It's a maze of every second hand treasure you could think of. My favorite was looking at all the vintage clothing. So many gorgeous sweaters- even 100% wool. I found the clothing prices to be a bit steep for secondhand, but most were quality materials so I get it. Didn't find anything to purchase this time, but if you like to window shop like me, then this is still the place for you!

We had our kido with us and decided it was still worth taking a look, regardless of the very hateful messages on the front door. Upon entering the owner told us we couldn't come in with our child because the business was, "too small." I literally was too confused to argue much but said something along the lines of, "that doesn't seem very accepting, even though your sign outside makes you seem, like you want to seem, "very accepting." Neither one of us wants to start up a small business but would look for an old place like this as a residence while still keeping the historical aspect of the place intact. The location of this place does not lends itself to a residence, definitely a business. We met the owner who was busily working but took the time to answer questions and was most pleasant. This place is an antique and consignment store as the name implies. The owner had this place added to the Michigan historical list which means she is limited to what she can change inside and out keeping the historical integrity of the building. The level of respect immediately went up for me as both my wife and I are big supporters of historical landmarks such as this. The items for sale are displayed nicely and prices clearly marked. It seems like the perfect business for this place bringing in items from old days gone by into a place that must have been quite a sight with trains and passengers coming and going. What a treat this was for both of us.
