After having a medical crisis last year, I found myself (hopefully temporarily!) unable to drive. One of the services Mid-Cumberland has to offer is transportation, which was my greatest need. They have been able to get me back and forth to my medical appointments with ease. Sometimes, it takes a bit of creative juggling to get put on the schedule because they only work Monday through Friday, and Life doesn't stop just because it's a weekend. If you can schedule what you need to do during the week, then Mid-Cumberland can help get you there. Grocery shopping, running other errands, medical appointments, whatever you need, they can help. They can even take you and your dog to the vet, and you can schedule multiple trips in a single outing! The transportation service is affordable, and if you meet income and age guidelines, you might get your rides covered for free. This is a terrific service for the handicapped or the elderly.
