tasted super fresh and homemade. You can tell they don't cut corners on ingredients or portions. What really stood out though was the service. The staff was patient even with how busy it was, gave recommendations, and let us sample flavors without making us feel rushed. Everyone working there seemed genuinely friendly and upbeat, which made the whole experience even better. The place was also really clean and had a fun atmosphere with music playing and lots of people hanging out enjoying dessert late at night. Definitely one of the best dessert spots in the SGV. Perfect place to bring friends or family when you want something casual but actually memorable. I already know I'll be back for the paletas and esquites next time. Easy 5 stars.

If you know, you know -- this is the real deal! From the moment you walk in, the smell of fresh fruit and sweet cream hits you, and suddenly you're five years old again on a hot summer day. Their strawberry and cream paleta is my favorite -- perfectly creamy, not too sweet, and full of real fruit chunks. The mangonadas are -- tangy, spicy, and refreshing all at once. Everything tastes homemade, and you can tell they take pride in what they serve. The staff is always kind and patient, even when the line gets long (because yes, it does get busy -- and for good reason).

Whether you're craving ice cream, aguas frescas, or a crazy-good elote, this spot never disappoints.

Came here for two scoops of ice cream, and wow was it delicious! Michoacana has so many desserts available that I'll need to return to try all the others... and there are so many flavors, too! On this visit, I had the pistachio and strawberry shortcake. Eating it was a tad messy, though, as the ice cream somehow melted to the outside of the cup, perhaps through the lid not sealing well. Of course, they also have numerous paletas with unique flavors (eg avocado) and that barely even scratches the surface of their more, larger, dessert items to share with friends. Service was quick, and seating (and space) was plentiful. The line conveniently wraps around all the freezers, so you won't be able to miss any of their items. Definitely worth a visit!

If you are craving desserts past 11pm there are very little options in the area. Michoacana closes at midnight every day so this would be a good option. They serve ice cream, ice cream bars, crepes, funnel cake, bionicos and many more items. They have over 30 different ice cream flavors to choose from and their small size allows you to pick 2 flavors. I tried to bionico today since I wanted a healthy alternative. It was yogurt with apples, bananas, pineapples with raisins and coconut on top. The fruit was tangy and sweet and paired well with the yogurt. Their prices are comparable to places around the area. Small ice cream was $6.99 and the bionico was about $12.

I was very disappointed with my esquite. They only put mayo on the side of the cup and none at the top. There was only a small dash of cheese. Their fresa agua fresca was good but overpriced.

Had to come back for their churro and a mano paleta because I got their funnel cake last time. They were busy, but we were greeted and thanked for our patience. I must say, I was highly disappointed in the churro and it wasn't worth $3.99 imho. It wasn't fresh like their funnel cake. I bit into it thinking it would be fluffy , but it felt like I bit into a hard shelled candy. I enjoyed the paleta way more and their funnel cake. Their shakes were great from what my husband and friend told me. They had flavors that other dessert shops dont have. Such as abuelita and mascapone? I will be back to try their agua frescas next time and maybe another dessert. Plus, hopefully I will remember to show them this review.

Food was amazing and quick service, would definitely come back. Wide variety of choices. Nice music inside and nice staff.

This was so cute! I love the variety of the place, and the freshness of the food. The server was super attentive, and very friendly. She recommended ice cream and I am lowkey regretting not listening. There was a lot of variety and really yummy treats listed. I loved the catchy music in the air while you wait, which wasn't long! I definitely enjoyed it. Can't wait to come back and try the churros.

Got here and received a great deal at a very fair price. The staff was friendly, professional, and made the whole process easy and stress-free. They went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied and answered all of my questions. I never felt pressured, and they took the time to explain everything clearly. Excellent customer service, great value, and an overall outstanding experience. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for quality service and a great price.

My eldest daughter and I were at Monty's Alhambra getting some of their amazingly delicious fried chicken and waffle. While we were waiting for our order, we walked over to La Michoacana + Mexican Foods right next door. I know they sell ice cream, snacks, and drinks, but first time seeing them paired with Mexican foods. It's actually a great combo! It's probably the largest La Michoacana that I've ever been to. Lots of inside seating. They have a good number of ice cream flavors in milk-based and water-based. I prefer the milk-based more because of the creaminess of the ice cream. The water-based is probably healthier though. They also had milk and water-based ice cream bars plus agua frescas. There were other snack items, too. I didn't check out the Mexican foods section... maybe next time I will. Staff was really nice and pleasant. The young lady said I could try all the flavors if I wanted to. I said cool, but I didn't. I sampled about 5 to 6 ice cream flavors and a couple agua frescas flavors. It's great to be able to try flavors before deciding on what I want to buy. Thank you! After all my samplings, I went with two small cups each with two ice cream flavors... one with strawberry cheesecake and oreo milk-based, the other one with jamaica and watermelon water-based. I also got two small cups of agua frescas... one with cucumber lime, the other one with watermelon. I enjoyed the milk-based ice cream very much. So sweet and yummy! For some reason, the water-based ones didn't taste as good as the sampling. Oh well. Both agua frescas were refreshing and delightful. Cucumber lime is the best out of the two! Prices are very reasonable. Parking is limited because they share the parking lot with other businesses on a small corner lot. Try to come here during non-peak hours. There may be street parking adjacent to the lot, but not 100% sure. Please check for signs. We'll definitely be back here whenever we're picking up fried chicken and waffles. If you're a La Michoacana fan or a potential fan in waiting, wait no longer. This place is the one for you! See you here!!

Had the pleasure of speaking with management and I agreed to give them another try so I returned yesterday. And this visit was a way better experience than the first. Parking was tough this time but I heard some good music as I was approaching the entrance. Immediately I was greeted or acknowledged by everyone. The employees were very joyful and enthused to assist me with whatever I needed. Good and positive energy indeed. Decided to just go with the traditional way of how they make their funnel cakes and also some more queso Birria tacos. Can't forget the concome... The service was phenomenal !!! Not only did our orders come out fresh and hot but we also had the pleasure of having good conversations with Kevin and Ana while we waited. They really are some great people. The food came out better than expected. Food looked and smelled so amazing. Had to sample the funnel cake before pulling off lol. The tacos were so good. Should've ordered more than 3. I was very pleased with everything though. No complaints at all. I really enjoyed the experience from the moment I entered to when I left. I will be returning. I definitely recommend stopping by if you're ever in the area. I don't stay close but I can definitely see myself taking a drive just to come here for the phenomenal customer service and food. Sorry excuse for a bionico. The cart was flooded with the cream with hardly any fruit. This is more like a cereal ratio with extra cream. Not to mention the cream oozed out from the carton and spilled on my car seat. I have never had a bad bionico in my life, really because it's pretty difficult to mess it up. Came here late afternoon and craving something sweet but also savory. Got a couple of items here and was not disappointed. Paleta Shake 5/5 - Highly customizable with a ton of specialty ice creams to choose from. You can also mix and match 2 different ice creams into one which was also really cool. You also get to add on a popsicle at the end of your choice. It is also topped with a chocolate and nut rim. Esquite 4/5 - This was also good but nothing crazy. I wish they would have a little sauce bar on the side for more customizability such as hot sauce or even lime juice. Hot Cheetos w/ cheese 3/5 - I was the least happy w this since I wish there was more to it like added toppings other than just cheese and cheetos. If you could add jalapenos or onions and etc I think it would be really good. Overall, I think this place is great for a quick snack and dessert. I came in on November 15th 7:00pm ish and had one of the worst experiences I've ever had at this location. When we walked in, no one acknowledged us at all. The staff seemed uninterested, and when we ordered, the person helping us didn't bother to ask if we needed anything else or explain the charges clearly. I ordered a crepe with two scoops of ice cream she specifically said it came with two scoops but I was still charged extra without being told. What made it worse is that after making my crepe, the girl placed it on top of a cooler and left it sitting there while she made the rest of the order. By the time I got to my car and opened the box, the entire thing was completely melted. It was literally drowning in melted ice cream and completely inedible. I basically paid $35 for something I couldn't even eat. The older lady who used to work here always treated customers well, so this was such a disappointing change. The attitude, the lack of care, and the quality were all terrible. I honestly expected so much better from this place. I hope management sees this, because this experience needs to be addressed customers shouldn't be treated this way or served food in that condition. read more

The inside of the store is small but modern and there's free WiFi for a quick work break. I enjoyed their egg coffee, which has a nice, creamy, rich sweet egg foam (think tiramisu more than omelette). I also really liked their banana coffee and probably something that feels more unique in a way but also I'm seeing banana popping up more. I thought their sesame one was alright and could def have had a stronger sesame flavor. The ube latte was also pretty good and had a notable sweet, earthy ube that complimented the coffee well. I will say that viet coffee seems to have quite a bit more caffiene and as someone who doesn't drink coffee often, I do tend to have to drink it over 2 days as I get headaches but I do still enjoy the flavor.

I saw the store as I was exiting Fremont from the 10 freeway and saw the pink signage. It looked very nice from the outside so I decided to go check it out. When I walked in the store it was exceptionally clean and the staff was extremely receptive and welcoming. I asked one of the employees behind the counter (I think his name was alex) for some popular items besides ice creams and palettas. He told me to try their mangonada, elote, or churros. I ordered all three. The elote was fresh cut from 2 cobs into a cup and topped with cotija cheese, hot sauce, and a little lime drizzle. It was steaming hot and delicious. The churros were fresh made and perfectly crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The mangonada was beautiful looking and just the right mix of sweet/tangy with a hint of tajin and fresh mango on top. I was extremely impressed with the presentation of everything. I got one of their fresh made agua Frescas (Mixed fruit) to wash it all down. Everything was delicious and the staff told me everything from the churro batter to the juice is made in house daily. 10/10 would go back. Can't wait for the next trip to try their ice cream! I saw they have Cookie Monster ice cream, ice cream popsicles (palettas) fresh dipped in liquid chocolate and coated in nuts/coconut, as well as vegan sorbets and treats for my mom (she's vegan). Wait times can vary but it just depends how busy it is. Overall it's a very good dessert place. Haven't tried their dinner menu yet but their ice cream is sure to not disappoint. They have a wide variety of choices to satisfy all your sweet, sour, and savory needs. read more

I am very pleased with the hospitality given yesterday by a young lady named Leslie. She recommended a lot of delicious items.One of them being the fried Oreos with cookie monster ice cream.I will definitely be coming back to try the tostilocos and esquites! read more
