Awesome store but so understaffed. Grew a beard while waiting in the line. Need to hire more staff, especially for the holiday season.

Always out of everything, extremely overpriced, and ENDLESS lines. Help, White Plains needs a decent craft store!

Great selection and store is maintained quite neat compared to other Michael's. Love variety and ease of shopping, when I have visited haven't had too much trouble withy the line- parking lot is always pretty busy. read more

I really like this store. You can find almost all the craft needs you may have. The reason I am not giving 5 star is that there are not many staff to help. Someone the other day came and screaming at the casher line saying that they are selling "fake glass" etc - well, do not think of this as a store like a Sur La Table, Chef's Central, Pier 1 or something ---- it is a craft store!!! read more

Just had a terrible on-line experience with in-store pick up. Ordered seven T shirts before 12:30pm Monday and was supposed to be able to pick them up the same day. I didn't get notification that my order was ready until Wednesday morning. When I went to the store for pick up, I had to wait 30 minutes to get my order after giving the employee the order info--and there was no one ahead of me! Finally, after getting home and unpacking the bag they gave me, I discovered they only gave me six shirts even though I ordered and paid for seven. Will never do this again. read more

I really love this store. Whenever I have any crafting needs I head over to Michaels. I can easily spend an over an hour just thinking of kinds of crafts to make. There is a large selection of inventory at this location. They have yarn in many different colors, all types of painting and drawing materials, children's crafts, and materials to create your own shirts. I personally like their scrap booking section and their cake decorating materials. The scrap book stickers are categorized by theme which I find very helpful. They recently changed the layout, and though the line is still long it seems to move faster than before. read more

I agree the Hartsdale store has suffered from mismanagement for years. The checkout routine improved once they instituted the one line procedure. I rarely ask for help but have often found myself helping others! The man who runs the custom framing area is fantastic and a true artist, but I don't trust the rest of the framing staff. Once I brought in an old print to be reframed and watched in horror as the young woman staff took it out of the frame and touched it all over with her bare (oily?) hands. Did she get any training for this job? Finally, I think his name is John, appeared and I asked him to take over. In the end he did a great job. But, if I'm in the area, I go to the Port Chester store instead..the difference in the look and attitude between the two stores is amazing. read more

Worst store I ever went to. Nobody should shop here. They are rude and inconsiderate and have virtually nothing in stock. Horrible, horrible place. I called up in advance to find out if they had something I needed for my kids art project. I told them it was for my childs art project and that I was driving 45 minutes to get there. They told me they have item in stock and I should come over. When i got there they didn't have any of the items and the manager told me they dont even carry item and then when I complained about it they said tough, nothing they could do now. I guess your kid is going to fail. They were rude and basically laughed at me. The manager wouldn't take any responsibility. They seem to take pleasure in screwing over customers like it's all one big joke to them. On the date that I was looking for this it was a Sunday so I couldn't turn around and find some other place. I hope this store closes and this company goes bankrupt. The people who work here don't deserve to hold jobs. The Michaels chain has always had a horrible reputation, now I see why. Avoid this store at all costs. You will definitely regret coming there. I don't even want to give them one star but I can't post this unless I do. read more

Could I give it a zero? Here's a little story that is completely in keeping with my past experiences. After swearing this store off my shopping list about a year ago for mis-management, I decided to give it another try a couple weeks ago. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they had moved to one long payment line with multiple registers and made some other layout changes. While I was there with my five year old daughter, she asked for a little black and white draw-on bear (comes with markers), which I declined to get her. When I got home I realized that I had no birthday presents for her upcoming birthday so I figured I'd go back and get her that bear. So one week later, on a Saturday night (the night before her party), I went back, located the bear (with help from a very nice clerk, to their credit), picked up a ton of other items all birthday related, and stood in line to check out. Well, the clerk (who was also the store "supervisor") told me she couldn't sell me the bear because it rang up as $0.01, "which means its 'seasonal' and so it shouldn't have been out on the floor", and she couldn't sell it to me. Regardless of the fact that it was in a bin marked $7.99 with other stuffed animals and I would have been happy to pay that amount. And regardless of the fact that there was absolutely nothing seasonal about this stuffed bear. No holiday markings of any type. So I begged, pleaded, told my sob story about the half hour drive, my daughter's sixth birthday the next day, her broken heart, etc. etc, and got no love. The "supervisor" had no authority to cut me any slack, and she called the "shift manager" for back up, who backed up their insanely stupid policy, and told me I could come back to the store on Monday to talk with the manager. I figure they'll sell this stupid bear to a "holiday" consolidator for about 40 cents. I spent over $70 in their store that night. Nothing else that I bought that night couldn't have been bought at Target or Walmart etc., and so, for the 40 cents they'll make in selling their bear to a consolidator, they've lost me for good. I'll go to Target in White Plains. I hope the 15 people in line behind me who listened to this whole saga and who all gave me sympathetic looks on the way out all go to Target too. read more

Product selection, same Michaels stuff as any Michaels. Bathrooms, absolutely disgusting. From the looks of it, they must bring someone in to clean maybe once a year? I had to take my 4 year old daughter today and was really grossed out. Even a USED tampon sitting on top of the fem trash thing. And no hooks for coats. At least the soap dispenser was filled with soap. read more

Never ever come here on weekends. There is 1 cashier and you'll be in line for at least 30 minutes to 1 hour. This is not an exaggeration!!! So many reviews about the same thing... Either close this store or hire some cashiers for crying out loud! So frustrated with this place! read more

Visited this store for the very 1st time. My need was to inquire about frame or edging for art work I had done in another venue. As I looked up the aisles, I noticed a work desk area that had a gentleman who appeared to specializes in providing customer's with detail frames and styles fir personal there items. Although I was not seeking to purchase or custom make theses frames, I honestly had hopes that he could direct me or assist me with my small yet urgent quest, Well that would not be the case!! He noted to me that unless I was ordering customed service frames, I should go elsewhere and was Extremely rude to the point another customer started chatting and reached passed me with her receipt for her order, totally ignoring the fact that I was still inquiring about recommendations or insight. In all honesty, he could have extended me the offer to use the frame edging that protects their display and items, but refused to give me the opportunity to inquire. This individual was extremely rude and couldn't give me the time of day! The patron who rudely pushed past me was no better. Ignorance is validation in this store! I will never return, but will note that you are treated different from others if you are not the same!!! #bigot #racist read more

The store has many items for craft projects, picture framing, knitting, and crocheting. I have been very satisfied with their stock and the help I've received there over the years. Additionally, they run weekly ads and give discount coupons with every purchase. I am a happy customer. read more

Don't come here unless you have an hour to stand in line! Never enough cashiers-EVER! I have to come here for work pretty frequently and it doesn't matter if it is a Saturday afternoon or a Wednesday morning, there is always a huge line and no more than 2 or 3 cashiers! I avoid coming unless I have no choice and then I drag someone with me who gets directly on line when we walk in so once I rush around and gather what I came for I wait maybe 25-30 minutes instead of 40+!! It's a craft store, I shouldn't have to strategize my visit, they should schedule adequate staff! read more

Awful, do NOT ever use this store for any of your framing needs. Worse service and quality of work the poorest i have ever received. also, while they claim to offer framing packages, when they price out your product, somehow it just never seems to be able to fall into one of their categories. Still trying to resolve a problem issue, and the store manager is always too busy to come to the phone. STAY AWAY and go to a reputable framer. read more

There are a handful of nice/helpful cashiers at Michaels but there are two (who shall not be named) who excel in their rudeness. I cringe every time I see them. Perhaps they could take lessons in manners and customer service from the Trader Joe's employees down the street. Furthermore, I find the merchandise selection very limited (I'm a mixed media crafter). Shelves are often a mess and the store looks cramped and dirty. Another gripe I have is that it doesn't have any product "experts" working the floor. I should add that several years ago, an employee stole something I left with the framing department. Unfortunately, I end up frequenting the store because of proximity and the fact that there is little competition in Westchester. In the end though, I do most of my shopping online. read more
