It's 2:30am on May 3rd, only a couple of hours after the hyped up Mayweather. vs. Pacquiao fight on May 2nd that filled the city of San Juan with massive night life activity. Somehow Michael Taxi Service still manages to picks us up to go out to explore the night scene. He says "10 minutes". This man must be a superhero because during my 8-day stay in Puerto Rico, there was NEVER an hour or day that he couldn't give us a ride. Now I look at the business card he gave us, it says "24 Horas." That explains a lot. He's 24 hours. If you're looking for quick and easy taxi rides to get through San Juan and around to different restaurants and places, give Michael a try! He's super nice with fast service. Call him and you can even text him where you are and where you need to go. His taxi fares range from $10-$20 per ride. Example: To get from our San Juan hotel to Old San Juan Nuyorican Cafe it was $15 bucks there and $15 back. Tips: Always have CASH and CHANGE when taking taxis in Puerto Rico. If your fare is $15 and you give him a $20, he might need change and is willing to pull over to a place to give you $5. Note: I did NOT use Michael for airport pickup service. He offered many suggestions for places to eat on a late and slow Sunday night. He was efficient and not that pricey either. Well he text and talked on his phone the entire 10 min $25 dollar ride to our hotel. My husband and I used this service this morning for an early flight out of SJU. The process couldn't have been easier! I called the afternoon before, confirmed the time for pickup . (They really are 24 hrs, our pickup was 4:30am) A few minutes after I got of the phone I received a friendly text with our pickup time. Fast forward to the next morning. He was early! With a welcoming "I'm here for you!" The ride was pleasant and smooth. Until I got to the airport and had left my phone in the can and started to panic! The service began before we even took a step onto a plane. All We had to do was give Michael our flight number and service, and when We arrived at 2 in the morning, he was there waiting for us. Michael told us that his phone is always on and there wouldn't be a time where We couldn't reach him. After 5 days in San Juan We realized that he was right! Whether it was 9 in the morning or 4 at night We always had a ride. On top of that, no matter how late We called, the wait time was almost always 5-10 minutes. At times We didn't have to wait, they arrived immediately. My favorite part about riding with Michael was every trip We took was a flat fee, and within that fee, he wasn't only a taxi driver, he was also a companion and a tour guide. I needed to go from the airport to Fajardo with six people and luggage to catch the ferry. I called Michael a month in advance. He quoted me a price and said the ride would fit all of us and our luggage. A week before our trip I gave him the flight info and he was there right on time and sent me several texts during the day checking on our status. He was great, very friendly and helpful.
