Looks like it's main focus was barbers but has branched out to the 'female' side and now does male and female hair along with a few 'spa' like treatments e.g manicure, massages and facials. Salon was clean and tidy with staff very welcoming and great hosts. We were offered drinks regularly (ranging from water to wine) and everything was done to ensure we were comfortable and happy with the environment. Their Keratin treatment was amazing. I've been having this done for a few years now and my hair as never felt so good. I find myself stroking my hair and running my fingers through with disturbing regularity. I will be back and not just because my hairdresser is here now. She made a great choice joining this team.

I turned to my helpful friend Yelp for some assistance in finding a place in Richmond I could get a cut in between shopping breaks and came across A&N which had some great reviews. I've worked past this salon a few times while in Richmond but never noticed it. When I read the reviews on Yelp, I thought to give it a try. I was looking for a cut and dry but they could only do a cut at the time I wanted. Hesitant of two things, the fact that it was freezing outside and I didn't want to be cold and also the fact that I've never tried this salon before, I had to think about it. As I continued to read the reviews, I decided to take the plunge and book for 2:30pm. I called around 12pm for an appointment. As I walked in, I noticed how nearly organised and clean it was and that's important to me. The salon is a small shop with two male and two female hairdressers from what I saw. The staff were nice and took my coat and scarf when I walked in. Within 30 minutes or less, I got a wash and new haircut. My only issue is the fact that I felt as though the lady (dark hair, can't remember her name) was judging me because of my split ends and didn't really pay attention to what I was saying. Nevertheless, I got a nice cut so she must have some multi tasking ability with a "let's get it done quickly" personality. My haircut was £28 and because I checked into the salon through yelp, I get a men's cut for £12 instead of £16. That would be of some use to someone.

While I've always had my hair done by the same girl, all the staff seem friendly and pleasant. The shampoo and other products used are of a good quality, while the cutting is superb. I've always got what I'm looking for with minimum fuss. The service is good and fast, without me feeling rushed out of the place. Now, despite this place being a barbers the Mrs has been here several times before and never had a problem. She's never asked for a Brazilian blow dry and all she needs is a bit of a trim on her short hair. After this abrupt introduction I was ready to walk out after the millionth time she jibed ' we don't cut women's hair' thinking fair enough. However there was one gent (who needs a raise) who had no problem and went to it straight away. This is clearly a place for unskilled hairdressers masquerading as a barber's. If what you want can't be measured in numbers and produced in 5 mins by clippers don't come. If you literally want a quick hack then this is your place. For a quirky barbers, full of interesting tack and sarcastic signs on the wall it seems to be devoid of all character. The female staff were just plain Rude. The man however was happy to give the Mrs a trim realising that any custom on a Saturday afternoon, male or female would be better than none. So the Mrs got her cut, and the guy who did it was a delight, but at £15 for a six min trim, there are cheaper and more plesant places to go.
