Oh, I wasn't expecting much from such an ambitious-sounding name as "the comic book store," but I have to say...it really is THE comic book store to go to! I stayed here for several hours combing through their back issue bins, and I still didn't get through all of them. The place is split into two buildings--one for toys and the other for comics. I only went into the comic building, which, although small, it's undoubtedly mighty in terms of service and selection. I was highly impressed by the staff that day, which made me feel welcome and even chatted with me about various books and storylines, just like the best local comic book shops do. It really was an enjoyable experience. And I found many hidden gems I never thought I'd find at such fantastic prices. I will certainly come back to this place again whenever I'm in the area.

What a GREAT shop…read more.. The Golden Feather is (what I consider) a boutique shop. There is plenty to see, and is the PERFECT place to shop for gifts. They even have gift cards! What I love the most about the Golden Feather is that everything is unique - it all comes from local artists. They have jewelry, pottery, scarves, artwork, tons of cute things for babies, and lots more... When you walk in, you'll see lots of tables and shelves, with merchandise all over the place! On the walls, on the floors... It's a great at-home feeling, not the sterile shopping experience you get at a department store. There is a lot to see here, so take your time! The prices range - some items are higher than others, but again, keep in mind that the items are handmade... And you are paying for quality. They always have clearance shelves also, I just got something today marked as $60 for 50% off! My mother swears by this place - whenever she has to go to a baby shower/house warming, she comes here for all of her gifts. They have great gift baskets, and they will gift wrap for free. They put your merchandise in a beautiful bag with tissue paper and a peacock feather... Very nice touch. There is a parking lot outside with plenty of parking, and is right off of Rt. 30, so it is super easy to get to. The staff have always been cordial and will help you out with any questions you have. It's located in an old home but they make great use of the space they have. The owner and other staff working there are so incredibly helpful and kind. They go above and beyond and makes for a very enjoyable experience. They also offer plenty of quilting classes for very reasonable prices. I absolutely love his quilt shop and highly recommend it. You will find everything you need. My only complaint was that we went on an extremely hot day and there isn't central air so some of the rooms are very hot. Overall it's a great quilt shop!

It was my first time there, so they showed us around the many rooms of their shop. The shop offers classes and the occasional retreat in their upstairs space. The store is a quilter's dream - its saturated from head to toe in fabric, patterns, kits, and more. Virtually every single surface was covered in quilt related items for sale, but it doesn't look messy or chaotic. They have a great selection of reproduction fabrics as well, and entire sections for nursery quilts, batiks, flannel, and seasonal items. You can buy fabrics from many major designers. The staff helped us choose fabrics for our project and also provided helpful information about the material (we almost bought one rayon print when the rest of our material was cotton). I really enjoyed visiting this store and without a doubt I will come back, especially because they carry so many things I can usually only get online. Hopefully in the future I can take a long arm class or two!

And they will cut out any shape if you have three dimensional items you want to frame. I had 3D items that were all different heights and shapes and everything just worked out absolutely perfectly with the different color mattings that complemented the items. And then I had another very, very old and extremely heavy icon that they made a shadowbox for and it's the most stunning thing you've ever seen. I will be definitely going back to them with some artwork that I just bought.
