The other vegan options are dumpling soup and banana split. The burger, which came with roasted veg, dijonnaise, roasted potatoes, and salad, was hearty and filling. I think the patty was Gardein but I'm not certain. The brownie was pretty ordinary (too cakey and not fudgy enough) but the ice cream was excellent!

La Vielle Usine though was an exception as the food was reasonably priced and the portions quite large. We settled on soup as an appetizer and fried cod as our main dish and it was very good. Nothing fancy, just good simple food. The service was generally good but a bit slow when trying to get the bill. I would recommend it and would definitely go back if I were in the area.

All of the algae that has been photographed was found in the Baie-Des-Chaleurs. They also have a few other offerings such as scarves and photos, as well as bath salts (those are by a Montreal company called LVNEA). This shop is definitely worth checking out if you're in the area - it's up the road from the dock.
