Dr. Abassi ordered a CT with contrast (painful for about 5 minutes) he recommended surgery at L3-L5. I was nervous about spine surgery because my older brother had spine surgery and never really walked well again. However, the Dr. suggested I get a third or fourth opinion ( which I had already done and didn't like their recommendations) I promptly agreed to his recommendation. On May 3, 2024, I had surgery. After the surgery, I was in excruciating pain. My wife actually left because she couldn't take it anymore. But, they provided ample pain meds and I calmed down. I was walking within 6 hours of surgery with a walker, but got rid of that within a week. Today, my back and leg pain are essentially gone, and I am golfing. So 4 months after surgery, I am golfing a full 18 holes. My score is not quite what it used to be, but I am careful, hitting the ball straighter and without pain. I'd call that a very successful outcome. He says I can't make you age 30 again, but at 76, I'm happy to feel like 50! I should have done it sooner.

We made it very clear when we made the appointment that the purpose was to talk with a Dr. about artificial disk replacement as a future option. They charged us a crazy amount of $$ to get my husbands information over the phone for his appointment in Burnsville and they charged us for the appointment in which we were told it's illegal to have artificial disk replacement. If that truly is what Dr. Kim believes, then why did he proceed to see my husband knowing that was what we were looking to talk about??

During this call, I was informed that this policy is not currently communicated to patients and that there are no plans to proactively share it. That was surprising and concerning to hear. To provide context, during my pregnancy when I was very sick I never missed an appointment and consistently arrived 10 minutes early. I was frequently seen 30-45 minutes after my scheduled time, but I remained patient and understanding, recognizing that delays can happen in medical settings and never complained. More recently, I had to reschedule my annual exam three times over the course of a few months due to circumstances outside of my control: a family emergency, personal illness, and then my child becoming sick. I never no-showed and never canceled the day of an appointment. Despite this, I received a call questioning my reasons for rescheduling, and the tone of the conversation felt unnecessarily rude and accusatory. I do want to emphasize that Dr. Brown has been wonderful, and all of the nurses I've interacted with have been kind and compassionate. My concern is solely with how this policy was communicated and the manner in which the situation was handled. I believe clear communication and mutual respect are essential in a healthcare setting, and I hope this feedback is helpful in improving the patient experience going forward.

I had symptoms of PID which I've had before so I made an…read moreappointment, my gyno was full for weeks but they assured me that the PA, Mackenzie Drimel was qualified to see me. I was wary but still came in. She told me that it wasn't PID despite me advocating it was as I know my body and have had it before. She dismissed me several times despite my extreme pain and discomfort. I decided to make another appointment at a different location and to my dismay it was her again. She told me, again, it wasn't PID and again, I intensely advocated for myself. Finally she gave in and said she'd go talk to my actual gyno. She came back in and said "she thinks I'm right and doesn't believe it's PID again". I said that I don't care and would like the medicine anyway. After several minutes of pleading she finally agreed to write me a prescription, and of course, within 5 days my symptoms were gone. I was right. I'm very unhappy with how this was handled. Flash forward to this week and I get a text for a bill from the 2 visits. $880 AFTER INSURANCE. I wouldn't have even had to come in again if she had just diagnosed me correctly in the first place. I will be fighting this charge and am very unhappy with this clinic. Do not see Mackenzie Drimel if you want to be treated with respect and be seen by someone who will actually listen to you.

I selected get in the wait line as it told me about 25 minutes to be seen. I arrived, pleasant desk and asked to fill out part of information sheet as related to me injury. I was quickly directed to main floor desk for check in. Pleasant staff making me feel welcome .A nice waiting area to fill out my form. I waited 10 minutes, then escorted to treatment room. Tech asked me questions about my injury and took my temperature. Recorded our conversation and said doc would be right in. The waiting rooms so clean! Baseboards and walls like new. Exam table, chairs, desk with stool and quiet . I waited about 20 minutes for him, Dr Wissink. Great smile, personable, listened to my story, let me know he was going to record it for accuracy, felt the painful area. Recommended steroids and muscle relaxer with follow up orders IF I needed it for MRI and Physical Therapy. They called in my meds to my pharmacy. His associate followed up with a copy of my visit report. What started out as a day in pain only took me about an hour plus the drive to get a great resolution to my issue. Just outstanding!!! The icing on the cake? My meds were ready at my pharmacy by the time I got there. I had no idea there was urgent care for orthopedics Northland Plaza main floor to the left by escalators. I had been there to third floor for rehab after shoulder surgery two years ago. Parking was ample at the 8100 building in the ramp or on the grounds. Every time I go there I am impressed with the feeling of a clean beautiful lobby with information desk, gift shop and check-in desk. Staff amazing!!! Thank You Tria for a great experience. .

Tria Orthopedic Urgent Care does not bill your insurance as "urgent care". They instead bill it as…read morean office visit, which means you insurance doesn't cover it like an urgent care visit. Instead by billing this as an office visit you are now out of network. When I inquired about why this was, they actually didn't care and reiterated they would bill my insurance as an office visit, even though my son was seen at an Urgent Care clinic. I will never use this facility again, even though I really liked the care we were given by the actual doctor. And I will also tell everyone NEVER to use this facility.
