And whilst Harris Farm is a chain, the one at Mosman deserves kudos for good management - somehow the team of staff at this market, for no obvious reason beyond good management, are consistently friendly, interested and helpful. But honestly, I've been shopping here (because I can't drive and its conveniently located near my place) for about 9 years and in that time it has seriously gone downhill! It is a shadow of its once super fresh self. It is very overpriced, the items in the refrigeration section sometimes contain mould, the fruit is often woody or tasteless, the potatoes spongy, the onions spotty and bananas so green I almost confused them with limes last week. Then to top it all off the leafy veggies look like they are in need of a good lie down. So why haven't I given this place just one star? Well, like I said, it's in a good location...and it doesn't close until 7pm...basically it scores 2 stars for convenience. If you have money, go to Fourth Village Providore instead. If you have a car then go to that fruit shop Avenue Road, a different Harris farm or better still, Paddys Markets.

It's gloriously ramshackle and cluttered, but in my opinion that's just part of the experience in going into these places. Prices are roughly the same as New Yen Yen or Thaikee, the two giant, modern Asian supermarkets in the area, but while I do enjoy shopping there, they just don't have the same exotic, old school feel to them. A lot of these places have been closing in the last couple of years, so get along and support Seasons while you still can.

But you cant really go there very day without getting bored in my opinion. Although, the other Bain-marie was turned off - maybe they'll stock up a bit more tomorrow. You can also have a sandwhich, they'll whipo you up something for a good price. But at the end of the day, its no Sydney icon, just a small-town eatery with a few of the good things we all enjoy. For the days when you want something a bit different the healthy salads or Vietnamese rolls are a good alternative. They also offer a good selection of extremely tempting cake slices as a special lunch time treat. I recommend the carrot cake or a choc brownie..... the cupcakes probably need a bit of work though......They also have entire cakes for sale, which I see people buying pretty frequently but I'm yet to indulge in an entire cake for lunch. My only gripe is that this place often starts closing up around 2ish. They offer a few seats on the street, but my tip is to take the short walk to the alfred park and enjoy your sandwich there.

Has freshly baked rolls, sliced bread, sweets such as tarts, brownies, slices, cakes you name it! They also serve freshly made pork, chicken or salad rolls! There is always a crowd at lunchtime and the ladies are quick at whipping up a sambo for the hungry worker. This is a little find and I always buy my bread from here.
