We got the birria fries and while I was initially shook that a single taco would run you $5.00... we immediately realized why when we opened up the takeaway container. The big tacos are not your average street taco size, they are B-I-G. I can usually eat 5-6 street tacos, but I got sooo full after eating 1/4 of the fries and 1 taco. When you walk in, it's a Latin vibe! I think we came during the busiest time, but I wasn't too long of a wait well rough or take 30 to 45 minutes is what the server told us which is not really a server because you walk up to the front and you place your order and then you take a ticket number or a table number and then they bring your meal. We ended up getting our meal relatively like maybe 15 minutes after we placed it and at firsthand the meal was good. The tacos were tasty. The burrito was just OK and their beers were fine. I don't want to say it. It's a tad bit overpriced they do have a feel like they are aspiring to be Kalaveras, but they're not necessarily Kalaveras and so you could tell people come here mainly for the atmosphere. I would check out another place just because it's overpriced for the food that you get being that it's in Menifee. I think overall what we paid for the pictures here it was $65. First time at this location. Very busy on a Friday night. Plenty of parking. Food was a wait but was good. I got the quesabirria tacos and the birria ramen. The ramen had the birria it's broth and the seemed like noodles were tossed in at the end. I also got the pineapple Fresca Rita, do not recommend it tasted more like a mix. After the first sip I tried to swap it for a michelada but was not able to it being alcohol. If you want a drink stick to the michelada can't go wrong with that. I wanted to like this place more than I did. Overall the food was fine. The bigger issue was the service and order accuracy. We placed a takeout order in advance. There was a long line, I approached the counter to let the cashier know we were there just for a preorder. He immediately told me he was helping another customer without even looking up. While I understand helping customers in order, the interaction felt dismissive and lacked basic acknowledgment. There should be a designated spot marked for pick-up orders so customer who pre-order and customers ordering in store are not occupying the same line. When our food was handed to us, items were missing from the order. After pointing it out, the order was corrected, but then another item was still missing. We had to go through the process a second time before receiving everything we had ordered and paid for. The employee handing out the food was friendly, which I appreciated, but friendly service alone is not enough. Good customer service also means being organized, checking orders for accuracy, and paying attention to details before handing food to customers. Pretty disappointed with this visit. I ordered just ONE item and it took over 40 minutes to get it, even though the place wasn't busy. No one acknowledged the long wait. What made it more frustrating was you could hear the cooks in the back laughing, and some staff were just standing off to the side while customers were waiting. I wasn't as impressed as I thought I would be given all the great reviews I have read and heard from my friends. But perhaps I need to order something else next time. The vibe is great! Colorful. Great music and staff was very nice. There is a bathroom fyi. The salsas were good, pretty spicy! It is kind of small so be mindful of that and space if you go with a big group. Also it does take a while to get your food so grab a drink and chill...don't go crazy hungry because it takes a min for them to make it. :) I ordered a torta and it was okay. Nothing to scream about but then again I did taste some of my friends food and it was alright. I think I need to get something else next time as perhaps the tortas are not really what they are known for. Keep an open ear for your number. These poor workers go around the small restaraunt saying numbers and ppl don't listen. Then someone goes up to complain when we saw and heard workers walk 3 or 4 times around their small place and because you had headphones on you didn't hear. He told me one of his favorite places so my wife and I called and see if they had certain tacos on the taco Tuesday so I spoke to Orlando, which is the manager we got there. We said hi to Orlando and server's name for Jackie very kind very friendly. She helped us to place an order. The more of the story is I ordered the fish taco and the shrimp taco my wife had El Pastor and Carnitas just want you guys to know. I prefer the carne asada, the carnitas is good, but they can be a little salty at times. The queso biria tacos are absolutely what they're famous for, and with good reason! They are sheer perfection, especially with a little dunk in their rich flavorful consumé...yum. They do stay pretty busy, but even when they're not, be prepared for a wait (the reason for 4 s) The orders take a while, but it's absolutely worth the wait. Monday, Sept 15th I have been a regular customer and the food has always been excellent, in taste and portion. It appears that their policy may not be to offer chips and salsa to dine in guests anymore, unless you ask for them, which usually is never a deal breaker. However, moving forward to this day's experience, the female cashier was very courteous to the previous guests so much that she had offered chips and salsa in Spanish. On the contrary, she does not offer me the same service. Since she did not offer me any chips and salsa immediately as well, I took the initiative this time and asked for some and with a smirky remark she tells me she will bring it out to me. I took the time to wait to allow her to help a guest behind me before I went back to the counter to see her now taking care of the previous guests' beer as well. When she notices me, she asks what do I need. I again ask for the chips and salsa. This girl clearly had no sense at all to serve me and was not apologetic either. The rating is mainly for the customer service. They already don't provide a full service as it is, but you would think there would be decent minimal service even more so after being left any tip at all. There was absolutely no reason for the discrimination. On a side note, my shrimp taco that is usually packed only had three pieces on it. Not sure if that was related in any way to the animosity of the cashier that influenced the portion of my food. But hey... after an experience such as this, your average customer is going to link the two. I was already afraid something was going to happen to my food. I will stay away from this business awhile and perhaps try another time. Based on the other reviews, it seems this establishment should start taking pride in the people that they hire. Partially due to the food and all the flavor it brings to the tacos, burritos, nacho fries, and the birria ramen but most importantly the hospitality, friendliness and thoughtful staff with Vanessa shining on our most recent visit. The food came out in good time after ordering that evening. The decor is lively, bright and welcoming. There was a good amount of seating for the space available. We had a few questions and the lady at the cash register explained what the items consisted of with patience and a smile on her face. We told her it was our first time and she made sure our order would be made how we wanted it. The potato flautas were amazing! So simple yet delicious! I love me some potato flautas!! Took 45 minutes to get 6 tacos to go. They said 25 minute wait. Asked for everything on the tacos and they came completely bare with just the piece of fish. The sides were in these tiny half filled containers on the side. Not enough to cover the amount of tacos we got and they forgot the salsas we asked for. I went back in to ask for another container of sides and the missing salsas, and they gave me containers that were even smaller than the first ones and still barely filled up... Still missing the salsas. So I had to ask for those a 3rd time. In the 45 minutes of waiting there were countless orders being sent back for being wrong.
