I attended a wedding that they were catering and had to convince my partner not to order a pizza. Salad was served late, and then the meals didn't come out until at least an hour after we had all finished our salads. There was not enough catering staff, which resulted in people from the wedding, as well as the wedding planner handing out the plates. We were supposed to go and get our food in tables, but the head chef decided to serve through the kitchen window instead. Many guests also witnessed the chef wiping his nose and continuing to plate food, without washing his hands. I am even more unimpressed by the way the owner is handling this whole situation. They are denying all claims made by everyone that attended the wedding. I'm sorry, but do you really think we would all go through this trouble if the service was good? If the food was good? He claims that there were 'last minute changes' which resulted in the delay, which is a lie. He was simply not prepared and doesn't know how to be professional enough to handle this whole situation properly. The 3 dinner options were pasta, chicken, or vegetarian. Each of the meals came out separately, meaning everyone who got the chicken dinner got to watch the people with pasta dinner get served and even finish their food before we were beginning to be served ours, and the vegetarian plates came out even later. Despite the pasta dinner coming out first, it was cold, the bread was burnt and stale, they also were serving spaghetti (as agreed on with the bride and groom) but ended up serving larger, not very good noodles. The chicken dinner came with the tiniest chicken breast I have ever seen, a bit larger than a chicken nugget, with 2 scoops of mashes potatoes and a few carrots. All drenched in gravy. The vegetarian meal was also burnt. Oh, and the buns that were supposed to come out with the chicken dinner, were handed out from a basket after dinner was finished, because they forgot to include it with the meal. If you plan on hiring them, have a back up plan, and prepare for them to deny any and all claims you make about what you will witness from them. Just to respond to the owner's comment on this review... I am good friends with the bride and groom, I am aware that Kia Sal has flat out refused to resolve any of this, and is placing all blame on the bride and groom, on what should have been a memorable day (in a better way). Even if they specifically requested no serving staff, they requested that dinner be served in tables, with the DJ calling them up individually, but that couldn't happen with the way dinners were being prepared. Rather than having all the food ready together, each of the 3 meals were prepared individually. As for the wedding planner entering the kitchen, she only did after a lengthy wait with a lot of hungry people. The wedding planner is the only reason the dinners got served. Or everyone's food would have sat on that counter for a VERY long time. Even with her help, the food was cold. Every professional at that wedding was extremely unimpressed with the way catering was handled. Don't cater weddings if it's too much trouble, and don't blame the bride and groom for your mistakes, while refusing to give them any sort of refund. And yes, there are emails with proof of these refusals. Let the owner's comment speak for itself. I am making this review in support of a friend who had a horrible experience on a day they'll never forget. The owner did not offer any type of refund, one was requested and denied, which is when the bride asked people to make reviews 'based on their experience' because she has been left with no other options.

Although the selection can be a little spotty, I think this is the best straight up board game…read morestore in the Northeast section of Ontario. There is a real effort to stay on top of the new releases and I'm often surprised to see something on the "just in" shelf that I hadn't expected. The owner knows his stuff and has weekend staff who are equally knowledgeable and board games players themselves. I've also noticed that his prices compete favourably with the bigger Toronto stores. I recently took advantage of his ordering service to get a game that was sold out in dozens of other stores.
