Got delievery from Mick O'Shea's for dinner recently when my husband really wanted fish and chips. I also got the bangers & mash and crawfish etouffee. The food came very well packaged. We loved every single thing. The bangers and mash might have been our favorite, it was super flavorful, and they even included some mustard to go along with it. My husband ate most of it. We were impressed with the portion sizes as well. The fish and chips were delicious. The fish was super flakey and not dry. Even the crawfish etouffee was super tasty. Were already talking about getting over there to eat in person. This will definitely be our go to Irish pub. read more

Wow we really liked this place! A perfectly poured Guinness to start and a very good baked crab dip followed by some of the best fish & chips we have had for a long time. Very flaky lightly batter fish with real hand cut chips and decent tartar sauce. Service was friendly and very efficient. I took the light rail into downtown on that hot July 2023 late afternoon. We walked up here. I got what Irish pubs are often known for, which was fish & chips. Fish & chips were subpar, kind of all mostly breading. A good amount of fries at least, which were superior to the fish. Service was very slow. People's food arrival was vastly different from each other. My friend was hangry as it was ridiculous of them to be so slow with his. Mick O'Sheas was within walking distance of our hotel, so we decided to try it out. It is a small neighborhood irish pub. Atmosphere is nothing spectacular. Infact, one of my reasons for the lower stars is that we sat towards the back where it smelled like old cigars and a musty mold filled room. The smell was a turn off for me. Service was fast and our waiter was friendly. We ordered a french dip sandwich and the black bean burger with yucca fries. The food was tasty, except for the yucca fries. I'm not a huge fan of Irish pubs but it was Saint Patrick's Day and we just had to partake at Mick O'Shea's. It wasn't as terribly crowded as I expected and we were able to grab a four top in the dining room. The hostess let us know we had a two hour time limit since there were reservations coming in which was no problem. I really appreciate them being so accommodating on such a busy day! The inside is absolutely gorgeous with a big wooden bar, lots of bar stools, and a counter facing the window which was open on this particularly nice day. I was drinking Jameson and ginger since I can't drink beer but my boyfriend commented on how the Guinness was just perfect. And it really looked delicious, I was actually jealous. My boyfriend got the chicken nachos and our friend got the fish tacos. The nachos were pretty good, exactly what you'd expect at a bar. Liquid cheese, jalapenos, the works. The fish tacos were a generous portion size with big filets of fried fish in each flour tortilla. My friend loved them. The service was friendly and efficient too. Stayed Thanksgiving weekend in Baltimore to explore both the Harbor and Fells Pointe. During our stay at Hotel Indigo we initally walked past this bar headed back to our hotel and it seemed dead and dark inside; looks can be deceiving please go on in. When we arrived back at our hotel bar they were about to close and suggested we check out this place. We followed there advice and were so glad we did. Upon entry they appeared to be closng down and said they go with the number of patrons to determine their closing time. This worked out greatly as once we arrived and only two other patrons were at the bar a swarm soon followed. Our favorite bartender is Laura. I noticed a huge difference in her making my drink and the other bartenders who only ask for your order but give no suggestions, do not offer to allow you to sample something on tap, and the potency. I soon realized that I will only recommend this place to others if Laura is the bartender. There were times we wanted to try something new, she asked a few questions and handcrafted us the perfect drink. Her personality was amazing, drinks were strong, and she kept people wanting to drink and be apart of the banter. If Laura isn't there I am not going. We went two nights in a row and the second night we were there we brought with us a couple we met who were in Bmore from Cleveland for a cruise. They enjoyed the place but it was missing her personality, patrons, and the drinks weren't as handcrafted, special or potent. now for the food. This is by far a pub with the best food I have ever tasted. I ordered the fish and chips that was an amazing fleshy piece of cob hand breaded and a jambalaya that too this day I am still dreaming about with its chunks of chicken breast, sauteed small pieces of sausage and gravy like texture filled with flavor that was bold and packed a welcomed punch. My partner had some type of irish sausage dish and loved it. We will return to visit Laura this spring for our next rendevous here for sure. read more

If I had the time to be "a regular" anywhere, I think Mick O'Shea's is the place I would pick. It's just such a solid bar/pub - the drinks are reasonably priced and the list is long (not just beers but also whiskey/scotch/bourbon and other things), the food is also pretty damn good and the wooden interior is cozy. I personally really like the location, there's some cute shop type things in the area and it's central to a lot of things. The last time I came here with my friend we got a couple appetizers to share and it was amazing! I liked everything we got, even the egg rolls, which I typically don't like egg rolls. My group was seated in the bar area and we had to order food from the bar. That turned out well as all our orders were correct and came to the table soon after we ordered. I had the corned beef and cabbage, which initially seemed dry, but the more I dug in, the more I enjoyed the food. It was very filling and reasonably priced. I happened to use the bathroom while I was there and was pleased with how clean it was, given how many people were at the bar. I arrived to a very crowded bar with tables open in the back. I was immediately greeted and seated. I was delivered menus for food and drinks, both with many good selections. I started with a Smithwick and ordered the French Dip with steak fries. The meal was a good portion size, looked good and tasted better than good. The menu revealed very reasonable meal prices. In many cases, the drinks were more expensive than the food. I had good service here and this place seemed like a cool place to hang out. I had been here years ago and enjoyed the small room in the back with dart boards and tables - it is a great location for a small group to get together!
