and felt supported and comfortable. Dr. PETRE came in within a 5-10min time frame after I got them my X-rays he was polite laid back and ready to hear my issues and give me a potential solution. He asked me questions and broke down what my issue is in the simplest terms to make sure I was truly able to understand what was going on with my knee. He gave me two solutions and answered questions before I could ask them. Also amazing bed side manner I truly appreciate their assistance and help. The girl at the front desk I didn't get her name but she was very polite and friendly to all the patients. She made sure everyone's bad day turned good.

For weeks, I made multiple attempts to provide important information related to my upcoming procedure, including submitting my current medications exactly as instructed on the preparation paperwork. Despite leaving messages and following their process, I received no acknowledgment or timely response. For a medical office, this level of neglect and poor communication is unacceptable. When I finally called to follow up, instead of addressing my concerns professionally, the staff member I spoke with became defensive and combative regarding the office's failure to respond. The call ultimately ended with the phone being hung up on me. At no point was there any ownership, apology, or concern shown for the lack of patient communication. This experience has seriously impacted my confidence in this practice. Patient care does not begin and end with the procedure itself -- communication, professionalism, responsiveness, and accountability are equally important. Unfortunately, this office failed in all of those areas. Two days later he did emergent surgery on my complicated case and I woke up very happy to find I did not have a colostomy bag! He did this procedure just before he was going on vacation. To my surprise he called me on his vacation while I was still in the hospital to see how I was doing and to check on a test he had ordered!! His manner is calm, competent, and thorough. Subsequent visits have been the same: the waiting room might have many patients, but when it's my turn to be in the office, I feel like I have the time I need to talk to him about my concerns. I have never felt rushed in my appointments, and because I am not feeling pressured about time, I am better able to express my concerns and have a productive, efficient visit. I don't get rushed out of the office thinking, "Shoot, I meant to ask about this..." By the way, you might get his answering machine sometimes when you call the office to make an appt., but they always return my calls very quickly -- last time they called me back within about 15 minutes.
