Instead of leaving an invoice or responding to my email, she sent me a registered "Demand" letter, threatening to send my file to collections!!! I have an excellent credit rating and now this woman threatens me, rather than simply returning my email and setting up an invoice to pay. I contact her and now she is away for an entire month!. What kind of organization are you operating. It may have started as a small family company, but in no way does it reflect the Quebec culture and respect it once did.

I ordered three custom sofas from JC Perreault, manufactured by Décor-Rest, expecting high quality and durability. What I received was anything but. After waiting six months for delivery, one of the sofas started to fail within another six months--springs were literally coming out of the seat. It took over a month for anyone to come and fix it. Fast forward eight months, and the same sofa broke again in the exact same way. This furniture is in the home of an elderly woman, with no children, no pets, and very light use. If a sofa can't survive in that environment, I can only imagine how quickly it would fall apart in a home with young children or animals. It's not only disappointing--it's dangerous. The fact that this happened twice with the same piece shows a clear failure in Décor-Rest's quality control, and JC Perreault's after-sales service was slow and unhelpful. They were quick to take our money but nowhere near as responsive when things went wrong. A sofa of this price and brand reputation should last for years--not fall apart twice within less than two. This is not an isolated issue; it's a warning sign. I would strongly caution anyone considering purchasing from either of these companies. Buyer beware: you're on your own once they deliver.

You'll notice a little musty smell when you enter Meubles Grand Berger's stairs up to the first Lower Level. Don't hesitate to make it to the Upper Level next floor up because there are certainly more varied finds. Used furniture on the whole in Montreal is less expensive than comparable items in New York City, so I've been always impressed by what I've seen. Despite named "Meubles" the organized top floor in particular covers a lot of the non-furniture items. This flea market also groups together Québec related stuff, if that's of interest. It's easy to reach by Montreal's Metro. If flea markets are your thing, Meubles Grand Berger is worth checking out!

No a great way to spend the weekend. The central vac is crucial for our busy family. So I contacted this shop by finding it by way of Google. Sammy the guy working there was really helpful and offered to meetup on a Saturday. Vacuum shops are an interesting graveyard of many old models and parts. Here his specialty is Electrolux. He showed me he had a couple of models over 60 years old he refurbished still in working order. This was the Dyson vacuum before Dyson models came out with their sleek sexy minimal style. He did a test an showed me how the motor was toast. He had a replacement and offered to do it the same day and would clean up the unit. I went downtown to run some errands and came back and it was in great shape and looked like new. Awesome service and price was reasonable for a replacement. Paid cash and worked out an amicable deal for both parties. If you have an Electrolux this is the place to go.

I asked him why he did that and he said he had no guarantee I was coming. I asked why he didn't hold the washer until noon. He then yelled at me, "Are you telling me how to run my business?" What a miserable and non-ethical person. Avoid this place at all costs. I wouldn't be surprised if he cheats on his refurbed equipment.
