Ravioli Spinaci e Ricotta

Great little Italian restaurant near Sunset Blvd! Small dining room but very welcoming with the staff and decor. You get to choose if you want free bread with oil and vinegar or garlic bread, both are great but the garlic bread is amazing! Not pictured but we got the calamari which had good flavor and breading but were a little chewy. Pepperoni pizza had a great crust and undercarriage. My ravioli was firm and flavorful. Rigatoni bolognese was loaded with meat and filling. One thing to keep in mind is that parking is extremely limited!

Stopped in for brunch and had such a great experience that I may be back tonight for dinner. From the moment I arrived, service was quick, attentive, and welcoming. The food was fantastic--everything tasted fresh and well-prepared. They even accommodated my request to add feta cheese to my scrambled eggs, which made the dish even better. Small details like that really stand out. I sat outside on a beautiful day, with birds chirping in the background--it created such a peaceful and enjoyable atmosphere. To top it off, I had the chance to meet the owners, who were incredibly sweet and kind. May God bless your establishment. I'm truly looking forward to returning to this incredible and welcoming spot. Ciao!!

We celebrated my wife's birthday at Michelangelo Ristorante, and after nearly two decades of dining here, it still feels like coming home. I ordered the bucatini from the daily special, and it did not disappoint; perfectly cooked pasta with a light, flavorful sauce that reminded me why this place has stood the test of time. I also got to taste their famous Italian paella, which was absolutely incredible. The space is cozy and welcoming, the kind of restaurant where conversation flows easily and the night lingers. Antonio, one of the owners, made sure our party of eight was well taken care of, and his mother came out from the kitchen to greet us, just like she always has. That genuine family warmth is what sets Michelangelo apart. It's been part of our story for over 18 years, and we'll continue coming back for many more.

Michelangelo's is a perfect example of why small, family owned restaurants shine in a way that larger restaurants simply don't. The SERVICE was spectacular. Our server Miguel was particularly attentive and friendly, we were greeted on the way in and out of the restaurant and didn't find ourselves "wanting" for anything the whole night, he's clearly very well experienced. The FOOD was delicious. I had the Rigatoni Vodka Sauce and my girlfriend had the Pappardelle Alla Domenica, both were excellent, (its no wonder the second dish was featured in the LA Times). Best of all was the complementary bread which is made in house by the owner's mother, who still works there despite her advanced age. Finally, the VIBE was amazing. The owners were there and couldn't be friendlier, their mother was also extremely kind and even the employees feel familial. It's truly an inclusive and warm place. That combination of qualities is what is so hard to replicate about this place: authenticity & welcoming energy, delicious food & great service. Michelangelo's is the BOMB!

A last-minute meet up with friends to celebrate life brought us to Michelangelo - a charming little Italian eatery located in Silverlake. Founded in 1997 by the Stifano family, Michelangelo Ristorante is a friendly neighborhood gem that specializes in Southern Italian Cuisine. The dining room is cozy with a family friendly vibe and there is a patio area with heat lamps in the winter. Our server was Miguel. He was delightful & attentive. The festivities kicked off with cocktails. I had the Spicy Bail Gimlet as did another friend. Raspberry Mojito, Jack n Diet, & Peroni were also ordered. The Gimlet was tasty with just a hint of spiciness. I tried a sip of the Raspberry Mojito, and it was light & refreshing. We started with garlic bread, which I highly recommend. It was warm & buttery with fresh pieces of chopped garlic. For dinner we ordered: Insalata Caprino, Divina Salad (Special), Pappardelle Ossobuco (Special), Lobster Agnolotti (Special), Pepperoni Pizza, & Linguini Calamari. I had the Insalata Caprino - a yummy combo of romaine, radicchio, tomato, goat cheese, & olives. I tried a bite of the Linguini Calamari and a sliver of the pizza without pepperoni. Both were molto bene! My friends all loved their choices and cleaned their plates. Despite being full, we couldn't resist dessert. One friend was torn between the Spumoni & Tiramisu. Miguel recommended the Tiramisu. We also ordered Crème Caramel and an Ice Cream Sundae. However, Spumoni was delivered by mistake, but my friend decided to keep it. When owner Antonio noticed the slip up, he graciously brought over a complimentary Tiramisu. Much like the food, the desserts were delicious with the Tiramisu being the star! I'm glad we didn't miss out on it. My friend and I had a wonderful meal. The service was excellent, portions were generous, prices reasonable, and the food was fantastico! Next time someone asks me to recommend a good Italian restaurant, I'm sending them to Michelangelo! *Small parking lot or street parking. *Saturday & Sunday Bruch $15 Bottomless Mimosas *Happy Hour Monday - Friday 4 - 7 pm

Me and my fiancé love this place ! I always get my fusilli with marinara and my fiancé will switch between different dishes on the menu. Service is always great. We love sitting in the "outdoor" patio. The consistency each time is just something we always look forward to :)

The tastiest Italian food made with the freshest ingredients available. I don't think I could name a better Italian restaurant in LA

The melty cheesy, flavorful sauce and toppings against the crispy crust made it super delicious. The downside is the pizza gets cold by the time you eat a second slice and you just crave experiencing what you had earlier. It is a bit difficult to have an intimate private conversation because the acoustics of the room made the music and conversations around echo. But if you're looking for the louder party vibe it's great! Super friendly staff as well, would recommend if you're in the arts district.

Okay, so I know I've driven by this place and went to an ice cream museum pop up back at the end of…read morethe covid fakedemic, but it really wasn't on my radar. Nice name, but when I see menus of any cuisine that go out of their way to offer vegan and gluten free versions of everything, it tends to put me off. I know that's an unfair prejudice, but I always assume it's more of a healthy food place for people who complain about regular food than a real tasty joint. Well, I couldn't have been more wrong. Now that I've tried their fantastic pizza, my only sadness is that they are located in DTLA, where finding parking even to run in and pick up things to go is always difficult. So, we were here at first not for the food but because my teen son's death metal band, Institutionalized, was playing a show with the very popular super cool local metal band Diabology. But, hey, if you're there might as well grab something before you leave, right? So We got a cheese pie, which was excellent. Also tried a slice of their white pie, which was garlicky goodness. What really sold us, though, was the Sicilian pie we got. As born and bred New Yorker transplants who have been here a long time, we have never found a fantastic Sicilian. Good, sure, but never great. The pies are never thick enough as far as the breading. Here it was as close as we've ever got. And like the other pizza, the taste was excellent. And, as native New Yorkers, we know our pizza! Strongly recommended! Can't wait to get another Sicilian pie in the near future with some toppings.

I finally went back and tried one of their vegan pastas I hadn't tried before, and there was meat in it (pancetta). I literally am feeling sick to my stomach--I'm pescatarian + non-dairy and stopped eating meat in 2013 so I'm sure you can imagine. The customer service was amazing and the cashier who helped me, Melissa, was so apologetic and sweet (obviously wasn't her fault), but this is just another warning to anyone who is vegan and considers coming here. I also came when they were about to close and already had to wait like 15min longer than they said so there's not even anything else open this late for me to find other food. Very disappointing and I will not be coming back for good this time. If I could give separate stars for customer service, I would give them 5 stars but this was unacceptable on the cook's part. Do not risk it if you are vegan.

My friend and I ordered the melons appetizer which was refreshing and phenomenal - who knew pickles and sweet melon went together so beautifully?! For pizza, we ordered a slice of "Tomato Slice" with ricotta and a slice of pepperoni. We both loved the Tomato Slice but my friend thought the pepperoni was just ok. For dessert, my friend ordered the Princess Cake. Fortunately she let me try a bite so I can say it was moist and delicious! I got the coconut cream pie which was lovely with some mango on top, and to go, I snagged a slice of the stone fruit "slab" - they literally took off the "sold out" sign at opening and I immediately told our server I wanted some to take home! I tried it the next day, slightly warmed up and it was amazing! This spot is definitely worth the trek and parking struggle that is Silver Lake!
