Blueberry Eclair and French Martini!!Beautiful :) xx

Lovely little place for a cake and a cocktail! Everything is delicious but the service was a little slow and inconsistent when I visited for a girlie afternoon. Took over half an hour for anyone to take our order and then another half an hour to get the order, and unfortunately some of it was wrong. Another issue I had was the lack of menu for the patisseries, you have to just go by the look of the cakes when choosing, would be nice to have a description to help you choose! Having said all that I enjoyed everything that I had and will definitely give it another go.

Dessert cocktails and cakes - what more could you ask for?!

A dream come true - booze and buns all under one roof. OK, that is actually a massive disservice to Miel et Moi, when in actual fact it is so much more than that. Delicious drinks - wines, champagne, cocktails are the perfect accompaniment to full breakfast, lunch and dinner menus. However the piece de resistance for Miel et Moi, has to be the outstanding patisserie selection. I visited on a Thursday evening and despite the awful weather outside, was pleasantly surprised to find a real hustle bustle atmosphere in this decidedly swish eatery. Having had dinner elsewhere, my partner in crime and I were in search of some sweet treats and Miel et Moi certainly didn't disappoint. From the glorious selection, I went for a peanut butter and white chocolate blondie, my partner had a chocolate and strawberry tower and we shared chocolate and salted macaroons - sugar heaven! As if we weren't sweet enough by this stage, we also opted for dessert cocktails which although were delicious, we felt were slightly expensive for their size. That is a recurrent theme in Miel et Moi though, it's big prices, small portions. But I suppose that's the price you pay to enjoy an experience such as this. And it's probably a good job the pastries are that little bit expensive or else someone would have had to roll me out that door! Staff are great, very patient and the ambiance is really lovely. It lends itself very well to a romantic date night.

Lovely little cakes, great coffee. Service was excellent!

Love this place. Had amazing coffee and raspberry cake there today. Sunday afternoon with live acoustic entertainment which just adds to the ambience of the French Patisserie.

Got to do a wee update of my previous review of AM:PM after last night's shenanigans. This review…read moreis for Cabaret Super Club who were incidentally celebrating their 13th Birthday last night. As part of these birthday celebrations they gave an audience of 100 people plus a taster of what Cabaret was all about. The evening started with a crooner who was built in the mould of the original rat pack, he took on some Sinatra classics as well as some other classic sing alongs. The evening was hosted by the unbelievably entertaining Robert who sang all the classics and engaged with the audience in hilarious fashion (sitting in the front row I was inevitably on the end of some of his quips). Between Robert's songs there were talented burlesque dancers who wouldn't have been out of place in the Moulin Rouge. The club itself is deceptively roomy and the acoustics are perfect for these type of shows. There's not many other places in Belfast that couple eating and entertainment so if you haven't been down to the super club then I would suggest booking yourself in - you are guaranteed great entertainment and value for money.

So me and my mum and a couple of friends hit the Cabaret Supper club last night for their 13th…read moreBirthday bash. I've been to the venue before a few times for the general show and for some tribute acts. We were greeted at the door with a glass of bubbly, which lets face it kicks any night off to a good start! Seating wasn't assigned so being nice and early we managed to nab seats right at the front of the stage! (I believe you can reserve tables as well) Entertainment kicked off with a swing and blues singer who was very good. I love the style of music anyway so it was right up my street, My mum and I also got stuck in to a bottle of prosecco. It was nice but at the pricey range of some I've bought. At £32 a bottle it was good stuff, but I wouldn't be hurrying for more except on a special occasion. After the first bit of Entertainment platters of 'tappas' style buffet trays were brought round. This was a little different for me as I'd only ever eaten the full sit down dinner before in the venue (Which are great) The food was fantastic, but I think we chose the wrong seat. We had a few nibbles from the first tray and then the rest seemed to pass us by for the rest of the night. So in the end we got enough to fight off the hunger but were left wanting more. (The selection was great ranging from mini-burgers, fries, chicken goujons, pork belly and other little finger foods) The burgers especially were delicious. After food the main show kicked off. Our main host of the night was Robert Brown. I've worked with Robert in the past and I know how great a performer he is so it was nice to see other people who hadn't react to him. I was particularly impressed by the drag performer Cherrie who had an amazing voice and a great repertoire of songs, and off course the Burlesque girls were amazing. (There was a gentleman in the audience I am sure was drooling at one point and was completely mesmerised by the whole show. Also props for the girl who did the take on Jessica Rabbits scene from 'Who framed Roger Rabbit!) We finished up the second half of the show with a nice bottle of Chilean rose wine. It was nice, but again a tad on the pricey side, at £18 a bottle, just above the average and with a nice sweet bouquet it was ok, but think I'll hit the pints next time to save the wallet so close to the end of the month. Overall the Cabaret Supper Club is a great night out, the performance is great and the food is good. (I think the average price for dinner and show is around £30 per head so its very good value) Its a unique experience that will leave you wanting to come back for more. Bravo!

We ordered a Hilden Belfast Blonde and a Small Axe Session IPA. It wasn't super busy so talked to the bartender about travel. As another bartender walked in we also discussed beer and cocktails. He told us that flavored Gins were popular. He let us smell a few of the popular ones since we are not big gin drinkers. Decided to stop in the ladies room before leaving and found an interesting group of old photos while there. We didn't try any food but loved the beer and cocktail options and really enjoyed talking to both the bartenders. Stop by and check it out.

Belfast is a…read moregreat little town with exciting history and beautiful buildings; definitely somewhere we wish we could have spent some more time at. After getting a recommendation from a few workers at a local coffee shop as well as picking up a full restaurant week booklet from the tourist office, we decided to go to The Apartment for a gourmet Irish dinner. We were seated upstairs at a couch adjacent to a big glass wall overlooking town hall and the city center. For the restaurant week special we got to choose two of either an appetizer, dinner, or dessert in addition to a glass of wine for €13. We ordered an appetizer of smoked salmon with beetroot mousse, rye bread, and gherkins. The mousse was really something special, but when you got a perfect bite with each item on the plate it was mouth watering. I ordered the Northern Irish Bacon Chopvwith traditional black pudding, garlic potatoes, and cauliflower puree. We'd never seen bacon served as a slab, but it was pretty epic, and yes I ate the whole thing. It was a little on the salty side, but well worth the experience. The cauliflower was amazing and left us searching for a recipe! My wife ordered the roast local cod with potato mash. The cod was cooked to perfection with a buttery goodness that highlighted the delicate flavor. The artichoke puree complimented it very well. They really know their purees and mousses! The mash was very cheesy and tasty, but nothing too special, the garlic fries were better. For our final course we ordered their steamed chocolate pudding with honeycomb ice-cream and a latte. The dessert was almost like a lava cake but with a very enjoyable and unique texture that made it light and delicious. The caramel drizzle and ice cream were a perfect pairing. The latte was delicious and a perfect rounded ending to a very good meal.

I've had my fair share of memorable burgers from coast to coast in America, but just glancing at a picture of the beef shin burger transports me back across the pond to the Barking Dog. I remember the few days I spent in Belfast fondly and of the many memories, my meal at the Barking Dog was a definite highlight. In a rather quaint and charming neighborhood, I took a nice short stroll from my Airbnb and came across this gem of an establishment and decided I had to check it out. I had a nice beer to start, and it wasn't a Guinness because stouts aren't my thing, but whatever it was I remember it being excellent and local. Undoubtedly you could make this place a regular haunt and there is no shortage of drinks and food options to make this a go-to for a date, celebration, or a quick meal. The staff are welcoming, kind, and helpful and the general atmosphere is chill. The food for me was ethereal - a burger isn't just a burger here and what you get when you bite into the beef shin burger is a little slice of Heaven. Moist and tender are a given but the taste is just so divine with the caramelized onion, cheddar, and horseradish mayo melding into an union of perfection. It's hard not to describe one of the most memorable meals of my life in such hyperbole but the vivid recall I have of this particular place is uncanny and merits all the praise I can heap upon the fine folks that run the place. If timing had worked out, I would have eaten as meals here as I could have but I'll thank my lucky stars for at least giving me one opportunity to eat such a wonderful burger at such a wonderful eatery. A+ and a definite must when visiting Belfast.
