I have been going to Micks scuba for 5 years now. The service is excellent and the staff is very polite and very knowledgeable. The training courses are very informative. I would recommend micks scuba for anyone wanting to dip their toe in the water or get advanced training in scuba diving. read more

Put a deposit down on taking a course, received all necessary supplies for the course, couldn't make the scheduled class and the owner tells me I owe him for the course. What is the purpose of a deposit if I am going to owe for the entire amount? I'm sorry but if I pay a deposit anywhere else and cancel I'm out the deposit. Hence the idea of a deposit. The deposit according to him covers the cost of the book and supplies so I can study at home, and I get that, so how do I have a balance in his system for the full class? I spent no time in class or in the water so how do I owe any money besides the deposit? Instead of rescheduling my in class and in water portion, I'm gonna pay 2 times for a class? Absolutely not. I understand you want to fill your classes, but life happens and I'm not paying for services I don't receive. I use to buy dive gear there, I won't anymore because I won't pay for a class I didn't take on top of his over priced equipment. I'll buy online equipment and use the other dive shops in the area that can accommodate busy schedules or life's misfortunes. read more

Duane at Mick's Scuba has made learning to dive with my two sons a pure pleasure. The staff are professional, thorough, and yet leave room for tons of fun. The gear they provide for training is of excellent quality, and the gear they have for sale is a tremendous value.
