I felt like the guy didn't overly enjoy looking up prices of Pokémon the first time or two when my kids asked about individual cards, but now he is more patient with them. Maybe realized that we do buy some of the cards we asked about, not just ask about tons of cards and never buy anything. Their sports card selection seems to vary from a lot of individual cards at a given time, to not too many. Same goes for the boxes available to purchase. I started playing MTG this month and decided to go to this event alone... well, I was suppose to meet my husband's best friend, but he had a family emergency. It was intimidating at first when majority of the customers were guys. My only experience with MTG was playing against my husband. (My husband was unable to go to this event.) The staff members were friendly, professional, and patient. When I first arrived, I was looking at the Duskmourn bundles, commander deck, etc that were sitting behind the counter. The place was busy as staff members were checking in customers for the event, but I was approached and offered assistance quick. I also appreciate one of the staff members who took the time to help me assembled my deck and gave me advice - I had no idea what I was doing. The staff members seemed very knowledgeable of the new expansion(?), as well as how to play the game. I interacted with some of the guys attending the event who seemed nice and friendly. My opponent was also friendly and patient - he even offered friendly advice and gave me a chances to reconsider my moves. The staff members checked in after the first round. The staff members were very understanding and accommodating when I needed to leave the event early. They even said "bye" as I was leaving. Overall, it was a good experience. I wish I was a better MTG player, but time will get there. I also find it cool that they serve food there. There was lots of space to sit. They offer a variety of card sleeves, deck boxes, dices, and a ton of single MTG cards. It is also where the Lady Planeswalker Society (women who plays MTG) meets. I would definitely come back and try to make more MTG friends.

This particular location has a good amount of board games available. So great for picking up or discovering a new board game. TCGs are a joke. They have no respect for MSRP (how much the retailer says its cost is). They will GOUGE you. They don't respect regular players. Playing weekly will not save you from the potential 4 times as much upcharge for product. When they receive *free* promos to give out for weekly TCGs- they won't make you go another round to have an ultimate winner- you can go undefeated and they still will not give you the "winners" pack. All other game stores in MN wouldn't keep their free promos like that. Again, staff is great- be kind. But DONT make this your new card shop. The company doesn't care about you at all- straight vultures.

At the time, my husband just wanted to get rid of his old console and would be happy with any amount he made. The store has a wide selection of video games for a variety of consoles. But I stopped by on a Tuesday afternoon alone with a mission: Magic the Gathering cards. I was looking for Innistrad bundle set (2021), which they did not have. The shopkeeper led me to a small section of the store and they have very limited trading card games available. They had the draft set booster for way over the market price. They had it listed for $139 when TCGPlayer has brand new, factory sealed for $78, and have median pricing ~$103. Maybe it was because I was passive or didn't do in-depth research prior, but I felt hostility from the shopkeeper - like he needed me to make a decision and buy something despite they said they didn't have the bundle set I was looking for or get out. They stood by me as I processed what I should do since they didn't have the bundle set I was looking for. I simply thanked them for their time and left.
